Likely because Metroid is a more niche franchise than the other two, and they think it wouldn’t sell as well because of its lesser popularity. I get what you mean, though.
No, buyers have a reality problem. People are more than happy to shell out £1000s on special editions and micro transactions, but complain about £60 for a game, even a remake if it is from a way previous gen.
Metroid Prime Remastered is a red herring given the series' relevance on the market is abysmal and let's be real it did not sell despite being $40. Value is upon the consumer, so to say Nintendo has a pricing problem is enabling the vocal minority that taps in when it's their game coming but pocket watch for others when it comes to a game they have no interest in.
The problem is that, the average game in 2017 for a 2ds/3ds was 20€ and 40€ for an expensive one. They raised their prices by 20€... that could buy you another game on the 2ds/3ds.
If the game release at 60 and the sales are not what they hoped it to be, prices drop. In the end, prices are what they should be after a few weeks, at least on amazon. Heck, i bought the PS5 version of elden ring including the 40$ DLC for just 60 dollar the day it released on amazon. It means the base game was 20$ but none of the versions are sold 20$, not even the PS4 one.
what sucks is that when I was a kid, my family was pretty poor. The Nintendo GameCube was cheap, and players choice games only cost 20 bucks for some of the most high quality experiences available. Nintendo used to discount their best games once they sold enough, because it helped further their brands. now that they are so established and on top, theyre resting on their laurels. and they're worse for it.
I would go a step farther and say even if you haven’t played the game before don’t buy it at $60. Yes it’s all “new content” to you but then you’re sending the message to Nintendo that $60 is an ok price to charge for a simple port.
No the world has a capitalism problem. They price it based on what the market will bare, and there are ZERO indications this game should be less than 60 based on the market and switch install base.
Bro just says the same thing on repeat for 10 minutes
If they have a pricing problem the consumer created it. If you don't think their games are valuable enough pay $60, don't buy them.
The fact that Metroid Prime Remastered exists at $40 makes stuff like Luigi’s Mansion 2 and DKCR ridiculous

The hardware is overpriced, the software is overpriced. The games themselves are good.
Nintendo has always had the cheapest consoles what are you on about lol
@@Vindisk I said "overpriced", not expensive.
A full remake from the ground up cost INFINITELY more than a simple HD upres.
At 0 seconds in… yes, yes they do. Lol they stingy.

The Gamecube was a commercial failure so they fire sold all their games and took thin margins on everything. We're in different times with the Switch.
You’ve no idea what you talking about games used to be bucks in 90s now adjusting for inflation they cost half

Not gonna even bother with the video. Don’t buy the game if you don’t like the price.
Well if ya watched it I did say to vote with your wallet 😉

Nice hat!
Should have been $30. Looks like a lazy port.
It comes out in January bro it’s not a finished product yet
