    I pay my CCs like you do. I try to get the lowest amount paid off as quick as possible, and that keeps me motivated.
    I am a shopaholic and have got myself in major debt. I am chipping away at mine as well. Keep going girl

      I agree! There’s something about seeing a debt get lower even if it’s a small one. And paying it off that keeps you motivated versus the big ones that feel just like it’s never ending 😅 we got this. A year from now we’ll be in a different place!! It you need support I got you!!

    Yes if your phone isn’t paid in full it is a debt. I track my debt payments monthly and I include my mortgage.

    My husband retired in November so we had to make so many big changes pretty fast. I had to do a budget for the first time ever. Let me tell you, that really opened my eyes as to how much money we were blowing! It was unreal!
    We ate out way to much! Once I figured out a meal plan, we started saving so much money! The money we saved from eating out and grocery shopping, I started paying extra on our last credit card. Getting it paid off has been such a relief.
    Now we are working to get our house paid off by the end of 2026. Paying an extra $1400.00 a month on the principal, we will be knocking 19 years off of our mortgage.
    Finally, after 40 years of marriage, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel!
    If I could go back in time, I’d do things so differently! The main thing would be to do a budget! I always knew exactly what our income was but I was clueless as to what our actual monthly expenses were. Seeing the total on paper makes a huge difference.

      It is definitely eye-opening when you sit down and look at numbers. A plan of action and a budget is the way! I am so happy that you guys paid off your last credit card!! And getting your house paid off by the end of 2026 what an amazing goal! Thank you so much for sharing that. It gave me a little Wednesday morning inspiration! I can’t wait to hear any a year and a half that you have a paid off house! 🏠 💃🏻🍾🎉💕 I am so excited for you guys!

    Wow you just put into perspective I have phone debt. 😢 I don’t include my phone bill into my total debt because in my brain I’m paying a “service fee” but that makes total sense. I don’t have a paid off phone so yes, it is considered debt. Thanks girl!

    • @alexistacklesmoney
      @alexistacklesmoney  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is how I was feeling!! I’m like I don’t pay any interest or anything and it’s already in my phone bill so that’s why I was like why should I include it in debt. But at the end of the day if I paid it off, I’d have a lower phone bill, which I would love even more. 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻

    I include a phone payment since it’s a debt, you bought something without paying in full. Better yet, once you pay it off you have that amount to put towards another debt! 😀 I love growing my snowball.

    • @alexistacklesmoney
      @alexistacklesmoney  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s what I’m thinking! I’m going to add it to my total debt in May’s video. I can’t wait to have that extra snowball again to be getting things paid off!

    I don’t add phone to debt. I Just consider it part of the phone bill. You do what makes sense for you. :)

    • @alexistacklesmoney
      @alexistacklesmoney  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for your thoughts Robin! I know I was going back-and-forth because you can’t make extra payments on it only through your phone bill or you have to completely pay it off in full. But what I’m thinking is added to my debt. But create a savings challenge specifically for it!

    We consider the unpaid balance on a phone, device, or equipment through the phone company as a debt.

      @@alexistacklesmoney Yes, it lowers the monthly bill. But paying the phone et al allows you to switch companies and more too. It opens up options.
