  • Found this 76 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme at a local salvage yard here in the Houston area. This car was pretty rough like most but did have the first generation Hurst Hatches (t-tops) still intact. So we spent about an hour removing them and documenting where are the hardware goes. This one also had a vinyl top which rotted the roof badly but most of the sheet metal otherwise was good. Very sad to see these 3rd Gen A Body cars decaying away to nothing.

Yes, for sure. I'm mad at myself for not getting back there in time to get more parts off of it before it got crushed.

If that T-top panel in the rear seat is from this car, this is a First design set. The Second design did not have the chrome surround molding attached to the glass. This car also never went in for the recall. If it had, it would have the second design tops in it now.

Are you going to take the TTops off ?

If you look at the last pic in the video you'll see all the t-top parts on the wagon. So yes, we purchased the t-tops and all the associated hardware.

Was this video shot recently? Because that looks like the one that was there a while back (North location) that i got two tires off of, they ended up having one that was in really good condition at the same location about a year later.

Hey, thanks for the comment. I just looked back at the original video and it appears I shot it back in December 2020. Does that sound about right?

I have one of these, a 1976 ! It's pretty beat down. Last ran in the early 2000s. Was a transmission seal problem. How much can you sell these for ?

These cars look great with T-Tops. But there are all kind of issues that come with it. Body twist, rattles, leaks, etc. I've seen these pieces sold as a set sell for $300 to $800 on some of the FB groups I follow. So the price is all over the board. Thanks for your comment.
