Nuneka thanks dear! Photoshop is super useful! And you don’t even have to use photoshop, there are quite a lot of free apps out there as well. You can also use a photo and an eye dropper tool to create color palettes for craft and mixed media projects 😄

Haha yes, I like to keep myself busy 😂 I always like to have all the information I can find about something before diving in, with everything that I do. I'm the typical sponge person, who always has the weirdest facts ready, coming from dusty places somewhere in my brain 😂 It's the same with these portraits, I need to do a study before I can paint the portrait ☺

I approach my pet or animal portraits very similar using graphite tracing paper for basic line work, then acrylic underpainting with color pencil detailing, but i really like how you used photoshop to help identify more subtle palette colors in areas

debby epps sounds like a cool technique! I’m planning on experimenting with colored pencil and pastel and probably want to try some oil painting to but that’s a ten year plan as I like to call it 🤣

Yes, I have several final projects posted on my Instagram @debbyeppsart and there are a few older videos of pet portraits on my channel: Debbyepps I often record the underpainting part but not the color pencil work is difficult to record without blocking the camera
