    I just got the set in gray. It won out over a small hard side since it's so much more portable and ergonomic. We have a Tundra 65 for our hard side. The M30 is very easy to haul onto a vessel and as you mentioned, is much easier for everyone, young and old, to get in and out of. Loading and propping open for cleaning does take some getting used to but it's really not that bad. I usually pinch the sides with my legs either standing or sitting and that works just fine. When I need to prop it open for cleaning I have plenty of things around the house that can do the job.

    Its built so good not overdesigned. So good that I'm not afraid to lend it to family or friends. They cannot mess this thing up.

    Bought this cooler based on your recommendation. Love it so far . . . I pre-chill it for a day prior with 3-4 frozen water bottles. I had ice last a little over 3 days while at the Colorado River in 95-100 degrees temps.
    A Little Tip - I made a small 'opening stick' by cutting a length of 1/2" PVC pipe, and putting a rubber 'crutch-tip' on each end. Just put it across the top when it's open, super easy. I just leave it in the bottom of the M30 . . . super handy when you want to pack ice and food, and also after you're done and you clean it and want to let it air dry.

      Yes! Haha. We do the same with a small scrap of PVC.

    Use the CueroStick to load, unload and dry the Yeti. It can crack a beer also.

    It's a great cooler, we find it to get very heavy when loaded though and looses some convenience because of the weight.

    • @WanderingWeekends
      @WanderingWeekends  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s capacity is what we were looking for. Not much a cooler can do about the weight of drinks and ice. By itself it only weighs 6lbs.

    Thanks for the review. I am in the market and looking for a durable, long lasting soft cooler. Any way that you could show a video of actually putting in a bag of ice with that bar and without? My only hesitation is the life of the magnet with heavy use. I do like that Yeti offers a 3 year warranty on the soft coolers. My little Rtic 8 lasted me a little over three before the lining inside started to peel off. I want something to last me "forever."

      My Yeti was 3 1/2 years old. It had the old zipper design. That was a flawed design, which is why they went away from it and now have the magnet. My cooler was not heavily used (maybe 50 times?), and everything else was perfect. However, it was out of warranty. That being said, I did contact them. Yeti did stand behind their brand and product and replaced it. I am still a yeti fan and still recommend their product!

      @@nickdebeer13 did you actually contact Yeti before leaving a negative comment about their product and getting over on customers just to make a profit? If so did Yeti refuse to make it right? Yeti was fully aware of the zipper failures which is evident by this being a third redesign of this product. They are several TH-cam videos of people contacting Yeti and Yeti has been replacing it for them by sending them the new m30. Yeti doesn’t require receipt or proof of purchase. It seems that their customer service is top notch.

      @@charlesworniv611 Hi Charles, they did step up and made it right. Thanks for pointing this out to me. I updated my review.

      @@nickdebeer13 that is wonderful. Glad Yeti took care of you. Great customer service is hard to beat. How do you like the m30? I am torn between that one and the backflip 24 - maybe I just need to bite the bullet and get both! 🙃

    • @nickdebeer13
      @nickdebeer13 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@charlesworniv611 Hi Charles, I like the M30. The reviews are accurate that it can be a little funky to get things in and out, but Yeti has the super simple video on a couple of easy tricks that make it totally fine for me. Some folks have voiced concerns about the magnets wearing out, but I don't see that, and besides, with the nylon straps, it folds over and seals just fine. So I do recommend the M30. Regarding the backflip, the zippers seem strong, and I would think that Yeti has done some work to make them last longer, but the simplicity of the magnet is my personal preference. The zippers on my old one looked strong too. But I do know that things can be made stronger. Maybe reach out to them to see if they upgraded the zipper materials? They back their brand!

    Opening one as we speak. What’s the purpose of the one-sided mini handle?

    • @WanderingWeekends
      @WanderingWeekends  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are a few spots to add accessories.

    • @BradMaestas
      @BradMaestas 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is just a short-handle option. The balance is better if you have a Sidekick Dry attached to the front. Then it's more over the center of gravity.

    No shame in spending money on a nice product that you use. We’ve had a hopper two 30 for a little over a year. Nice cooler, though I’d trade it for the new m30 for sure. Just bought a tundra haul. I’m sure we’ll use our hopper more but having the bug tundra is great when we need the space. Nice channel!
