To put an end to my longstanding curiosity, this is a remix by Ashley Beadle (not The Propellerheads, etc). It can be found on a US 4 track promotional disc distributed by Warner/Chappell Music. This one in particular is the third track, the "extended mix".
Is there a remix of Circles by The Propellerheads? I have a karaoke version that claims to be of such a thing, but can't find any record of such a mix existing. EDIT: This is the mix the karaoke version is of. Seems it's mislabeled.
The beat should be played every morning to start your day. Fun song that can crossover with younger kids. Fantastic beat ya'll. I can hear this in a loop.
Circles was already a song that provided me joy and this remix makes me imagine of a sunny summer day. Despite the worlds conditions. I’ll enjoy that sunny day. Walking in circles memorizing the things I’ve lost positively. The world sucks yet life ahead will shine. Legit though, this song just makes me feel happy and positive. Much love to the sunnier seasons, I love them because they show how beautiful God’s creations are. Edit: On archive.org, I found a higher quality version of this from a CD compilation from 1999. It is entitled "AE Mix 1". I plan on buying it and many other CD's from B-sides and all that jazz from SC, but does anyone know of any full releases out there?
@dandanthetaximan Near as I can figure, the Dead Man on Campus CD includes the Propellerheads mix of SUPER BON BON, not CIRCLES. This track was apparently released on a Soul Coughing disc called "Oslo" which most resources do not record as having ever existed. I found an mp3 of it in a folder entitled "Soul Coughing vs. Propellerheads" in a larger collection. "Oslo" was listed as the Album in the file's ID3 tags. According to Wiki, this track was also used in a Dentyne ad in 2003. Good hunting!
I remember when this came out as a teenager, they played it on the radio, I just assumed this was THE version and never realized it was a remix until years later. Glad it still lives on in TH-cam cuz I don't know if your can find it anywhere else.
Man, I absolutely love the original version of this song, but, as a bboy, I gotta say that this version is so hot! I love the beat -- you can actually dance to this version! :D After all: what's cooler than being able to dance to Soul Coughing?!?! lol
Thank you for keeping this out there... had a hell of a time finding the correct origin of this song, but the time stamp was invaluable. It is constantly misidentified as Propellerheads, but is in fact the Extended version of the Ashley Beedle Radio Edit.
never heard a remix that is as good as the original, though this one has got quite a different twist from the original. and... that's why i love this remix =/)
I remember hearing this for the 1st time on a cd my sister gave me. American Eagle Outfitters AE Mix 1. That had a lot of good songs on it. Anyone know if it's uploaded on here. I can't seem to find it.
does anybody has a program called mixman? It was a kinda dj mixing software, and it has the CIrcles as d-plate :) I was made a lot of mixes of Circles like this one :D That was the first time I heard of Soul Coughin... and it was love for first sight
The hook to the original needs to get mashed with this, ASAP. I'll do it, also have to get that Diary of Jane & One Last Dance With Mary Jane mashup squared away
@iamrachelbobEr yeah but Soul Coughing was already big before both groups even had a hit single is this what they mean with the chicken and egg situation?
but i can sign now that you made the move uh it has gone and gone to dogs lay down on the floor for the right price i can get everything uh slip into the car go driving to the farest star I dont need to walk around in circles walk huh in circles walk around in circles walk around in I LOVE THIS SONG and this remix too lol
yeah I know man, but I really dont wanna buy that soundtrack for one song, wish there was a way to buy or dwnld just "The Bug" I've looked around, but no luck. -rock on
@KAGDAIS It's a Soul Coughing song, remixed by (supposedly) the Propellerheads. Soul Coughing still retains rightful credit for the material, the only thing they didn't do was remix it themselves.
I love the hip hop influenced sound.

@@danieldaniels7571 They only remixed Super Bon Bon.
Whoever put the karaoke track up must've just labeled it off this TH-cam video.
Any chance you know where I can listen to the instrumental and radio versions from that record too?
@@PassionWagonYT I had access to them 10 years ago (damn, how time flies) but sadly no longer do.
@@Corpseplower Noooooo!

I can't get over how amazing this song sounds, especially the piano intro.
I remember discovering this on the Urban Outfitters website digital radio of all places.
Daaaamng
A good friend of mine showed me this not too long ago.....reminds me of the happy times we had together
They laid enough beauty down for me to listen to on repeat forever. Soul Coughing WILL live on.
love what sounds like a fluttering clarinet sample in the background
3:16 Restarts my heart every time.

This album WAS my first year of elementary school.

my local radio station used to play this remix all the fucking time
That's awesome.
When he says "WHAT IM DOING, IM DOING."
It sounds like "When I boiled, I boil."

Makes me not mind driving in circles and walking I circles and sitting in circles and going on and on repeat 🔁
wow! what can i say? this song puts a smile on my face! thanks
I love this. The original is already amazing, this made me love Soul Coughing even more
i like this better then the original.

this song reminds of last summer hanging with friends looking at girls getting in trouble by doing pranks -it has this feeling of being nostalgic
Lovely. 💖
bittersweet
Damn, a very cool blast from the past. Rated.
Thanks a bunch for putting this up! Love this song. Much memories

way before their time.
Too damn funny for this world!!
When i hear this i think about 8-4 in Super Mario Bros. or any game that had a styled level like that.
never heard a remix that is as good as the original, though this one has got quite a different twist from the original.
and... that's why i love this remix =/)
Love this song
Rare instance where a remix is arguably better than the original song.
I beg to differ. ;)
It's a great remix non the less.
The adventuring party is lost. Again.
this is awesome!!!!!

I'm not usually one for a remix of a tune I already liked...but I've got to say, this is pretty sweet. I enjoyed it very much. ;>)

Cool!
@gongadesh I see, you're right. A lot of them are very similar. I'd be down to see a reunion tour.
oooh thats the one i liked!
It is actually meant to be a bear-monkey. The band would mention it from time to time. It was intended to have aspects of both.
I like this music

Even going on that, there's absolutely no guarantee that copies of the CD would be circulating around as if they were pennies.
You can find the CD online in the UK....
But I'm trying to find where I can download it...
When I found this mix way back when it was labelled as a Propellerhead mix. Guess someone messed up their MP3 tags?
thanks tinker, its all good
nice!
this is a remix by a band called Propellerheads... maybe you can find it somewhere titled under their name... that's what i did.
I feel like this song should of been GT3 seeing as how soul coughing was in GT2
Ashley Beedle Remix - Circa late 2000
Listening in 2013
you can find "The Bug" on the Batman & Robin (1997) soundtrack
hhmmmm i like it!
Considering he does it four times in a row, I think it might be deliberate.
@iamrachelbobEr yeah but Soul Coughing was already big before both groups even had a hit single
is this what they mean with the chicken and egg situation?

True but Mike has been putting shit out since soul coughing and it's just as good, if not better.

Wow, this is such a great remix. The wife and I heard it on Sirius - Boombox and need to hear again. anyone know who does this remix?
Ashley Beadle
@ebelingb I doubt it ever happens. Would be awesome but I think the only person that would prevent it from happening would be Mike himself.
Hello, Does anyone know how to download or buy the Soul Coughing song, " The Bug" cant find it.
Thanks for any help.
It is on one of the Batman soundtracks check there.
This sounds like the propellerheads remix of this song - It's awesome!

Except that it isn't the Propellerheads remix and it is rare in that it's hard to come by.
