@@brockhenderson686 fun fact: I was at a NJ Indy show back in the early 2000s. This was after Yokozuna had passed. Big Dick Dudley was a special guest that night. I was guest bell ringer that night as well. He did a 10 bell salute for Yokozuna and after the show I was his bodyguard as he showered.
I remember too. The episode felt non-cannon because Del Rio had just turned face but was heel here for one show just for this 1 show storyline. Also Mick Foley played Santa but I don't think they ever acknowledged it on air.
I specifically remember the Hornswoggle winning the battle royale for a win from Santa. Because Sheamus did all the work and then Swoggle eliminated Sheamus when they were goofing off having a fun time. Sheamus played a protector role to Hornswoggle similar to Fit Finlay. Unfortunately I couldn’t remember the wish though.
Hey guys, i had a lot of fun writing this quiz. I went back and watched more holiday episodes of Raw and Smackdown than i care to admit. A few notes i did want to add. I had a blast coming up with the Hogan questions and personally think Leg Drop the Elf is a way better gimmick brother. The Santa that won the 24/7 title was not a wrestler but just Santa. We never saw his true identity. I had about 6 questions about wretslers playing in movies but didnt want to make this only about wrestling movie questions so i took out all but 1. I hope you guys had fun with this and it wasnt too hard. Merry Christmas and I love making these for you guys.
Carlito *did* debut in 2004, where he took the US title off Cena *in* Boston. Then his kayfabe bodyguard Jesús stabbed Cena offscreen and that was used to write him off so that he could go shoot the Marine. Cena took the title back soon as he returned, but again got attacked by Jesús to continue the feud. So Cena defended the US title against Jesús at Armageddon 2004 and that was where the spinner US championship belt made its big debut. Carlito was the bodyguard's manager for that match
Hornswoggle was making his typical grunts and Santa was "interpreting" rhyming words - Hornswoggle wanted to talk, so Santa thought he wanted a celery stalk, the writings of Jonas Salk, movies with Peter Faulk, etc. Sheamus finally clued Santa in that he wanted to talk. Hornswoggle hugged Santa and gained the ability to talk...and then immediately called Vickie Guerrero "Grandma".
I forget how young you guys are sometimes. Mikey Whipwreck was a roadie that became a champ in ECW, Brian Lee was Killdozer in ECW as well as the fake Undertaker in WWE, and Big Dick Dudley was the OG of the Dudleys, he fathered Bubba Ray, D-von, Spike, Snot and Dances with Dudley, as well as like 30 other children.
Big Dick Dudley wasn’t the OG of the Dudley’s he was in the sense that he was an original member but he wasn’t their dad. Their dad was never onscreen but was called Big Daddy Dudley, and the first Dudley was Dudley Dudley
Big Dick Dudley was the Original dudley yes, but I thought they were all the other dudleys were part of the family. I want to say they were fathered by Big Daddy Dudley. Brian Lee was also Takers best man in Calloways wedding with Sara.
@@wouwolf No you’re correct! There were several other Dudley’s the original being Dudley Dudley then Big Dick Dudley then Snot Dudley, Dances With Dudley, etc. all fathered by Big Daddy Dudley with all different mothers. I was correcting the OP of this comment who said Big Dick Dudley was the dad when he wasn’t he was another brother.
Fun Fact about the Wager question: JBL was in a Fatal Four Way Match for his title, which included Eddie Guerrero, Booker T and the Undertaker. Kane was on Raw and dealing with Gene Snitsky. This match happened on a Smackdown event. Carlito had made his debut already, but was feuding with John Cena. That leaves Kurt Angle, who challenged Santa to his Kurt Angle Invitational, where anyone who beats Kurt wins his medals.
The groan from Dante on “Tribute to the Troops” made me realise how Young these guys are. That was a hard question because they were probably toddlers during attitude era lol
That quiz was decently hard and i was tied with John the whole quiz, but I scored big on the wager. I remembered the match between Kurt and Santa, so I'm glad I had wagered half my points. My scored 39
I see many have mentioned the Brian Lee facts but one my favorite Brian Lee moments came from ECW when he took the fall from the scaffolding through a bunch of tables. One the coolest looking bumps ever. A second cool moment of wrestling history is Eddie Gilbert hitting Jerry Lawler with a car in Memphis on live TV. They borrowed Brian Lee’s rental and doing the thing broke out the windshield. Eddie and Doug were so worried he would be pissed they took it to car wash to clean all the glass out and there the attendant comes out tells them the cops are at the studio looking for them. Since it was live and Memphis fans believed than called the local police told them Eddie tried to kill Lawler and they showed up to studio live. Eddie goes back and was willing to go to jail. One greatest moments ever.
@@anthonywrasslinI knew Bryan Adams was good friends with Taker (too many big men with long hair named Brian/Bryan in this era). Adams, Lee and the Harris brothers were also DOA in WWE
'Xanta Klaus' question: The 'X' is pronounced like Santa, but with a 'Z' sound. He was supposed to be Santa Claus' evil brother from the South Pole, rather than the North Pole (plus somehow having a differently spelled last name, at that, which made no sense). Additionally, every one of those characters existed, including 'Big Dick Dudley' of the original ECW Dudley faction. Same goes for Mikey Whipwreck & Balls Mahoney, both of whom were also renowned ECW roster members, with the latter playing the role of the character in question during that particular short stint of a WWF tenure. As for Brian Lee, he was brought in from Jim Cornette's Smoky Mountain Wrestling organization. Lee's initial WWF run was as the 'Under-Faker' (aka 'Fake Undertaker' or 'Impostor Undertaker', also real life good friend of actual 'Undertaker', Mark Calaway) in 1994, specifically at Summer Slam. If I recollect correctly, 'Taker & Lee had some matches in SMW whenever Vince McMahon would periodically loan talent to Cornette (who himself was pulling double duty, as he was also working for the WWF at the time, too) for some of SMW's shows, especially the bigger cards. Lee was later known as 'Chainz' in the 'Disciples Of Apocalypse' biker stable alongside the Harris twin brothers (Ron & Don), 'Skull' & '8 Ball', plus leader 'Crush' (real name Brian Adams, as he eventually went by in WCW, much like many aplenty other wrestlers who jumped ship during the late 1990s). 'Crush' was much better as the other versions of his character, such as 'Kona Crush' (billed from Kona, Hawai'i), heel 'Evil Crush' (aligned with manager Mr./Master Fuji, Yokozuna & 'American Spokesperson' Jim Cornette), and probably best of all as the third member addition to the 1990 heel version of 'Demolition' alongside 'Ax' (Bill Eadie) & 'Smash' (Barry Darsow). One more randomrelated note & minor/minute/minuscule caveat: The original 'Smash' that debuted in 1987 was initially portrayed by Randy Colley aka 'Moondog Rex'.

How can you not remember the Mick Foley moment where he was dressed as Santa and Hornswoggle came in and asked for his voice. When he spoke the crowd went NUTS 😂
