Van Halen - Drop Dead Legs (Drum Cover)

This comes off the "1984" album. It sounds like Alex overdubbed some extra hi hat and ride cymbal tracks in the studio for this song, so I was able to layer extra samples onto the various pads to trigger multiple sounds simultaneously. Plus I got to use the cool flanger filter in Audacity for the fill before the second verse!!

Mike you are the real deal. I just played this video side by side with the VH 2015 Remastered and beat for beat, you nailed it. I'm 63 yo and I grew up going to bars in Pasadena to watch VH play. Also was a drummer for a little copy band back in the day. You've inspired me to set up a music room and get back into it for some fun. Currently shopping for my first electronic drum set.
