I genuinely think Thorfinn is one of the most impactful characters not just in manga, but in all of fiction. Just look at the amount of people influenced by a character to become a better person. I can’t think of another character who has got this many people genuinely trying to improve themselves.

Im dedicating this last half of 2023 to myself, not selfishly but mostly trying to improve myself. It starts with my emotional and mental health. It’s time to take this one day at a time. I am the most emotionally mature of my life. I’ve grown closer than ever to God. Still got a ways to go, but I’m feeling great!

They've only served me a temporary purpose, as I always found myself back in the same predicament I was in before I'd watched them. Stuck in a cycle of detrimental habits and hobbies, lacking motivation and love for myself, misjudging others, acting irrational. I've always heard about how great of a person I can be, how much potential I have, how much my friends, family and girlfriend love and adore me, but I've never fully believed I was everything they say. I always found myself in a loop of scorn, hate, dejection and sadness. But today I've decided to follow this. I have no enemies. And that includes myself.

The second i decide ill be more patient, everyone becomes more annoying. When you decide to become better, god challenges you on that word. And you gotta prove that you are infact a better person.
This is that moment when you look back at your life and realize that you're entering a world where what you've done is now a burden. That shit hurts, but it's always important to remember that shame and regret come with the territory when you're trying to change. Having this massive, profound realization that you weren't a good person or that what you've done no longer carries the same weight shouldn't be something that you let scare you into reverting. Push forward, and become that beautiful, indomitable creature that we all want to be.
Committing to (really) improving yourself is truly beautiful. All the pain, the sadness, the things you start to realize and so much more that comes with it can really get you down. But dealing with it and watching your seeds grow is so rewarding, it's worth it, it's pure self love. With all the comments I've seen, I've realized that lately I've been wearing myself down a lot with feelings of anger and disgust, I've been hurting the people I love and care, and that's what prompted me to comment on this video the most. I want to improve, I want to be able to forgive, I want inner peace. well, at the end of it all, I think we all have to remember: we have no enemies. :)

Edit 9/18/2023: So it’s been about 3 months, and let me tell you that the progress has been astounding. The one thing I’ve learned over these months is to love yourself. Also I started a journal where I write down things that I am thankful for. I have lost 30lbs as well. I am the most emotionally mature of my life. I’ve grown closer than ever to God. Still got a ways to go, but I’m feeling great!

Today I decided to dedicate myself like never before. I've gone through hundreds of motivational videos, slides, texts, interviews, quotes, whatever you can think of. They've only served me a temporary purpose, as I always found myself back in the same predicament I was in before I'd watched them. Stuck in a cycle of detrimental habits and hobbies, lacking motivation and love for myself, misjudging others, acting irrational. I've always heard about how great of a person I can be, how much potential I have, how much my friends, family and girlfriend love and adore me, but I've never fully believed I was everything they say. When you decide to become better, god challenges you on that word. And you gotta prove that you are infact a better person.
This is that moment when you look back at your life and realize that you're entering a world where what you've done is now a burden. That shit hurts, but it's always important to remember that shame and regret come with the territory when you're trying to change. Having this massive, profound realization that you weren't a good person or that what you've done no longer carries the same weight shouldn't be something that you let scare you into reverting. Push forward, and become that beautiful, indomitable creature that we all want to be.
Committing to (really) improving yourself is truly beautiful. All the pain, the sadness, the things you start to realize and so much more that comes with it can really get you down. But dealing with it and watching your seeds grow is so rewarding, it's worth it, it's pure self love.
With all the comments I've seen, I've realized that lately I've been wearing myself down a lot with feelings of anger and disgust, I've been hurting the people I love and care, and that's what prompted me to comment on this video the most.
