I love how the color choice for each box set represents the Force. The Prequel Trilogy uses Red, to symbolize the Dark Side. The Original Trilogy uses Blue, to symbolize the Light Side. While the Sequel Trilogy uses Yellow, to symbolize the balance of the force.
Anyone know if they'll eventually release the original and prequel trilogies in 4K in the UK? I don't want the Disney trilogy to grace my shelves so will not buy the Skywalker Saga.
Sadly my 2020 box set has scratched a bonus features disc and some of the content is no longer playing, which really sucks. I was considering getting the 2020 Blu Ray only box set, but at only about 10,00€ higher cost, I will probably buy these instead. Love the artwork and sturdy material. I have yet to upgrade to 4K, but did get the big set in 2020, well, because it’s Star Wars and this is pretty much my favorite film series and multimedia franchise of all time. Thank you for this insightful unboxing! Good camera setup, clear view of everything, informative commentary. Thank you! 🙏
Side note: My favorite Star Wars film (and maybe my favorite film period) is Revenge of the Sith. And I also love The Last Jedi. I really like all of them and am flabbergasted at the effort so many people put into complaining about these films, usually with little or no intelligent or even relevant arguments.
Totally worth it. Amazing boxart! The 4K version of these boxes are only available in certain countries. Sadly not in the Netherlands were I live (we would have the english versions in that case). So I got the Italian versions which were the only language I could find them in. Actually feels kinda nice and exclusive. Really gives that feeling of having something rare.
@tjeerdtrekkie1030 I am thinking about getting the Italian version from eBay that you have--for the Prequels only--since I have the Originals and Sequels in 4k as a set from the UK/Australia and can't find the Prequels in that set to match. Can you switch the menus/film language to English easily?
@@i_n_c_r_y_p_t_o Yup. It selects English automaticly if your player is set to that language. So menu's/spoken language are all set from the moment you put the disc in
Question: Do the prequel and original trilogies have the 20th Century Fox logo and fanfare at the beginning? I heard some of the newer releases did, but I wasn't sure.
They look beautiful, so much more than the complete saga box set, but what are there sizes? Each box sets takes the place of 2 or 3 regular Blu Rays or is it bigger or smaller? With time, I'm losing a LOT of place on my shelfs, so if I have a to wait for a new packaging in years to come with each trilogy on normal 13mm plastic case, I'll wait. I've already rebuy a new edition and then sold the previous one for some movies due to this small issue.
Can anyone here tell me if there is any difference in the Blu-ray discs from the 2020 release of the individual films or is it JUST the packaging? Thanks.
@@rickadams Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I was considering buying a set of the 2020 individual blu-rays that I have seen on sale price recently and I am not worried about the new packaging.
@@stevenwheeler3382 The 2020 version does not have the blue tint added. The 2020 original trilogy have the accurate colors to how they looked in the cinema but with the cgi or changed scenes including the "maclunkey" one. It should be the same as the ones you can see on Disney+ if recall it correctly. Watch 2011 vs 2020 comparisons of the movies on youtube if you want to see the differences.
@@tvguy61 Hello! It was a long ago that I looked up Blu-ray's for Star wars. But from looking at my previous comment the newest versions were from 2020. If you already own the any of them and are unsure which version you own, it's printed on the disc itself. It should either say 2020 or 2011. Since these box sets shown in the video are from 2022 it should be the latest 2020 versions. I own individual releases of 2020 discs for the OT and PT but the artwork for their cases are a black background with a smaller rectangle in the middle showing poster for the movie.
Is this version of the original trilogy colour corrected in the same way as the Disney Plus versions? I know there are 4K-versions with the new colour correction, but is this version (regular blu ray) corrected aswell? Or does the original trilogy still have weird colour tints? Also, parts of ROTJ was out of focus in earlier blu ray versions, which they fixed on Disney Plus. Thanks!
I had forgotten they made the 3D for Ep. I. I really wanted to watch Ep. II Jango vs Obi-Wan scene in 3D. Too bad it got cancelled. Hahaha. I think THE LAST JEDI is both the best and worst movie of the Sequels. Hahahaha. It's my fav from that bunch.
Are the bonus features in the 2020/2022 Blu-rays exactly the same as those in the 2011/2015 ones? Because I already own the 2015 Complete Saga box set and I'm thinking about buying the new sets.
Are you sure about that? because I am very curious that if I bought these two I won't end up having a dud disk and my Blu-ray/DVD player is in Region 1.
Do you know when or whether they'll give the UK individual trilogy releases in 4K? I don't want the Disney trilogy gracing my shelves so I'm not buying the 4K Skywalker Saga which is the only 4K option available in the UK bar buying each film individually. I think they used yellow to symbolize the color of piss
Yellow simbolizes beer because Lucas was fk drunk when he sold star wars to Disney.
They are all great sets really nice artwork lovely I'm getting the sequel trilogy boxset
I have always loved Star Wars and I recently got back into it by watching the new Disney series and this is a must buy
These box sets are beautiful, although I wish they had a 4K option here in the UK.
Yes, why did France get 4K versions? I can only assume Amazon UK still have a warehouse full of the Skywalker Saga 4K they can’t shift.
Australia does as 4K disc edition only. I got myself the OG Trilogy from JBHI FI and got it posted to the UK

@EvsEntps honestly I don't see Disney doing it any time soon
@@samuelkhan99yeah shame JBHI FI no longer post to UK cuz of the Brexit bollocks
I can't believe there is no Count Dooku art work on these...
I’ve got the same opinions. Phantom Menace, Return of the Jedi, and The Last Jedi are my favourites from each trilogy. These sets look exciting!
These are beautiful, i need them. I hope they're still available
The original trilogy looks superb. May pick one up!
Great looking box sets, with fabulous artwork. 😊👍
Thank you for that preview! I would love to have these editions!
You also have really nice hands and a great voice 😊
Yep, defo grabbing these.
Glad to see I'm not alone in enjoying the Last Jedi the most out of the sequel trilogy :)
thanks for sharing, the art on these is way nicer than the box set. and our favorites are the same!
I got the 4K versions here in Australia and these on blu ray recently and I found the complete skywalker saga better

The width is about the same as 2 standard blu-ray cases :)
Are this the Disney special editions where they changed certain scenes. Or it's the same footage as the 2011 special edition.
Thanks!
Nice sets
I looove all 9 together!!! ❤❤❤

Are they the same extras as in the Skywalker Saga box?
Yes to my knowledge there is no difference as the copyright dates on the discs haven't changed therefore I presume the content is the same.

I don't know if the DVDs have extra features on a lot of Disney DVDs don't
Anyone know if the French version is the VFF or VFQ version ?? thx
Will these play on US blu-ray players??
Yes...they are region free...they show regions A,B,&C on back of each set. I purchased them thru Amazon.
