    It's the Baghdad battery in a plastic bottle. This is ancient lost technology from over 2000 years ago. Easily researchable and proven yet excluded from all hypothesis of ancient society. We are still lead to believe the ancients are banging rocks together and had no clue of technology. Lol. Thanks so much for making this video

    Morning, morning, mind fresh....
    Thanks sir...
    I like all of your videos...
    At the end U should connect a red led to the battery... So the video would be more interesting....
    Finally sorry for my poor English..
    Thank you once again...

    Just curious - How long until the voltage eventually dissipates?

    I made a TREMENDOUS BATTERY with pure water.
    CONCRETE galvanized steel + CONCRETE stainless steel rod.
    Concrete is slowing down "galvanized" oxidation.
    Add COTTON to improve "capacitancy".
    One so tiny cells w:7mm x l:13mm x h:5mm yields 1+ VOLTS.
    Put them in PARALEL circuits, boost amperages.
    Just TAP WATER, no need electro lite, but you can add instead.
    The IDEA is water as source of energy.
    Electricity remains as long as water exists and
    galvanized steel is still working well.
    All types of water may also works including URINE.

    Series = more voltage.
    Parallel = more current.
    The energy is the same, is just the rate between volt
    and amps that changes if you go from parallel so series.
    So 2 batteries of this kind will in my theory give the same short circuit current in series, but be double in voltage.
    However... if you did connect them in parallel, the voltage would be 1,36, but the short circuit current higher.

    Ive created the solid state version of the magnesium copper battery.. i wasnt too impressed though. Im sure you got better results using the electrolyte.

    Vinegar is ok for aluminum, but with magnesium it reacts vigerously making jydrogen. If you want to use it make a solution of sodium acetate. For the best operation fill the copper pipe with a mixture of MnO2, CuO and graphite. You can substitute rust for MnO2 if you want to. Use oxides of s metal less reactive than hydrogen for best results. A battery with an anode rod that big should give a few amps of current easily.

    Love the construction! A small problem around 4'01, the narration about previous two batteries with salt-water electrolyte "in series"; they must be "in parallel".

    • @ludicscience
      @ludicscience  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, in the previous video i used to cells in series not parallel

    • @YuanLiuTheDoc

      If the two are in series, short-circuit current for a single cell would be the same as that with two cells. No?

      @@ludicscience You are wrong, connecting two or more batteries in series it will increase overall voltage, it doesn't affect current. Connecting them in parallel it will reduce internal resistance and it will increase overall current ( Ah capacity). So that being said in your previous video if you had put them in parallel you'd had around 1A at 1.3V.

    This is less that one watt of power. Not very useful but it looked like a fun project. Someone suggested you hook up an LED to demo it. Many LED's of any size will require over 1.3 volts, because they have a barrier voltage slightly higher than that. LEDs also require careful control of the current, as they won't limit the current after the barrier voltage is exceeded.

    Bro, getting 0,5 Amps from two batteries connected in series means that each of them is giving you 0,5 A, not 0,25 A. So not a big improvement in amperage from 0,5 to 0,6 Amps in favor of the vinegar electrolyte. Let's also consider which electrolyte is less aggressive for metals used in cells. However great video, thank you.

    I have been thinking about making something like nickel iron batteries in 5gallon buckets, just curious if Steel sheet can be used, with nickel or maybe another metal, maybe it would work better, use a 20-22 gauge steel and use a plastic screen mesh, or possibly a thin fiberglass between , then roll them up, possibly pot the very bottom with wax, about 1/4" deep in the bottom of the bucket, keeping about 1/16" gap between the anode and cathode, connected to 1" x. 1/8" copper bar, connected to the mid points and possibly both ends of the anode and cathode, it should be capable of 400amps +/-, and 800amps for a few seconds, a 5gallon bucket will make a large battery, if it were 2k ah would be great, connected to a 50 gallon drum of distilled water, to keep the wet, 2k ah battery bank would run my off grid house,

    Excellent presentation of higher out put voltage and current, with Copper tube, Magnesium Rod, electrolyte as Synthetic Venegar, One confusing thing, Vinegar directly can be used or diluted with water, pls clarify, its a much appealing project I want to do it in my house, pls ELECTROLYTE. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

    Wouldnt the salt and vinegar get converted to hydrochloric acid eventually? Why not just use a watered down solution of muriatic acid?

    Neat innovation but Magnesium is real tough metal to recycle & purify for repeated battery use.
