Hi! In The Pussycat Dolls case, you should never use a live performance as an example of what happens in the studio because a lot (and I really mean a lot) of background vocals are sung by Nicole so, if they'd translate that concept to live performances, Nicole would be the only one singing. I really appreciate your comments saying that you hear the dolls but, sadly, Carmit does not sing the lower vocal in the chorus because she would sound different, I can't tell how but different. Nicole and Carmit have very similar tones but, what I'm trying to do with these remakes of the analysis is to be realistic (and sometimes I would love not to be) but, at then end, it's more probably that Nicole sung the whole chorus, doing every vocal in it , than the producers did Carmit and Melody sing more vocals apart from backings in certain parts and adlibs. It's sad but probably true. Talking about Nicole vocal range is complex because she has the ability of sound as the other dolls but, deep down, is because she has a huge vocal range, reaching very low notes or makin her voice sound as, for example, Jessica in her middle tone. I'm a Pussycat Dolls fan, not a Nicole one but, if what I hear is her, i won't lie to you and add the other girls as I used to do some years ago because I wanted them to be singing when I didn't hear them. You are on your right to believe that the other dolls sung some vocals in some parts of the songs as I on my right to don't hear them because, here, everyone is free of having a personal opinion. Love you all.
@6:29 the lower harmony is Carmit , love. Nicole and Carmit have similar tones in certain areas, but Nicole cannot go as low as Carmit. That is in fact Carmit, she sings it in all of the live performances, that can be seen in her vocals video on my TH-cam. th-cam.com/users/shortsHbkQYYuhsZ4?si=apEYufnXRAxpHW0T
Yeah but most of the backing vocals of the studio versions of the songs were « Nicole » even in your video, the Dolls ONLY sings the backing vocals in the LIVE versions. For example : Ashley, Kimberly & Jessica doesen’t have one line in Buttons, BUT they sings the « Huh-Huh »’s live !
For example : Here th-cam.com/video/1dWxvvFJRJ4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=btISdARapZj_E4Qa you can 100% hear each of them BUT on the CD version of the songs, they aren’t here, you know ?
@@privateaudition747 In the studio version of Stickwitu Carmit sings the lower harmony, Nicole's lower register does not extend far enough for it to be her. Both studio and live, the lower harmony is Carmit. The tonal quality of the two is similar but distinguishable based on support in the lower extremities, Nicole loses it around an Eb3 whereas Carmit can comfortably sing down to an A2. You are correct though about the others.
the lower harmony is nicole, her voice is clearly just tuned into place using melodyne which is very common for producers to do. they done the same with the lower harmonies on buttons so it sounds almost like a vocoder. they are then mixed by the likes of Dave Pensado, who is pretty much a god in sound engineering so you would never know
Sorry for the delay... Man this was really good, it's a shame the girls don't have solo parts, they just have harmonies, it reminded me of Destiny child!
it’s possible they did but they were cut. we will probably never know but it is common for that to happen. i also found it weird how it seems they only called the other girls in to pointlessly sing literally 2 lines😂
doll domination is a bunch of nicole’s solo album tracks, with a couple extras thrown in like watcha think about that & LTWYLM. it always makes me laugh how they literally just took the nicole songs and slapped the dolls name on it😂

Every song analysis make me think she really sang around 90 % of the album

Thanks!! ❤
It's bizarre how the other girls didn't even record the chorus' harmonies... 😢

What's the next video? Buttons, Right Now Or Hot Stuff ... I really look forward to Buttons ❤
I really appreciate the first album for at least putting Carmit and Melody on most of the songs. The second album…….
Chile…. You mean “Her Name Is Nicole” demo album?

Can u do Buttons update and When I Grow Up
Jeez! 😮 did the other 3 even get any vocals on the album?
I think Right Now was only song they all recorded.
@@ericsuxx Damn! Wish they got to release more after covid with their reunion tour now. Would’ve been nice to hear more vocals from the others.
Thank you so much for videos on pcd my favorite is stickwitu ❤️🥰🫶
