Sometimes I think about how lucky we are to see these kinds of players. To grow up watching Sydney Crosby, who is unequivocally the best hockey player of his generation and now, is a great thing.
In terms of pure offensive hockey skills(So anything other than hockey sense), there might not ever be a better player than Ovechkin. Just a package of speed size and hands that I have never seen before.

My father and I went to our first road game with the Capitals and it was in NJ. We were at the game when the " dangleicious " happened. Some little S.O.B. runt behind me kept kicking my seat. Once Ovechkin did that; right in front of us, no less ; all was forgiven.

Kane has more highlight reel goals than all the rest put together. Who has anything like the backhand, bad angle spin o rama that Kane has? The wicked wrister, the surprisingly (for a little guy) Hard and dead accurate top shelf slapper? The blind saucer pass right on the tape? Ovi, Crosby, McKinnon, and McDavid are all bigger and stronger, Kane does it with finesse.
