I Surrender All is one of those great hymns that is known well beyond the walls of any church. If you’re like me, you’ve waved the white flag of surrender in desperate hours when life has gotten out of control. In those moments we welcome the help and the will of the Heavenly Father. When I put together Hymnal, I wrote the Interlude: Wrestling with God because, in my experience, surrender is alway preceded by a struggle. Be it mental or physical, something happens that brings us to the point of letting go. I hope this song brings you as much hope as it has me through whatever darkness you may be facing and into the light that shines ahead!

This was exactly what I needed to hear today! I was moved to tears. ❤ Many of us here in Texas, and throughout the nation, have been wrestling this week. It has not only been the physical and mental struggles due to weather events, but also emotional and spiritual battles. As long as we stay close to Him - and love Him - EVERYTHING will work together for good! I pray there will be even more white flags waving as We Surrender All to our Heavenly Father!

This old hymn was the first gospel hymn I heard in U.S when I immigrated from Korea as married a American .
I was suffering from cultural shock and deep postpartum depression many years and finally I surrender all when the Holy Spirit convicted my spirit in late 80s and found David Phelps music from Gaither .
David Phelps is the best singer in the planet .
I pray for him that God will use him for this generation for his purpose , not only in U.S but all over the world .

You are absolutely right about David being the best singer in the planet cause one of homeless man I was helping to get his disability claim surrendered God two months before he was having a from heart attack at aged of 57 .
He heard David’s song in my car and started to crying and said he needed repent . I bought him a Bible and I heard from other homeless people that he was reading his Bible all the time even at the street light at night .
This is the one of reason I pray for David that God use him for this uncertain generation .
He died at aged of 57 from longtime use of drugs but I have no doubt that God of mercy and compassion saved his soul .

I have your CD hymnal along with so many others that I have. I listen to them when I go for drives in the car! Your voice is the one I listen to almost daily. It is almost always a part of my day! Everything you sing and your piano are always uplifting! David Phelps the best voice ever!

I had to double check to see if I had written this, of course I did not BUT I could have as David's music has seen me through tough times with the loss of my husband of 66 1/2years. Someone once told me that as Christians we should listen to Christian music. I was shocked because there is so many great classics like Mozart and all the great classical composers whose names are hard to spell. With a little bit of study I found that they were written to bring praise the our Heavenly Father. Now as I near my eighth decade I listen to CHURCH 🎶 music. It feeds my soul. I want to hear these great songs over and over.
