      @@EpicGammingCrewcertainly with that second yellow. Even then, LA had plenty of chances to win that game, none of which had to do with the officiating. Miami just isn’t that great. Even the opening game they were fortunate not to settle for a draw against a basically incomplete RSL. Galaxy should have won that game by a comfortable 2 goals.

      @@rockinmel1 You referenced Andrew's comment on a specific offside call. I don't believe that call would have been any different with a different crew. It was a close enough offside that it not being called on the field with a different crew is very possible. So that leaves VAR to recommend an on field review. VAR for the game is not unexperienced.

    While the refereeing wasn’t as bad as I was expecting it’s unfathomable that a show completely dedicated to refereeing in MLS wouldn’t mention that the typical MLS refs employed by PRO were on strike and that these were effectively scab refs crossing the line of a labor dispute due to a controversial corporate lock out. But what can you expect from the company men in the media department? Weibe, you’ve gone to the dark side and it’s disappointing to see. Ever since apple entered the fray, some objectivity of the broadcasters has been lacking, meaning that as an audience we can no longer trust that we’re receiving the whole story or the real story vs just A story.

      @MrCho14 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    • @MrCho14
      @MrCho14 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jacksonwebsterjw They have always been 'careful' of what they discuss. It's just more right now on how they present it. It is odd they've decided to not acknowledge it at all, but MLS is all about trying to control the narrative.
      That aside, it still goes back to the first part of my comment. There are many games. They only pick a few plays to talk about. People always complain that certain games aren't covered, but it's usually because they feel they were done wrong or such. Covering PI over an entire game is just boring from a show perspective and there was plenty of other content to this week to not go there.
      What exactly would you want highlighted on the DOGSO? That it was correctly called? It was a tough one to get live given the CR was way up field (these refs didn't have to pass the standard fitness test) but it was properly called using VAR.

      Its in the box and the ref ruled that the defender was trying to play the ball. It's close but with the whole debacle of the VAR confirming no Pen then coming back and telling the ref to go to the monitor to make the pen call, I'm ok with the result. I suspect that the ref wanted to make the call on the field but since the offside flag went up VAR initially didn't want to overrule his call thus confirming the call but I bet he explained that it would have been a pen if it wasn't for the offside. But that's all speculation imo.

      @fleisch24 right I agree, but Farsi appears to be going toward goal and while there are 3 defenders around him, none are in a position to actively defend against him. I think Benteke's goal is clearly offside. While the Revs defender is obscured by DC's #12, we can then extrapolate that he is no closer to the goal than that attacking player. Thus we can use the DC player as a surrogate. If you compare his position relative to the 6yd box to Benteke's position relative to the 6, it's clear to me that Benteke is closer and thus offside.
