becoz our space is expanding ( stretching ) into itself since the bigbang and distance blw galaxies are increasing ( not moving each other apart , the space blw them is making them apart ) and expansion of our universe is accelerating , thats why even though 13.8 byo , diameter of our universe is 93 billion yo ..

Why you are comparing distance with time
Bro here universe age is calculated by using the speed of galaxies, at how much speed they are moving ,,, if we reverse engineer or past engeneer the speed it will meet a point of time it is at 13.5 or close to 13.5 billion years ,,,,, first take speed and time of galaxies movement at present point , now reverse the speed with time it will go to past and meet at one point , that point is universe age

Trick use to find all valencies of an element .how electrons are filled in s,p,d,f orbitals.books to read about how to find out all valencies of all elements.select one element with bigger atomic number like silicon show 3D image of how electron will be in each orbitals .even show how orbitals will be after another orbitals .like if silicon is their it's atomic number is 14 so it's orbitals are 1s with 2 electrons
2s with 2 electrons ,2p with 6 electrons
So after 2s comes with 2p. so is 2p edges are outside 2s orbital or on Edges of 2s sphere or outside 2s sphere .
Next come 3s .is 3s far from 2p .show all 3D orbitals of silicon like 1s
