    I also agree that it is a good idea to keep silent. I feel like if anyone does something, it can be used against those who are affected in some way 😔 really praying for everyone's wellbeing.

    Thank you, Jeanet, for all the reactions for WOH. It's wise to wait till everything calming down. There is lots rumors and half-truth going around. Most fans, I believe they had accepted the hard fact, it's a still very emtional and tough time.

    Thanks for your reaction. Thank you for being such a sincere person! I would like to see Junzhe content on this channel. I love both of them. And I'm worried about ZZH's situation, so it would be great to see how happy and playful he was with Gong Jun. I want to see their beautiful smiles. But this is your channel and your decision

    Hi Jeanet, appreciate this reaction, it lifts a heavy heart. And thanks for your sensitivity as well on the whole debacle. I couldn't hold back from leaving a response to a chain of comments below though, if only to give an alternative viewpoint. If you find it inappropriate, pls feel free to delete it. Thanks again, and take care.

    I love such crossover crack videos, they're really funny. So do react to more. And also to Junzhe - irrespective of the shipper/anti situation, what you said is right - they're really wholesome together. Though given the current situation with zzh, it's a bit tricky I can imagine

    Well..I might take different side than Jeanet or most international fans in ZZH matter, but anyway I respect all opinions and thank you very much for keeping reacting to word of honor vedios. No matter what happens in the real world, Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing are always excellent characters. I'm still addicted to this beautiful story.

    Thank you for your kindness and continuing work. As international audience at least we are further removed from the debacle, and woh on international platform like Netflix will remain untouched from the mess. Time will both heal and reveal everything. I'm going to take a look at the crack now and get some happy dose for the day😁

    I agree with you!!! I don’t think he deserves to be canceled just because of some photos. The online discussion in China is highly regulated and people are influenced to hate Japanese.

    • @snowstorm9788
      @snowstorm9788 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey sis, with no offense, it might not very objective to blame the regulation. It's the public, instead of Chinese government, first require him to leave this industry. What he really hurt is Chinese national pains. The government is only response to the public anger and made related measures.Even If they have lower regulation of discussion, I think ZZH would face the same hard situation as well.

    • @zixuanchen8898
      @zixuanchen8898 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@snowstorm9788 I agree. I said it’s regulated because I could not express my opinion that platforms and other people reported me just because my idea is different than theirs. I also said that Chinese are influenced by the CCP to hate Japan, which I think is the main cause of the public opinions to cancel ZZH.

      @@vitaminyee1889 Well, theoretically this possibility might exist, but in real life this hypothesis is almost impossible. Chinese are very concerned about the Yasukuni Shrine. If you check the news about Chinese Foreign Ministry, you might found that they have been seriously protesting against Japanese officials visiting the Yasukuni Shrine every year. I mean, it didn't happen every five years or every decade, it happened every year. And there is a convention in China that stars are supposed to follow and respond to major political events, as a very successful star, it is impossible that he did not know these news.
      In this case, some of ZZH's fans tried to argue that "I don't know about this place either" or "Even if he did visit Yasukuni Shrine, it's not a big deal, maybe he's just there to mock the war criminals", which may seem okay to foreigners, but is ridiculous to Chinese people. The possibility that a Chinese person does not know what Yasukuni Shrine is is like - forgive me for giving this example - like a Jew not knowing who Hitler was. It is almost common knowledge in China that the Yasukuni Shrine houses Japanese war criminals who have slaughtered Chinese people. Frankly, for his fans to say something like this just to save his acting career would really only make his situation worse. People will only realise that he has become influential enough for fans to spontaneously justify the act of visiting Yasukuni Shrine.
      Is it possible that ZZH is unaware that the plotters of the Lushun massacre are enshrined in his friend's wedding venue, Nagi Shrine? Perhaps. It is possible that he made such a mistake as Nagi Shrine is not that well known in China.
      Is it possible that ZZH did not know that the lady with whom he was affectionately photographed was an anti-Chinese figure who had published a series of hateful statements about China? Perhaps. That lady is also not very well known in China.
      Is it possible that ZZH was unaware that the photo he posted contained the famous Japanese militarist symbol, the Rising Sun flag? Unlikely. But we still reserve room for tolerance; perhaps he doesn't focus on history and doesn't really understand what that flag represents.
      All the above mistakes can be resolved by bowing and apologising and repenting sincerely. But how is it possible for ZZH, a totally Chinese, claim to not know about the Yasukuni Shrine? If he really does not know what the Yasukuni Shrine is, then he is amazingly ignorant. Asking him to quit acting and to stop misleading his fans with wrong knowledge is a reasonable request. If he knows about Yasukuni Shrine and still chooses to lie about it, then he is not only ignorant, but abominable.
      Considering the fact that such a dense element of Japanese militarism appearsed in his past record, I don't think he has been wrongly accused.

      @@vitaminyee1889 I haven't noticed the news about the satellite map, I will check it again, thank you for the information. According to what I have learned, there are no other scenic spots around the Yasukuni Shrine. If he wants to reach the location where he took the picture, he must purposely pass through several doors. Based on the comparison of photos, people believed that he was unlikely to have accidentally walked to that place. But again, I will check it later.
      Second, you may have noticed that 半月谈,a media representative of China’s official opinion,has already responded to the question of “whether ordinary Chinese should visit the Yasukuni Shrine”. That is a succinct "NO". The government's opposition includes not only solidarity with militarism, but also the act of visiting the shrine itself. Of course, ordinary Chinese may only face condemnation on a moral level after visiting the Yasukuni Shrine. But ZZH, as a famous star with the responsibility of guiding his fans and presenting a positive image, would face a much more serious punishment. With 14 World War II war criminals still enshrined in Yasukuni Shrine and the Japanese continuing to promote the symbolism of the shrine without any remorse, I don't think visiting the shrine can simply be seen as a touristic act. It will definitely be associated with politics.
      I am taking the liberty of assuming that you are a Chinese fan. Then you might notice that in fact apart from his fans, most Chinese don't feel that his punishment is unduly harsh. Whether mainstream media commentary or private posts that have received majority approval (in bilibili, zhihu, weibo, douban), most people think he deserves to pay such a price. In this case, I would prefer to view the fans' displeasure as being motivated by a preference for ZZH rather than a thought for justice. If such a thing had happened to another star instead of ZZH, I don't think his fans would still insist that the star shouldn't be canceled.

      Hi there. I am not here to argue with anyone, but just to give a few points for consideration. From what I have seen, most of ZZH's true fans agree that the mistakes he made were serious and inexcusable, and that it's best that he leave c-ent (for his own good as well). Those going around on Chinese social media platforms publicly downplaying his actions and arguing that cancelling him is unwarranted -- are all of them really his true fans? Are their identities not at all questionable, esp considering that most of his true fans are adhering to the call to lie low and shut up?
      Re the route to his photo-taking spot, yes, all routes available should be checked (including the path from the back of the sakura park leading to the front entrance of the shrine). Re the old woman, she had stated in an IG post (blasting ZZH for his inappropriate dressing at the wedding) that she doesn't know him. Re the sentiments on Chinese social media platforms, it will do all of us good to remember that public opinion can be swayed and manipulated.
      For those who speak Chinese, not sure if you had checked out 观棋有语 eps 127 and 128 (the hosts of this programme discuss current affairs/political issues and are retired officials who still have some connections). Suffice to say that in ep127, investigations into the ZZH matter was discussed and the conclusion was that ZZH did not pay respect at the shrine, that he is stupid but not a bad person, and that there were other "bad pple" in play. In ep128, it was further revealed that a trap had been set while ep127 was being broadcasted, resulting in the arrest of a man who was paid to post negative comments to sway opinion against ZZH. The man was found to be involved in more than one incident and a link to foreign funding was discovered.
      Again, ZZH leaving c-ent is a done deal. BUT (note the caps), whether he leaves clean or labelled with a traitor tag is the issue (and it's not just his true fans who are concerned with this). Netizens' persistent and unwarranted labeling of him as a traitor will utterly ruin him. Shouldn't one refrain from tagging someone a traitor, guilty of espionage, until there is concrete proof? The ill-will shown in wishing further harm on him (wanting him dead, wanting him to go to jail, wanting him to experience xxxx in jail since he starred in a BL drama, wanting him to be expelled from his country etc), is blood-chilling.
      The situation is complicated and there are too many qns yet unanswered, e.g. the reveal of the photos hot on the heels of other accusations (timed so well that the situation escalated so quickly) plus other rumours and misinformation. One can't help but feel that it would be better for formal investigations to be carried out and the outcome announced. If there is proof that ZZH did commit crimes against the nation, then take criminal actions against him. If not, then formally clear his name and let him leave c-ent without any labels. As for those who manipulate and make use of public sentiments as a weapon for their own gain, they, too, should not be allowed to get away scot-free.
