    Cinder blocks for base bro.
    And a shower drain with threads works better.

    As they say Rome was not built in a day. Neither was a duck pond. So many steps in building this. Awesome job Aaron and Quinn.

    Aaron you always have the bestest helper and sidekick in Quinn. He gets o excited about the process of projects. Can't wait for the next video to see how you two manage to stop the leak and get the pond filled.

    Get a PVC bolt on flange then you have clamping force between pond and actual fitting. Thanks for making mistakes so I dont have to... My family just got our first ducks today. :)

    I like your build and am currently creating my cut list. I've found the grate you used and am building out from there. Any tips since it’s been a while?

    Did you have to put a pump to drain the water or just gravity? Would have been nice to see where the water drained to. Did end of pipe sit in 3/4 rocks to prevent flooding?

    That green drain sticks up from bottom surface. Duck poop and a layer of water will remain under the grade of the drain.

    What did you use to keep it from leaking around the silicone?? We did it pretty similar as to what you are doing but still leaks. Any ideas would be great! Thank you.

  • @Yamswiggin

    Our ducks create a STAGGERING amount of grit in the water. Does your sluice still seal fully or has grit built up in the gap and prevented it from staying fully sealed?

    • @SymanSaysFarmsVlog
      @SymanSaysFarmsVlog  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The pond still holds water. Unfortunately it drains very slow. I think I have to somehow clear the drain pipe

    Nice build and backing! I would say make sure that you DO NOT buy the CHINA rip-off version of this product get the “run chicken”….it will have problems!…get the one made in Europe even though it’s more expensive. It’s a great product

    That wooden frame is not load bearing. 🫤 Physics and downward force. Easy fix as well.
