Thank you so much! I was just thinking about what I might do next year for Bookukkah--but of course I won't make any real plans until next winter. I'm always happy to see you in my comments and am thrilled you've been a part of my year! Here's to a happy 2025!
Magnificent video, Hannah. You've moved me to tears many times this holiday season, and especially today. Sending you much love and wishing you all that is good in 2025.
Lovely video Hannah. Glad you were able to spend new year's eve well with friends and loved ones. I really enjoyed the shots of the botanic gardens! I'll have to go to that one someday.
The trains used to be indoors--but now they are in the outdoor garden, which was just wonderful on the sunny day when we went. My son Abe used to be obsessed with model trains--and that is how the museum display became such a part of our lives all those years ago!
David loved applesauce on his latkes, but I was always a sour cream (and lots of black pepper!) kind of person. At some point I added hot sauce to the table. And now salsa may be a recurring thing!
Dear Hannah! You inspire us all with your intelligence, insights, and compassion. Wishing you all the best in 2025. Greetings from San Diego! 🌹🌷💐🌻✌️☮️🍾🥂⚡️
Thank you so much, Brady, for this comment and for all your participation on this channel--as well as for your generous support. It is always such a joy to see a comment from you! Happy New Year!
This has been a wonderful experience following you through these videos during the Hanukkah season. Today's video allowed me to see the sites in DC that I may never get to see. Thanks for taking the time to share this with us. A. I look forward to spending time watching your videos in the coming year as I know it's a place of comfort and learning for me. Thank you again, Hannah❤
Oooh, I am so glad you read 84 Charing Cross Road! I didn't this year, but it has been on my mind a lot. Perhaps I'll watch the film version during the snowstorm tomorrow!
I thought of you while Abe and I were downtown--partly because I took him to see the Hirshhorn to see the same exhibit we saw. I knew he would love the fusing of music and sound with public art. He was blown away by it! We also stopped in at the tiny Banksy/Basquiat exhibit--which we liked but almost found disappointing after Osgemeos.
Your talking about the New Year’s get togethers felt very poignant - and I feel the same about the BookTube community. I’d like to see those miniatures, but the odds are probably against it, so thank you for the clog. Happy New Year.
Hi Hannah! Thank you for your videos, I really enjoy them a lot and always find new books to read based on your suggestions. I wanted to ask you: would you consider making a video about David’s favorite books? Or books he enjoyed most? I’ve listened to a podcast episode with him and was very impressed and inspired by his personality and the strength of his character! I’d love to watch a video where you talk about his favorite reads. Thank you for your work on this channel! ❤
That is a really beautiful idea and I would love to do that sometime in the future. I'm honored that you've listened to his interview! David was a guest on my channel a couple of times--at least one time talking specifically about some of his favorite books, I think. I can't leave links here on youtube, I don't think, but if you like, I am happy to look up the video titles so you can search for them. Yes?
If you search for my channel name and "David's version of the Literary Dinner Party Tag" or "Books with Friends Tag (original)" you should come across a couple of them. The latter was made in the early days of my channel and I was extremely nervous!
Bookukkah is becoming a tradition I look forward to watching every year. Can't wait to see how the year unfolds.

Lovely video Hannah. Glad you were able to spend new year's eve well with friends and loved ones. I really enjoyed the shots of the botanic gardens! I'll have to go to that one someday.
I would love to see you in person sometime--either here in DC where I could take you to see the sights, or perhaps in Maine!
This was lovely in so many ways. Thank you for Bookukkah!
It is always such a joy to see you here, around booktube, and elsewhere! Thank you so much for being part of his bookish community.

I’ve not been to DC but this makes it so tempting. Happy reading in 2025! 🎉
@@Raereadswithgrace Happy reading to you, too! DC is a great city to visit-with so many free museums of so many types!
Lovely. Happy New Year, Hannah.

@@HannahsBooks sounds like a perfect activity for a snowstorm. I love the film Hopkins restreint and Bancrofts exuberance.

I loved this "return trip" to DC 😊. Your celebration looked and sounded wonderful as well. Happy New Year!

That was enjoyable, thank you.
Thank you so much, Michael!
Such lovely pics Hannah, I have yet to make my way to the Botanic Gardens even though I plan to every holiday season.
It is a lovely spot, especially during the holidays!
