I am a musician, age 65, and my hearing started at 18 Hz and the tone in my left ear already stopped unfortunately at 4.000 Hz and my right ear at 9.200Hz😫. I have a ”Violet sound” tinnitus because too much loud music through the years! I can still hear the birds singing and that is nice! Take care out there👍🙂🎷💚!!
the same applies to high end, not talking about audio compression usually cut off low and high frequencies Opus is still lossy compression, so I would expect some kind of both hi- and lo-cut.
For the first half, I started hearing it at approximately 180hz until 1400hz. At the end, again I heard all of it up until about 14000 hz. I’m 32 and I already know my hearing isn’t the best based on doctors testing me. 😅
okay, my headphones started vibrating and I got scared there is a storm or something and I quickly paused the video and it turns out it was just the sound xp
I'm 26, and I can hear the 20000 hz sound, but barely and with my headphones at max volume. I can tell with my eyes closed when all the noise stops, but if no one asked me "can you hear that?" I don't think I would notice anything 😅
@Genuine Sorin actually you may find some headphones even cut off at 20khz so it may not be your ears at all. At your age you can have a free hearing test to determine any issues. I am glad your looking out for yourself physically and make time for your well being in mind too.
Nobody has tinnitus, to prove this go under water in a pool then no tinnitus why, because what you here is 5G cell tower radiation. You may be in the shower with the walls all wet and your body all wet then put a very wet towel over you head and it can be super quite.

DJ. Wore earplugs from Day 1. Age 18. I am 62. I can hear up to 13,500 or "under 40" If you love music, and you want to hear it at age 70, wear earplugs at age 15 and up. It worked for me. Get a jar of them and wear them to each show set and rave.
This is really handy and reliable to test hearing. Whenever I have a newborn child, if I don’t see a reaction at around 20,000Hz, I immediately return it and try again. If it isn’t working 100% from the manufacturer, I return it and get another one. You’d be surprised how many defective babies they’ve tried to give me. NOTE - Make sure your equipment is functional. Took me 3 babies before realizing I was using the wrong headphones.
Before you see a doctor, this is NOT accurate: TH-cam does not play High Quality audio, even on the highest video resolution. Audio formats - AAC (wrapped in an MP4 container) or Opus in a WebM container. Maximum audio bitrate of around 126 kbps and at that low bitrate any frequencies above 15khz (approx) are compressed and lost.
I am 75 years old, my results are amazing! I ran 7 different tests one of them with the National Hearing Centre Australia, and I could hear chirping even at 18000 Hz. and a whisper at 20000 Hz. I am stunned!

@@mindyourownbusiness4608I feel for you, my friend! I am now 65, but when I was 20, I went to a Neil Diamond concert at Hilton Coliseum in Iowa. At the end of the concert, they dropped a HUGE American flag and had fireworks...INSIDE!! There were, of course, a few that failed and gave that huge "boom!". When we left, my ears were "ringing" (like what you describe) and they never got better. It is AWFUL! My hardest time is at night when I am trying to go to sleep. Many, MANY times I think I hear birds, water running, my neighbors riding mower, etc. Many times I have got up and gone outside my back door trying to find what I am hearing. I often describe it as a hissing sound...the kind you can make with your mouth, pushing air through your teeth. I have tried literally everything to find relief. I hate it. Even if I plug my ears with my fingers, I still have all this noise!! IF this just happened to you, out of the blue, see an ear doctor as soon as you can. Sometimes, though it may be that you have a head cold and your sinuses could be clogged. Get your ears to "pop" of you can. You know, hold your nose and blow gently. That is what a doctor had me do to see if it would help. Also, try an antihistamine. Just suggestions as I have dealt with this now for 45 years. Good luck! Hope you are OK!
Yeah i heard it too. But it also sounds like that’s when something has started playing rather than a gradual sound. If you get me? As it sounds like someone has pressed play at 16hz not a gradual sound
Me too I started hearing at 16hz and around 20hz the sound gradually got a little clearer Around 100hz I felt the sound was too loud for my ears also I’m a 27yrs old guitarist
Same! I could hear that deep sound around the 16 to 20 hz range, and I couldn’t hear anything past 16000 Hz. I’m a former bass player and singer/screamer in a metal band. I always wore protective ear plugs/in ears for our practices and shows.
The other day I noticed my hearing wasn't good above 15 k and I got one of those ear wax cleaning kits and removed the ear stones and now I hear everything perfectly :D

DJ.
Wore earplugs from Day 1. Age 18.
I am 62.
I can hear up to 13,500 or "under 40"
If you love music, and you want to hear it at age 70, wear earplugs at age 15 and up.
It worked for me.
Get a jar of them and wear them to each show set and rave.
18,000 and i still can’t hear what my mom wants from me downstairs
age: 21
start: 20hz
end: 20k hz
But what i supposed to hear at 18-20k, just high white noise or? Is that count?
It's probably not 20hz
This is really handy and reliable to test hearing. Whenever I have a newborn child, if I don’t see a reaction at around 20,000Hz, I immediately return it and try again. If it isn’t working 100% from the manufacturer, I return it and get another one. You’d be surprised how many defective babies they’ve tried to give me.
NOTE - Make sure your equipment is functional. Took me 3 babies before realizing I was using the wrong headphones.
Me: Puts speakers on full volume
Also me: *Reality can be whatever I want*
Good idea
*I was more stressed listening to this than for my school exams.*

Dude. For me it STARTS at ~180. It's over.
Before you see a doctor, this is NOT accurate: TH-cam does not play High Quality audio, even on
the highest video resolution. Audio formats - AAC (wrapped in an MP4
container) or Opus in a WebM container. Maximum audio bitrate of around
126 kbps and at that low bitrate any frequencies above
15khz (approx) are compressed and lost.
Cheers
can confirm. I was able to hear 16khz clearly. but as soon as it hit 17khz, dead silence.
I could only hear up to 130000 hz, after that complete silence (not really!) I have tinnitus so it makes sense
Yeah this is more of a test for your headphones/speakers than for your hearing.
Alternative title: how old are your headphones
Plot twist
Bruh😂😂😂😂✌
I had mine since oct 7 2020 lel
How old are your ears:
UhM. As old than me

I am 75 years old, my results are amazing! I ran 7 different tests one of them with the National Hearing Centre Australia, and I could hear chirping even at 18000 Hz. and a whisper at 20000 Hz. I am stunned!
@@RichardVallance Hope you live a nice life grandpa/grandma

As someone with Tinnitus this is actually pretty interesting as I’m hearing one of these numbers constantly
I have tinnitus too, I guess it's somewhere around 9000hz
Started hearing 18hz
Stopped hearing 13000
Strangely, I could hear harmonics up to 15000 or so? Perhaps I need better headphones!

same bruh... i better take earplugs to em concerts next time

I started hearing at 16hz, and it started to drop off (gradually) around 16khz. I'm a 30 year old drummer, so I'm gonna say that's pretty good.
Yeah i heard it too. But it also sounds like that’s when something has started playing rather than a gradual sound. If you get me? As it sounds like someone has pressed play at 16hz not a gradual sound
bro this test is for humans not for cats and dogs......
Me too I started hearing at 16hz and around 20hz the sound gradually got a little clearer
Around 100hz I felt the sound was too loud for my ears
also I’m a 27yrs old guitarist
I couldn’t hear past 7,000khz. I’m a young band director.
Same! I could hear that deep sound around the 16 to 20 hz range, and I couldn’t hear anything past 16000 Hz. I’m a former bass player and singer/screamer in a metal band. I always wore protective ear plugs/in ears for our practices and shows.
Me: **puts sound all the way up**
The other day I noticed my hearing wasn't good above 15 k and I got one of those ear wax cleaning kits and removed the ear stones and now I hear everything perfectly :D
