@@Monkeyman-qt1smgo near front line and get an op down then go back and run supplies , just tell your guys to build fortifications on supplies and defend objective
@@LA-Bricks this is a good idea, I played as command for the first time the other day, was pretty much just running supply trucks and half tracks wherever was necessary. I forget the name of the map but the objective was brick factory. We had so many supplies they built hella defenses and I slapped a reinforce down last second and we won the game!
I once saw an assault player take the church on SME by running straight into it yelling BANZAII! and right clicking grenades. He sacrificed everything so that my squad could casually walk in and start defending.
Had a 2 man squad where the guy who was my squad lead swapped to support spawned on me and dropped a second box of supply to make a garry. Gotta love that teamwork.
Nothing is better than defending. More fun than attackers will see. 1 squad in the circle, the other hunting down OP's, airheads and Gary's. Holding the shit together for the attackers to finally take a point.
Absolute spot on! The TEAM is what it is about . Everything is pointed to the goal of winning. 25% more experience is a great reward for being a non selfish bastard. THEN, laying out NODEs ( and keeping them updated) is , perhaps, the second best operation for the team. There has been more than one game where I wish we can award more than just one commendation. I have led, and also been in squads that go the extra mile for the team. Great video! Keep it up!
i was playing as a medic with the Germans in Omaha beach. We drove the Allies back to the beaches and we had a solid group of 4-5 medics. Nicknamed the Field hospital. One of the best games I’ve ever played.
Switching to engineer and buddying up for a brief period with another engineer to use one supply truck to build two full sets of nodes. I could see the commanders relief and appreciation when I glanced up at the chat! I don't often get called "beautiful" so it made my combat swagger staunch AF!
Had a couple games where I was playing defense with another engineer until my squad lead left. Took the role of officer myself and asked for all the available engineers to help with building defenses. Got the same guy and let everyone know who it was at the end of the game. Together we got 7 (3 and 4) commendations at the end of the game. People like people who defend
One thing I will always do as a SL is make sure my guys know that we have shifted to defense of a point. I know its not always a fun job but someone has to do it. Its not always about being on the front lines. Sometimes the frontlines come to you and that's why we are always ready
Since no medics were helping injured soldiers i went 264 yards to heal a squad leader he was a war hero (they were telling me that because he killed 9 germans and had did alot of supply drops) so i got bloodied and battered but in the end we won and that squad leader is a amazing dude
Yeah, one of the most satisfying moments in HLL i've had. Was playing SL, defending middle cap. With a gang of glorious randos of various experince levels. Everybody playing their role, doing their best, some banter, no whining. It was a stressful 90 minutes playing whack-a-mole. We obviously did'nt do it by ourselves, but basically ;). Awesome round. And to top it of I got the commanders accommodation.
One of the easiest things to help a team which I try to do as often as possible is spawn as an engineer and build nodes at the start. Surprising how few players seem to want to do that. Sure you miss the first few minutes of the initial firefight but think of all the sweet xp from a set of nodes that's being used all game.
Best Hell Let Loose memory, Garrison was hot so I say "Garry is hot...like my ex wife...guess you know who divorced who" and for an hour and a half it was ex wife jokes in the squad.
As a player who often ends up advocating for and playing defense in games: thank you. Once people realize defense is so much more fun and easier than attacking it’s like a light switch. Would much rather sit on a spot and let the enemy come to me so I can farm their persistence rather than be the one to get farmed.
Welcome good sir, and thanks for the comment. Don't get me wrong I'm happy to attack but preparing an objective for defence and then doing it is such a good feeling
Great video giving appreciation to some of the players that make the games truly satisfying. These players are worthy of way more commendations than I could give at the end of a round, win or lose. Also, what is the song that starts at 1:30?
I am the guy that runs around with a full paratrooper outfit and an FG-42 playing behind enemy lines. Sniffing out Garry’s and taking out those stragglers trying to get the front line. Sometimes I’ll lock down enemy arty for a while. I also hang out at the fallback point when it’s looking squirrelly. Rarely do I actually attack.
Love when I'm playing squad lead, switch out to support to get supplies for a garri and someone else takes the spot. If they do the job, have at it. But when they don't, ugh.
Hey bud. You definitely forgot one. And that's a team member that observes that this isn't COD, to a big portion of us anyway, who not only plays how it's SUPPOSED to be played, but sets an example by taking time to put a youtube video together to show the newer guys what it used to be, and what it could be again. That's you. Pat yourself on the back.
Hell, let loose needs more platoon types. We have infantry, recon, and armor. Why not add a supply division, enginer battalion, artillery battalion, and the sort. Instead of relying completely on leadership
@OrggsOrggs depends on why you left buddy? I never left but I've reduced and increased my time on the game depending on interest and other games. I mean people still dying so we always need a dedicated medic in the field 🙃
@@OrggsOrggs ahh, I've heard of this issue from others hailing from Aus before. Nice! I think I'm level 4 or 5 it's probably one of the best roles in the game for immersion

That's a hero right there
Thats not a hero, thats a player that understands the game. We have to teach everyone, that this is how you play this game.
Nothing is better than defending. More fun than attackers will see. 1 squad in the circle, the other hunting down OP's, airheads and Gary's. Holding the shit together for the attackers to finally take a point.
I love a medic that runs about screaming "Drugs, Heroin," rescuing downed soldiers that are in need of a fix.
The teacher - A player that teaches others how to actually play the game.
Its not "Charge At Point", it's "Map Control.".

My best memory of buddy is a 3 series of incredible recon runs one evening. Sometimes, the right chemistry just happens
100% some of my best experiences in this game have been finding those perfect randoms...even if its a steamroller it makes it different
When i am a SL, i always tell my team "we're dedicated defence" then call out to command "Hey command, X squad is your defense squad"
