Ya know Matty, when Deegan first turned Pro, i wasnt sure if would be a champion, obviously he is, but then i was thinking he couldn't compete with Jett. Now, on the other hand, watching this kid progress amd above all, learn, there is no doubt in my mind he absolutely will be challenging Jett for the top spot. Either way, no one on the track wants to win as bad as Haiden. So no matter what, its going to be the most fun to watch for all MX fans! I cant wait! 😀
Time will tell. If he dominates SX this season and backs up his mx title than he might have a shot. Definitely needs to progress a good amount though if he wants to challenege jett his rookie year on the 450. Look forward to finding out, haiden is fun as hell to watch and is getting fast. Everyone fails to account for Jett's 250 career statistics when they say Deegan can't/won't challenge him. Jett wasn't as dominate in the 250 class as he is in the 450 class. Jett's average finish his 2nd Pro MX season was 2.67 with a championship. Deegan's 2nd Pro MX season was an average of 2.09 with a championship. If Deegan stays on this projection then yes, he will be battling up front with Jett. Only time will tell.
He'll need to learn to ride the 450 more conservatively before he can run up with jett. He can't ride the 450 the way he rides the 250 and be up there with Jett for 30+ 2. Otherwise Jetts just gonna beat him off consistent speed and having more to give late race

Deegans good but hes only had Tom Vialle to battle, hes really the only champion Deegan has faced. Its ridiculous people think his only problem will be Jett. Hes gonna have trouble in the 450 class. Not just the other riders but the bike. Hes not going against a bunch of multi year 250 riders either, he will actually have some competition against some champions.
In time Deegan will absolutely be great on 450s. Can he beat Jett? It would be dumb to say he will. No one knows what ultimate speed he can get from his riding style.
Haiden is the number one star even over Jett. he's definitely going to make Jett earn every race he's not going to be like the rest and move over and let Jett go. Beaumer is the kid deserved of hype, 2 years ago he was a futures kid running out of a van with a privateer Yamaha, he spent majority of his teenage years in the water training for jetskis, and riding dirt bikes was just something he did on the side. He hasn't had tracks in his backyard manicured for him, he hasn't had the very best bikes to train on since he was 4 like haiden, and now he's leading the SX, after 2 rounds, while the self proclaimed wonder boy is sulking in his top of the range motorhome with private chef and masseuse 🤣🤣
He's got dog in him like Carmichael or Tomac but will never be on Jett Lawrence's level being a dog doesn't win against Jett gota have that role through corners jump for show corner for dough

And that’s something jeffrey always struggled with, so it’s something I’m excited to see in such a young guy.
Im predicting we won't see it till summer of 2026 He's going to want to win the 2025 supercross defend his Motocross title and then defend his supercross title in 2026. so if no injuries and we're lucky maybe Motocross 2026 on the Ducati??

Jett was on the 250 for years. He didn't win his first sx title until his third season and he won his second his fourth season. Hunter was in the 250 class until he was almost 24 years old and didn't win any titles until his final season.

Shimoda hasn't quite been the same comparatively to everyone else also. Alternative theory, I think Jett's riding simply better suits the 450, he was fast enough to get it done in 250 but he excels even more on 450 thanks to throttle control balance and technique and being smart with understanding bike feel, he also has the race craft down to a science. His performance at MXON as well as 450 supercross and motocross championships tell the story, he is far more impressive than he ever was on a 250. I've been looking back on old races and he rides how Christophe Pourcel probably should have rode had he not gotten hurt. Deegan will be incredible but he we have to see how he does on a 450 before first, I think once he is up to sped he will trade wins depending on the style of track, with Jett having a strategic and conservative edge.
