@my amazon guy, re. Search Terms (Generic Keyword), this morning I discovered Amazon has reverted to counting the space as bytes regardless of whether space is considered as a byte or not in technical terms. The error message stopped when the number of characters and spaces came below 251. FYI, I am not using any non-latin complex characters that may be counted as more than 1 byte.
Hi Steven. Thank you for this great content, it's very helpful! I just have a question, how do I find this SEO Search Query in UK seller central? I can't be able to see this in our account, we are already Brand Registered but I guess not all sellers are eligible for this? What we only have under the Brands dashboard is Amazon Search Terms , Repeat Purchase Behaviour and Market Basket Analysis. I can't find the Search Query in the dropdown list. Thanks in advance :)
28:56 Two things to point out regarding the search terms section: 1) Either Amazon's 249 byte max or all online byte counters are wrong. Every online byte counter I've used will spit my list of search terms for one listing back to me at 291 bytes, but amazon allows me to submit it successfully at 247 bytes. The online byte counters do add 1 byte per space or comma, but Amazon doesn't...evidenced by the fact that you can add as many commas as you'd like to a 249 byte Amazon search term list and you won't receive the >249 byte error, but add a few extra letters and you do. 2) Characters with diacritics (like the n with the tilde you used in the word nino) will count for 2 bytes rather than 1 - but remain counted as 1 character...on both Amazon and online byte counters. It's the reason your list showed 289 chars but 290 bytes. To my knowledge, the amazon algo doesn't account for the difference between a word like nino with or without the tilde so it's essentially a waste of a byte. Never will a 248 vs 249 byte search terms list make or break a listing but good to know nonetheless!

should you include common misspelling and plurals/tense of the word IE: choke, choked, choker, chokes, choking, or gift vs present, mom mother mommy ma etc in the back end search terms?
I have a question Steven - Can I create 4 groups of back end keywords and have them on different child listings? This is so I can get more keywords on the back end "generic keywords". What do you think ?
Yes, you can create 4 groups of backend keywords and assign them to different child listings. This strategy can help you maximize the number of keywords you use in the backend and improve your search rankings. By targeting different sets of generic keywords on each child listing, you can potentially attract a wider range of potential customers and increase your visibility on Amazon. Just make sure to optimize each group of keywords based on the specific product and its relevance to avoid keyword stuffing.
Hi Steven, Thank you very much for your high-value content! I have a question about the backend search terms section: Let's assume that I already have the most relevant keywords by conversion and search volume in the title, bullet points, or description and are already indexed and well-ranked but aren't in the search terms box. Should I also use these main keywords in the search terms box instead of secondary ones (currently using), that don't appear on the visible listing and are much less relevant? I'd like to know if replacing the secondary words with the more powerful ones in the search terms even if they are already on the visible details page, could have a better impact on sales and ranking. Thank you
I implemented the strategy here starting with phase 3 since my listing had already been up for 7 months and had the appropriate number of words ranked from 20-50. I think I may have misunderstood something since everything went to hell fast. My search volume has dropped by 50%-70%. I see that the title is loaded with exact KWs, but what is the KW density for the bullets and A+ content? I stuffed it everywhere and that did not work. Is there a tutorial on KW density?
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing a drop in search volume after implementing the strategy. Regarding keyword density in bullets and A+ content, it's important to note that Amazon's algorithm doesn't directly consider keyword density. Instead, it focuses on relevance and customer experience. While it's essential to include relevant keywords in your bullets and A+ content, you should prioritize providing valuable and informative content to potential customers. Stuffed content with excessive keyword usage may negatively impact your listing's readability and user experience, which can lead to lower conversion rates. It's recommended to find a balance between incorporating relevant keywords and maintaining a natural flow of content. Though there isn't a specific tutorial on keyword density, I can provide some general guidelines. Aim to include your most relevant and high-priority keywords in your bullets and A+ content. Focus on writing compelling, persuasive, and informative content that accurately describes your product's features, benefits, and unique selling points. Remember to prioritize readability and ensure that your content is engaging and easy to understand for customers. Thanks to this Amazon SEO video, and the MAG SEO course, I became more equipped and confident to do my job. Now, I'm eager to take the other MAG courses.
Thanks for this Steven. I’m working on stage 4 market share. I’ve seen in this video that you’re going off the rank amazons placed for each word and the relevance you believe it has for the age of sage pack for gifts for moms. My question is why wouldn’t you rather aim on targeting the words where you’re getting most sales from higher up in the rank that Amazon’s given? So sort the words according to clicks and then see which ones brought most sales and then have those words all over the listing?
Focus on whatever will gain market share = more sales. Sometimes that means focussing on impressions, clicks, add to carts, or purchase, or ICAP as I call it. Watch this: th-cam.com/video/xDsphG2GsBE/w-d-xo.html
Cerebero mines the listing and spits out a large amount of KWs. How about we enter our top 5 (or whatever max it allows) ASINs into Brand Analytics Section. It will give us first hand data directly from Amazon itself. Those keywords will be where our entered ASINs have top 3 CVR share or Click share. Would third party software beat that degree of relevancy ?
Hi, steven please 10:30 time you were talking about setting more specific keywords in the backend of A+ images but I do not know how to do that can you explain that please, can we do the same thing with listing images?

Hey Steven. You are doing a great job. I wanna add a point where you add a ranking column before keywords and based on your experience and knowledge assigned a number to a keyword. What if a newbie is working on this sheet a have no Idea of assigning a specific number to a Kw. I have a solution to this called Relevancy Column. Relevancy column will give you a number in front of a keyword that means this number of your competitors are ranked on this Keyword. Its very simple and easy to use. Add a column Relevancy next to Search volume and type a formula in cell. Let say our competitors rank column start from S8 and end at Y8 (S8-Y8) The formula for finding relevancy for a keyword in relevancy cell would be =Countif(S8:Y8,"

Love it! A completely new way of looking at Amazon keyword optimization and Amazon SEO ranking. The old ways of how to rank on Amazon has changed. 2022 Amazon keywords research requires a whole new way of thinking for page 1 ranking. Good way to get ahead of the game :D
Wow, this is a great way to rank page 1 on amazon keyword ranking amazon. The keywords example also SEO amazon keyword optimization will help raise high traffic and high impression. Leading to high sales with Amazon SEO optimization.
Thanks for your video, I have a question, when you selected the keywords from the excel sheet , you started fill with search term field, I believe that we need to sort the keywords and we short start with title , bullets, description and search term, please correct me if I'm wrong
This is awesome guide - question, for each phase, when should I know when to move on? Phase 0 to 1, 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 4? For phase 1, you said repeat every 2-4 weeks with different key words, for phase 3, you said only start after having 50 keywords between 20-50 rank. Can you clarify on timeline and how often I should repeat?
The best SEO video ever. Steven! Its been a month my product is launched, Its not ranking at all and not getting good impressions in PPC aswell. Do you suggest to start from phase zero or to apply phase 4 ? Your help much appreciated.
Hi there. On 5:30 minute of this video you said that 5-6 competitors (of the top 10) on the same keyword is a good sign.. but when doing the phase 0 you doesn't filter the keywords to show only keywords that are common for at least for 5 out of 10.. you only filtered for 1-30 ranking keywords.. So as a result, in your filtered list of around 2000 keywords - you also have keywords that only 1 of 10 ASIN have. WHY ? Thanks
I have a main keyword in an exact single keyword campaign and it's plural form in a campaign with 4 other keywords. The plural form is getting a lot of impressions and clicks and has used up nearly $30 and no sales... The main keyword has a search volume of 150,00 and the plural form has 2500. What's the issue here?
To add "alt text" to your Enhanced Brand Content (EBC) images on Amazon, you can follow these steps: 1. Sign in to your Seller Central account. 2. Go to the "Advertising" tab and select "Enhanced Brand Content" from the dropdown menu. 3. Choose the ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) of the product you want to edit. 4. Click on the "Edit" button next to the image you want to add alt text to. 5. In the image editor, you will find an option to add alt text. Enter a descriptive text that accurately describes the image. 6. Save your changes and submit your EBC updates. Adding alt text to your EBC images helps improve accessibility and search engine optimization (SEO) for your product listings. th-cam.com/video/Lj1a5spopDk/w-d-xo.html
Amazon SEO is so important to understand!! Thanks for always sharing your knowledge in keywords and the best tips to rank products. That intro though... haha!
Very informative video. Thank you so much for sharing. What do you think about simplifying the manual grading system with Search Volume / Average Rank and ordering based on those values. I tried it and got a fairly similar list as with manual ranking. I had to manually downgrade some of the branded keywords though, but I think this could also be overcome by adding * Ranking Competitors (count) to the formula. So the final formula would be Search Volume / Average Rank * Ranking Competitors (count).
Simplifying the manual grading system with a formula based on Search Volume, Average Rank, and Ranking Competitors count can provide insights into keyword prioritization. Adjusting the formula by including Ranking Competitors count can help identify opportunities with lower competition. Continuously monitor and adjust the results to align with your specific goals and outcomes.
Hi Steven, good work. I have an important question about choosing your correct competitors in order to come up with correct data later on. What are the things to check in order to really tell that these are my direct competitors? Should it be on atleast same or near price as yours... same product material... same quantity offer (example: my offer is 2-pack...should I only compete against 2-pack competitors also or should I cover the 4-pack as well, etc)? What else do you have in mind that could guide us? I am kinda thinking how would my potential buyer is going to search on Amazon. Thanks in advance.
Doesn't matter if perfect competitor because you just need the keywords relevant to the category. Later if you can't convert on said keywords you adjust.
If you're having trouble changing or sticking the alt text in your product photo on Amazon, there could be a few reasons why this is happening. Here are a few things you can try: Clear your cache and cookies - Sometimes, browser cookies and cache can interfere with website functionality. Clearing your cache and cookies can often solve these types of issues. Use a different browser - If clearing your cache and cookies didn't work, try using a different browser to see if the problem persists. Sometimes, certain browsers may not be fully compatible with certain website features. Try a different image file - If the issue persists, try using a different image file for your product photo. Sometimes, image files can become corrupted or have issues that prevent them from being uploaded or edited properly. Contact Amazon support - If none of the above solutions work, you may need to reach out to Amazon support for assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or help you resolve the issue.
Hello Amazon Guy, Hope you are well:) I encountered a question that I really need to know and I think, you can answer this question nicely if i write bullet point description in broad match type then my listing will be poor optimize for SEO ranking? For example: keyword: [dove milk soap] 3 word keyword bullet point description: white ''dove'' baby premium ''milk'' natural ''soap"' If I write the bullet point description in this board type then my product list will be poor optimize for SEO ranking? i am waiting for your feedback
How important is the exact keyword phrase? For example, if trying to capture key phrase "blue sticky pad" in the title, does the following work or do you need it word for word? "Blue thick paper sticky post pad"
While putting the keywords in search term or generic keywords is the syntax/phrasing of keywords important ? can I randomly put keywords without phrasing ?
When creating the A+Premium content and adding the keywords to the images used, would you use the same keywords for each photo ? My listings are very mature. Thanks
Hi Steven, I LOVE THE CONTENT! I have been studying SEO from various videos you have made. Thank you for this opportunity! Also, one Short Question: In Phase 2, when we replace with the new keywords on the title, do we only use the exact match keywords? Or Can we make it broad or phrase? Thank you!!!

Great Amazon SEO video - very comprehensive! I have a question for you: I'm a KDP seller and instead of search term fields, KDP gets 7 backend keywords slots to fill. Do you think we can apply the same method as you and assume that words from the different slots can permutate? E.g. if in slot 1 I have "non fiction" and in slot 2 I have "economics" amazon may index for "non fiction economics"? Appreciate your help!

Sorry, I'm a bit confused and watched 5 times. I can't process this for some reason: During the incremental indexing stage, when removing keywords that are already in the Title/Bullets/Description from the Search Terms and replacing them with new keywords, are we removing the indexed keywords from the Title as well, or just leaving them in the title and only replacing in the search terms? Thanks in advance!

A completely new way of looking at Amazon keyword optimization and Amazon SEO ranking. The old ways of how to rank on Amazon has changed. 2022 Amazon keywords research requires a whole new way of thinking for page 1 ranking. Good way to get ahead of the game :D
Amazon SEO is the game, and Keyword ranking is my name.
Does having dashes in your title help with Google searches ? And what about having your brand in the Title?
Other than canonical url no
Wow, this is a great way to rank page 1 on amazon keyword ranking amazon. The keywords example also SEO amazon keyword optimization will help raise high traffic and high impression. Leading to high sales with Amazon SEO optimization.
The more Amazon SEO research you do, the better chance you have to get to page 1!
Thanks for your video, I have a question, when you selected the keywords from the excel sheet , you started fill with search term field, I believe that we need to sort the keywords and we short start with title , bullets, description and search term, please correct me if I'm wrong
In SEO phase 1 they match. In seo phase 2+ you rotate the back end and front end for differing reasons.
Thank you so much! This is the most intensive and thorough Amazon SEO video I've watched.
Gotta get those exact match Amazon SEO keywords in
Hey Steven, really appreciate your content!
Have you done any videos on writing copy and how to incorporate keywords into your listing?
Amazon SEO
Thanks for all the information!
You got it!
30 days min
The best SEO video ever. Steven! Its been a month my product is launched, Its not ranking at all and not getting good impressions in PPC aswell. Do you suggest to start from phase zero or to apply phase 4 ? Your help much appreciated.
Phase 1. Up the PPC spend.
Also lower the price
WHY ? Thanks
Definitely filter for top 10 competitors most commonly used keywords to be thorough
So once you are ranked pos 1-19, you switch out for the next set of keywords that are pos 20-50 and adjust images/a+ accordingly?
I have a main keyword in an exact single keyword campaign and it's plural form in a campaign with 4 other keywords. The plural form is getting a lot of impressions and clicks and has used up nearly $30 and no sales...
The main keyword has a search volume of 150,00 and the plural form has 2500.
What's the issue here?
Bids are higher on the singular and convert better?
How to add "alt text" on ebc images?
To add "alt text" to your Enhanced Brand Content (EBC) images on Amazon, you can follow these steps:

King of the Amazon sellers world not only Amazon SEO
Very kind of you Osos! I have passion for all things Amazon FBA! It's just this might be my best piece of work ever, and it happens to be Amazon SEO.
Amazon SEO is so important to understand!! Thanks for always sharing your knowledge in keywords and the best tips to rank products. That intro though... haha!
Yeah I got negative feedback on the intro lol. Probably won't repeat that Amazon SEO mistake again...
Thank you very much for showing us how you work. I really appreciate all that you teach.
This is one of my favorite videos
Great video with tons of info
Glad it was helpful!

48 hours up to 2 weeks. It can go fast.
@@MyAmazonGuy Thanks Steven for that clarification.

Unable to change/ stick alt text in product photo. It automatically changes to previous one
Pls suggest steps
If you're having trouble changing or sticking the alt text in your product photo on Amazon, there could be a few reasons why this is happening. Here are a few things you can try:
Clear your cache and cookies - Sometimes, browser cookies and cache can interfere with website functionality.
Hello Amazon Guy,
Hope you are well:)
I encountered a question that I really need to know and I think, you can answer this question nicely
if i write bullet point description in broad match type then my listing will be poor optimize for SEO ranking?
For example:
keyword: [dove milk soap]
3 word keyword
bullet point description:
white ''dove'' baby premium ''milk'' natural ''soap"'
If I write the bullet point description in this board type then my product list will be poor optimize for SEO ranking?
i am waiting for your feedback
Exact match will outrank broad for exact match keywords
@@MyAmazonGuy i dont fully understand, can you explain more?🙏🙏🙏
How important is the exact keyword phrase? For example, if trying to capture key phrase "blue sticky pad" in the title, does the following work or do you need it word for word?
"Blue thick paper sticky post pad"
Go exact match whenever possible. Can't hit them all of course.
While putting the keywords in search term or generic keywords is the syntax/phrasing of keywords important ? can I randomly put keywords without phrasing ?
Random in search field. But exact match while on listing.
MAG- please can you lmk how you’re able to add packaging on your main image? Amazon always suspends the photo when I try.. thanks
This isn't hard. Email me the photo I'll tell you what to adjust podcast@myamazonguy.com
Learning doesn't end with MAG School certificate. Thanks for this Steven!
You are welcome, Joshua. Happy to help.
When creating the A+Premium content and adding the keywords to the images used, would you use the same keywords for each photo ? My listings are very mature. Thanks
If going for indexing, one time is good.
If going for ranking, go for repetition.
you caught my interest from the jump, i know i can trust what you're talking about lmaooo
Amazing! This is a goldmine. Thank you so much Steven.
I put all my best stuff in here!
Hi Steven,
I LOVE THE CONTENT! I have been studying SEO from various videos you have made. Thank you for this opportunity!
Also, one Short Question:
In Phase 2, when we replace with the new keywords on the title, do we only use the exact match keywords? Or Can we make it broad or phrase?
Thank you!!!
Thank you for your Amazon SEO courses on MAG School too
You're welcome, Rodger!
I'm taking your MAG school SEO class which is great but Amazon suddenly took out the Title page on the back end on some listings so that I can't change my titles as you have suggested. Any ideas where that page went?
Hmm, will look into it!

Hey thanks for posting this very informative and useful. If I would like to update my listings SEO and by doing what you did in this video. If I change my search terms as how you did it in this video would this affect my current ranking by anychance? I believe I heard if I change title and bullet points it could affect my current ranking and I might not want to do that with the holidays coming soon. Can you advise by anychance? Thanks.
It absolutely will help your current ranking
Hi Stephen! Thanks a lot for this helpful walk-through! Just wondering, in the last section: how did inserting "mom gifts" etc work out for you - with the word "gift" generally being a word banned from titles?! Was it OK?
Not suppressed yet! You can check a hidden suppression by going to amazon and typing in the asin such as B092BH5WHF and it comes up so I'm still good! th-cam.com/video/EJk0F7b3rbE/w-d-xo.html
@@MyAmazonGuy Thanks for the reply! Wow, interesting that it worked! I wish they'd have clear lists for banned words so we knew what we're supposed to do or not...
Yes absolutely the same methodology works
Super ! thanks brother !
You're welcome 😁

Awesome job Steve, my amazon account got suspended recently, I tried appealing but I couldn't access my Amazon seller central. Is there a way to contact sellers support? If not, how do I request the money in my Amazon seller's account?

Sorry, I'm a bit confused and watched 5 times. I can't process this for some reason:
During the incremental indexing stage, when removing keywords that are already in the Title/Bullets/Description from the Search Terms and replacing them with new keywords, are we removing the indexed keywords from the Title as well, or just leaving them in the title and only replacing in the search terms?
Thanks in advance!
You can replace and make room
@@MyAmazonGuy Thanks Steven. Replace in both title and search terms, or just search terms?
