    “Grows great here”? And where exactly is here?!! 🙄 I’m in Florida, where pomegranates DON’T “grow great here”.

      Matthews North Carolina. Located in USDA cold hardiness zone 7b. At an old fashioned Mom & Pop Hardware/ Feed & Seed store. The right pomegranite variety WILL grow excellent in your area of Florida!

      I live in Pensacola, Florida and have a few Wonderful Pomegranates, and some Pomegranates I have grown from the seeds of Wonderful variety and they grow/produce fantastic here.

      In areas with clay soil, it's beneficial to mound up with ammendment, soil, sand... and plant the rootball above grade in that mound. Pomegranate likes soil that drains well... and is pretty low maintenance otherwise.

      @@ThomB1031 that makes sense on why my pomegranates are probably doing well. My soil is very sandy as we live close to the beaches, but I also put my plants ineaised beds, in my front yard, so they sit about six inches higher then the surrounding soil. So drainage is pretty good overall.

      There are a lot of pomegranate bushes in Morehead City North Carolina and they produce a lot of fruit.

      @@hischild3759 Seed grown trees take up to 12 years to mature. That's why most nurserys sell propagated trees. You'll get fruit much faster. Good luck.
