The grass, pinfish and etc is all a part of fishing lol. Glad you included it. Enjoy your videos. I’d enjoy sometime a kayak vid in the lagoon itself. Used to live on the lagoon years ago and fished it a lot.
I’ll definitely hit the Lagoon in the kayak in the next couple weeks to see if I can stir something up in there. If there isn’t a video of the lagoon you know I didn’t do any good hahahaha
Freshwater license is required for Lake Shelby because it is considered a freshwater lake but if you want to keep any of the saltwater species that get in the lake you will need a saltwater license as well.
Im going out there this weekend. Looking forwaed to it!
Im a little late but hope you had a good time!
@@G2COASTAL yeah it wasn't bad. A few good catches but nothing great.

Are there largemouth in that lake? I figured it was completely freshwater since it is landlocked?
Beautiful red! I remember getting a few dozen shrimp and catching reds with my dad in those lagoon channels. Really good times
Nice Bluegills. Still blows my mind that you can catch reds and pinfish in the same body of water as bluegill and large mouth
Yeah its pretty wild!
Alligators never mess with you?
Nah Im not worried about them but I do watch for them.
Dang those are some solid bluegills!!! They'd definitely get rolled in shore lunch fish fry n dunked in oil!!
Heck yeah they are getting an oil bath!
What type of fishing license is required to fish the lake? Fresh, salt, or both. I'll be coming there next week from Louisiana. Thanks

@@G2COASTAL good deal! Thks for the info
@@dropshotscott4762 you’re more than welcome.
Hey where did you launch from if I may ask?
By the boat ramp but in the grass so I didn’t have to put my kayak down in the gravel or concrete.
@@G2COASTAL which boat ramp?
@@fisheyeguy there is only the one ramp as far as I know.
