I almost cried during the carriage scene because Nicola and Luke perfectly portrayed the agony and desire they had for each other. Luke’s eyes tearing up and full of emotion especially when Nicola touched his hair. Nicola’s plea that she didn’t want to be friends anymore. No massive amount of flesh was shown but you felt the passion. 😢😢😢
I noticed that Colin was in fact keeping everyone at some distance even his own family but clearly more himself with Pen. His charmings words to others peoples was basically him saying I won't tell you about my travel. He even say to his family that he don't remember how many places he visited. Like he know they're aren't that interested but told an exact number to Pen. And his conversation with her where all about her wellbeing and their relationship.
Two things that i love: the fact that she made Lord Debling stutter, even if he said that he doesn't know he can be able to love someone, I am completely sure she could have made him love her. The other thing is when Colin talks to Violet and she realizes he is talking about Penelope, that's one of my favorites scenes of the season. This video is beautiful
Speaking as someone who read these books and painted a picture in my mind of the world Julia Quinn created, they casted perfectly for Colin and Penelope. This was my favorite book in the series.

As someone whose body type matches Penelope... It was honestly cathartic to watch this season. I liked that it's not a romcom either, cause yes there were plus size QUEENS who did romcoms with this body type but Bridgerton is more serious and dramatic (I call it what it is, myself, a very cool soap opera, and I say that lovingly because I love soap operas, they are my not-feeling-guilty-about-any-of-this-ppleasures).
I thought for sure part one wouldve left a cliffhanger on him getting in the carriage or on pen proposal but im glad they ended it with the full carriage scene ❤

I am absolutely speechless and honestly I am absolutely obsessed with this season. The love story is just spicy, curious and raw with emotions that need to be let out. It’s wonderful to see Collin’s hunger for Penelope and him finally seeing what she went through being around him, and him not reciprocating what she’s feeling. It’s driving him absolutely insane and that’s what we want to see. But I will call Eloise out and say that was absolutely spiteful for you to tell the one person that wants to see her downfall that sort of information because you’ve only made yourself look worse to those around you, and hurt someone so much in the process. I think Nicola played her character less well.. It's like she's really good at portraying the witty and insecure side of the character Penelope but not the confident side. I felt that she even went out of character when Colin kissed her, she was very bold and stood out from him in her desire, I did not feel his presence. We were promised that Colin falls desperately in love with her in the season and longs for her and is upset, the scene didn't convey that to me...🤷🏾♀️ I'm disappointed in the story as well, the season wasn't as strong as I expected 🥲

It was not romantic for me. Neither the desperate first kiss, nor the carriage scene. The first kiss left a big impression on him, but it didn't come from a mutual attraction. The carriage was passionate but even at the end she wasn't sure of his feelings, she revealed she wanted more than friends but he said only that he'd been confused lately. I didn't appreciate the broken glass / let me bandage your hand trope either. There wasn't a history to that. (Compare bee scene with Kate for example, so much better). The cupcake licking was cheap and tasteless, I didn't like it, there isn't a culture for it in this series. It was a good start when he mentored her, too bad they stopped that. This edit was more beautiful than the original.

I think Nicola played her character less well.. It's like she's really good at portraying the witty and insecure side of the character Penelope but not the confident side. I felt that she even went out of character when Colin kissed her, she was very bold and stood out from him in her desire, I did not feel his presence. We were promised that Colin falls desperately in love with her in the season and longs for her and is upset, the scene didn't convey that to me...🤷🏾♀️ I'm disappointed in the story as well, the season wasn't as strong as I expected 🥲
