OMG OwlCrate is the best, I love them too! And yay, this edition was so gorgeous, I was so happy to get it! I was able to finish The Stars Are Dying earlier this month and overall my experience was positive! I did give the book a 4/5 stars as I found a lot of things I enjoyed about it, especially the romance and my new morally grey book boyfriend Nyte, but I also liked the worldbuilding with vampires living with humans (but them not necessarily living in peace) and the politics/alliances. However I will also say that I felt that there were some problems with the book as well, specifically around pacing but also not having the worldbuilding being more robust and flushed out, seemed a bit lacking and confusing at times too. Regardless, I hope you enjoy reading it and please let me know your thoughts on it as well whenever you get a chance to read it! 💕
I’m so glad I decided to keep this box, absolutely stunning. ❤ Thanks for sharing, haven’t gotten mine yet and was so curious to know how it turned out.
It is so hard when multiple book boxes do the same book because then you don't know which edition you'll like more! I'm sorry you missed out but hopefully Bookish Box's edition will be just as beautiful 💜
Another vampire book? That's the 3rd from Owlcrate in just 2 months! That being said, this is gorgeous! Love the purple and the foiling and the front design in general. The edges are great too. I enjoyed vampire books...more Anne Rice than Stephanie Myers but still. I haven't read the new OC ones yet, so maybe I'll be more in the mood for them once I actually read them. I, once again, have several books that I've been waiting for come into the library at once, so been focusing on them.
LOL you were so right about the vampire books being a thing lately! I love having vampires in my books but even I'm like, this seems a bit excessive 😅 Absolute truth, this book is a knockout all the way around, so gorgeous! Totally fair, I understand the love many readers hold for Anne Rice and for me, while I enjoyed the plot, I didn't enjoy her writing. I had the same problem with Tolkien actually, love the world, love the plot but the writing style killed it for me. As a reader, I am disappointed in myself that I don't love Anne Rice and Tolkien 😂 Regardless, I do hope that you end up enjoying the OC vampire books when you can get around to reading them. I was really enjoying Immortal Dark but then the last like 1/4 of it kinda got stale for me and now I'm debating if I would even want to continue the series. Hate when you're enjoying a book but then it ends with a bad taste in your mouth 😮💨
@@nikkilovesbooks Ugh, that's the worse! When you get into a book and love it and then...the ending just flops. The one that always comes into my mind is a King book (under the Bachman name), The Long Walk. The whole book is great...until the last 5 pages. It's like he got tired of writing and decided he needed to end it quickly. Totally ruined it for me. They are doing a movie soon and I'm very interested in seeing how they do it.
@@LJG7654 OMG I have heard that King is not always great about endings! He even acknowledges it and I believe he has praised the movie adaptation of The Mist for having a better ending than he was able to come up with. It will be very interesting to see how the movie deals with that book ending for sure! Hopefully it will move away from the source material at the end so it doesn't flop.
I skipped this one, it's pretty, but I just wasn't getting excited for what was inside the book. I'm skipping December as well, but I still like to see what they do.
Oh, that is SO fair! Reading is for enjoyment, so if you are not getting excited about a book, I say pass it up and get a book you're excited about! I will be sure to post my unboxing of the OwlCrate December box as soon as I'm able to so you can see what they do 💖
@nikkilovesbooks I watch unboxings even when I'm getting the books, I just like hearing how others feel about stuff, it's why I watch reaction videos, I'm fascinated by people's psychology, if they'll react similarly or not, how different is that reaction. I also don't have anyone to theorize with, so to me, that's fun.
@@jenn9027 People are so facinating and I love that we all can have an array of reactions to the same thing, definitely makes life more interesting! And same, I totally get it. 💕
I would love to see your TOG collection.
Video is up on my channel! 💖
I love OwlCrate! I did get this book and am looking forward to reading it and also hearing your thoughts 💜

OMG same! This edition is SO beautiful and totally worth it. I think it will be hard for Bookish Box to top this edition 😍
I’m interested in your throne of glass collection as well!
Yay! That video is up on my channel, hope you enjoy! 💕
Ok I regret skipping this box but I am trying to no get duplicate special editions of the same book!! They did a great job.

@@nikkilovesbooks Me too!
I like the top and bottom stenciled edges better than the main side edge. I think they should have switched them.
OMG same, that would have been a much better design! 💕
