USA vs Brazil gon be a fire match if it was possible tho fr
First
I know there would be a lot of problems and difficulties, but I hope one day both confederations can merge
This should definitely be a permanent decision, more revenue for South America, more competition for North America, it's a win-win!
If you look at it, it will surely be more competitive with a relevant tournament format but you've got to feel for those other 35 north american sides who'll be missing from the tournament. I hope that there's no change in the original north american continental championship.
Fiago always coming in with the facts 💯
Absolutely. I been saying it for years and years. It worked amazing in the centennial event. Not sure why they didn’t keep going after that. But finally they will.
As you say it’s great I’m so many ways.
Im definitely going to some of these games.
About time! This feels like a great combination. South America can finally have enough slots to fill for a stong exciting tournament and countries like the USA and Mexico can test their mettle against top tier opponents, which is necessary if they want to finally get beyond the round of 16 in the World Cup (the Netherlands vs USA game really highlighted how facing too much weak opposition turned the US very wasteful)
This is a change that actually makes sense and will improve the tournament and the teams
North and South America are one continent, by definition, by geography, almost every country in north and South America speaks A Latin based language like Spanish, Portuguese or French as either a first or second language, in every way we are one continent. It makes sense for us to be one Football confederation. It will probably help the game grow in places like Canada and the US, and help teams like Mexico get better than they already are.
No Hate just want to point out that The reason they are different continents is because of plate boundaries and they have culturally very different .
@@RDP921 i did not know about the plate thing thank you.
@@RDP921in other countries where they speak Spanish they dispute North and South America are separate. Different theories but in the American context ie NA- we say 7. Thanks to UK
@@RDP921if plates mattered, Europe and Asia wouldnt be two continents. North and South America were territorially continuous until they fabricated the Panama channel. The separation of continents in North and South terms were a thing US did in 50s for political reasons, not geography.
Only anglophone countries think there are two americas. They can think the shit they want, what bother me is to see my fellas from the rest of America buying their crazy opinion.
Seems like a good move. A Copa America with South and North American continent representation feels more complete.
Only America 🌎1492
The old-modern format of 12 teams, the 2 best 3rd placed teams progressing, was great. If not, use Swiss format of just the 10 nations to eliminate the bottom 2 and go straight to KO’s
Its good when the biggist tournounemest is gonna be in your country❤️👍
I've literally always wanted this!
Having all the sports infrastructure that one could ever ask for in one country definitely helps too.
Tbh I always thought the Copa America was North and South America haha, seems the logic finally went into it
North America has the media and South America has the talents to provide an interesting and competitive tournament that can probably match the European football
Exactly 👍
Well, yeah... that's the marketing reason of why the cup will be hosted in the US, the actual reason of it is because the cup was actually set to be hosted in Ecuador, but due to economical and financial reasons, they declined it. Something that happened with the past Copa América also which was set to be hosted in Argentina and Colombia
Also the Messi move to MLS is just a taste test for new football fans from the US. This is some great strategy
They literally turned the Gold Cup into a fancy qualifiers for Copa America
Yes, something that makes sense and benefits football, we need more incredible decisions like this 👏
The logic for CONCACAAF is similar to why Australia left the OFC and joined the AFC.
How the hell do you deliver so much precise information in such a brief period of time ? Deutsch on point. You rock bro.
Great video!
So much info in just 1 min 😮
Copa America centenario 2016 was awesome. Can’t wait for next year
Finally the merge that will make the competition more exciting
Well, I got some Copa America 2016 flashbacks 😅
I live in the US and my home city will be hosting a few matches, I will definitely be going! This is a huge opportunity for the US to prove their capabilities to host and for South American nations to expand their market.
Bring it on!!!
Will be watching 🔥
Fiago, seguí usando la camiseta de Belgrano, cuanto peor les vaya mejor, gracias por la mufa! Abz.
That’s gonna be so exciting
I’m from Argentina, I had this idea ages ago. Finally!!
Really? How's does the addition of crap Gold Cup teams improve things for Argentina? None of them would be contenders...😂
@@mellowado6184 Its actually a great idea. Just mad because you hate America.
Conmebol: we have the prestige and you have the money.
Concacaf: keep the prestige, but I do want more money so let’s do it
Finally a great decision to make copa america from both continents
The best copa I've ever seen was in 2016, hopefully 2024 can surpass it.
Boring honestly. The NA teams got thrashed in KO stages. The KO stages were boring.
@@samizayn5666 I get the US lost 4-0 and Mexico lost 7-0 lol, but honestly there were some fantastic matches like Colombia v Peru, Chile v Colombia, and that final was cagey and spectacular to watch, kept me on the edge of my seat. 2016 was more lively than other copa America I felt, only 2007 rivals it for me, but the final wasn't as good.
@@samizayn5666what did you expect? they were trash
@@andresospina6596 At the time, yes. They have developed positively.
@@RealBlockbit México is worse than they were, Canada has improved but not enough to fight for the title and USA has improved a lot but still I don think that they can win it. USA is the best from those 3 by far and I'm pretty sure that they will make a good participation on the tournament since they are good and many Conmebol nations are not at their best.
