As a mom of a teen, I can say this is all so true. Every word Kelly said. I love how relatable she is.

Dang one thing I can say about Kelly Ripa she doesn't play with her kids. That's a good thing.

She’s an Italian girl from Jersey...’nuff said! Watch the video of her Dad teaching her to drive, you’ll see where she got that from

Kelly and I parented so much alike. Her kids seem like such great teens. Great job Kelly. Love these stories, especially knowing I was not the only one.

I love Kelly for being the " Good Mom " that she is...She is a no nonsense kind of mom like I and many that I know...In our generation had...They had some sort of 8th sense...Lol :))

When Lola was on the show once she was polite, mannerly and graceful. Kelly has much to be proud about with their kids.

That’s so true, she and Mark raised some great kids. And Lola is, to put it mildly, stunning!

Lee Scott Exactly. Gen x people don’t mess around. We did not have helicopter parents. We had parents. And they weren’t playing.

Memories of 90+ year old parents: "You're grounded; Oh, you're so mistreated, you've got it so bad living here, I feel sorry for you; I pay the bills, house rules. If you don't like it, there's the door. Don't let it hit you in the ass on the way out. Good luck paying rent." Seems to have worked for hard-working, kind, generous, determined and stubborn kids, most with hearing-impairments since birth. Their strength to call us out when we needed it, establish boundaries and common sense were gifts for our future.

When I was staying with someone with children she had a book that was really good for her (plus me, though I'm usually even tempered, quiet - since there were children everywhere, especially a 5 year old, a 3 year old around me a lot) called Raising Your Children Without Raising Your Voice (I might have the title slightly incorrect, I'm not sure), by Sarah Chana Radcliff (not sure of the spelling, but you'd find it). It was so helpful. There wasn't any yelling (by me or the adults, at least), and the children are still well behaved, also a lot of fun.

I'm part of what they call the Xennial generation born around '76 - '83. It's a mix of Gen X and Millenial (even tho they say Millenials are in their late 30s now - we are NOT Millenials). It's gonna be a whole different ball game when I have kids because I cannot imagine dealing with devices and all of that stuff. Ugh.

Ugh. Kelly. You're like a drill seargent. Lighten up. Dude. You're kids are great. Kelly. Honestly. They're great kids. Smart Beautiful all 3. I promise if you'll just lighten up. You'll see a much better result. Kelly. You can control your food intake. Your work out routine etc. Fine. That's great. You. Look great. Ok. 1 thing you should not OVER control is. Your children.
You'll. Lose. Their. Respect. They will resent you for it. Too. Kelly. I get it. You want to do what's right. What's good for them. I understand. That.
But I promise you. You also need to let them. Breathe . Some. Lol 😆. I. Was. That. Parent. Once. J.s. Take. Care.
