It still bugs me that they didn’t show blood in either of these. And yes, before someone bitches about it, I know that these shows are aimed primarily at kids and they can’t show blood. But still, showing someone receive such a major injury like getting stabbed through the back but have it be completely bloodless just makes it seem kind of silly, and it takes away the impact. And no, I don’t count those black lines that come from Rider’s back when the General pulls his sword out of her. While that is likely blood, I still don’t count it because when you cut back to the uncensored shot there’s still no blood on her clothes or on his sword. Like I said, it’s silly and it makes these serious injuries seem less serious.
Marcy’s scene makes more sense at least since the flaming sword probably cauterized the wound, like Star Wars lightsaber stabs. The unrealistic part tho is that her huge wound isn’t visible at all once she falls to the ground
@@lavalaur If that was the case, then Marcy’s clothes should also be burned. But of course they are perfectly fine. It doesn’t make sense either way, it’s just “it’s a kid show and we can’t show gore”.
All this kind of scenes are in some way good, it's about time kids learn that the world can be both magical and heartless, if you try to "protect" the children from the horrors of life then they won't be ready to face them when they grow up, and we will have to deal with another Crystal Generation that thinks they help the world by censoring everything that ofends them instead of focusing on real and scary problems

I guess it’s prob just cus they didn’t want to be too dark after all in last episodes what felt like every 5 mins the serious stuff was being hit with jokes that took you out of it Also just gonna end this comment here cus it’s rlly long sorry for that lol
@@itsjustalf7747 honestly censorship is just really stupid now a days sometimes something’s ok and other times it not with all honesty if I had kids there is a lot of stuff uncensored that I wouldn’t let them watch but the stuff the do censor is really stupid. For example what recently happened to Marcy Wu in anphibia (I’m not going to say what incase you haven’t seen it yet) I would be hesitant to let a kid watch but the scene were Marcy got stabbed wouldn’t be a concern to me (if you didn’t know Disney censored it where you don’t see the sword in her chest so there’s like a long pause of her looking down then cuts to the king saying “look what u made me do”)
I'm really wondering if humans can die in Centaurworld, *clearly* beings from it can, but we've seen Gary continue to make cakes while being a *literal skeleton*. I thought it was a joke for one episode, like "we found this cake in the room with the skeleton" but then it kept happening in S2 with confirmation that Gary was the cake maker while he was alive.
If I had a nickel for every time I got spoiled for one of my favorite characters getting stabbed, i'd have two nickels. Which isn't alot, but it's weird it happened twice. (I got spoiled for Marty's death because of a TH-cam video, and my friend told me about Rider before I started the last lullaby, so that kinda sucks.)
Don't forget that scene in steven universe where pearl got stabbed by hologram pearl but all seriousness aside I was crying at how this episode just hit us with so many feels
I honestly didn't cry because I thought they were gonna bring her back at the end. If they did end her tho and all we got was credits instead of Rider coming back? I would not be okay.
The two last episodes for season one were already dark enough, *but seeing two of my favorite characters being stabbed in two different shows is just mentally traumatizing*
This was mentally traumatizing??? for example: mc in renevered insainity In a moment of life and death, Fang Yuan quickly activated every assassin move he could, but they were all blocked or restrained by the other immortals in the Gu Heavenly Yard. Bam. There was a muffled sound, he was directly startled by Duke Long, his blood, flesh and bone shards scattered all over the place as his soul completely dissipated. He was dead. Fang Yuan was dead, the last hope was gone too. Wanna somethig really dark? not kids "dark" try for example this Dwaejiuri
The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack with weird art? scary af episode in avatar and sonic x? adventure time? The Powerpuff Girls where was experiments on little girl to modify them? Samurai jack where akhu wrecked the whole world? Catdog where was mentally illness of the mc? and many other
You know, sometimes I feel like these kids shows are mislabeled. Not because of serious plots or anything, but just because of what's in there. I remember back in 2nd grade, my school library carried all of the "Bone" comics. Bone. The comics where people got eaten, cut in half, blown up, fed to monsters, burned alive, and turned into ghosts. It was an every day thing seeing some little 7 year old kid walking down the hall with one of those comics under his arm. I miss those days. Nowadays, it's considered newsworthy when a school library carries "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid."
1940: drops safe on character 1980: only laser guns and some punches but no real death 1990-2010: show punches and guns inferred a character death 2021: straight up murder Next 2030: casual genocide
The thing with kids shows like this is that they don't treat death as a permanent thing. Sure they can make it very shocking and dramatic when they do but you fully know that they just bring that person back to life some other way.
If I had a nickel for every time a kids show had a young girl getting literally backstabbed by an authority figure she trusted who turned out to be a vilain...

Adriases sword cartelized the woond like a lightsaber
its weird cause they actually showed a lot of blood in centaurworld, but since it was black blood i guess its ok to show it
Marcie’s stab should’ve at least left a hole in the back of her cape, but nope.
Never underestimate children, they can understand things. When I was that age, I enjoyed shows with strong plot and dark undertones
I thought horse's rainbow tears would keep her alive
All this kind of scenes are in some way good, it's about time kids learn that the world can be both magical and heartless, if you try to "protect" the children from the horrors of life then they won't be ready to face them when they grow up, and we will have to deal with another Crystal Generation that thinks they help the world by censoring everything that ofends them instead of focusing on real and scary problems
Characters who got stabbed:
Pearl
Marco
Marcy
Rider
While watching(and crying) my mind imitately went to that scene from amphibia.
Also: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
i'm gonna say it, I'M GONNA SAY IT
"if you have a nickel every time a character get stabbed in 2021 I will have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice."
I almost cried when rider got stabbed by the general cause she was one of my favorite characters, I felt like I knew she was going to survive but I was also surprised since this show is for kids, if it wasn’t as child friendly there would be ALOT of gore
I am assuming for those who watched this I am pretty sure you finished Centaur World. That being said. I would've straight up rage quit the series if the next scene opened up with a grave.
Fr, I wanted Rider to be saved but with everything else that happened, I would have totally expected the show to cut to Rider's grave
I have no idea what Centaurworld is but dang did that make my heart drop
I just realized the nowhere king and Riders storyline overlap
Both get stabbed, both have songs with an ungodly amount of motifs, and both are hot I MEAN WHAT-
Seriously tho that deertaur was fine as hell
No, you're not wrong. Keep going
Kimiko Glenn: If I had a nickel for every time I played a singing, talking, magical horse in a Netflix special in the year 2021, I'd have 2 nickels. That's not a lot, but it's just weird that it happened twice.
You telling me centaurworld is not about centaurs?
Please these shows are nothing compare to Redwall (TV series)
, it was shown on PBS kids during the weekends, three season that show character's death left to right.
I literally watched both these shows. First amphibia and I just recently finished centaur world a few days ago. Both tugged my heart strings! 😢
The scene that does this for me is Marceline's original vampirification
" I can't let you do that star fox. "
- Star Wolf or whatever his name is.
Ok how did they get away showing him pull the sword out of her with the blood trailing behind it like damn
Cuz it was a silhouette when it goes back to actually looking at them there was no blood or anything not even a hole in her armor
@@stellargamer4852 (i was gonna mention about probably could get away cus it’s just a silhouette and that “oh it could just be the sword swooping”) my question is why would it need that kind of censoring like in tangled flin got stabbed and it showed bloody clothing and that was still rated pg so like??? I guess it’s prob just cus they didn’t want to be too dark after all in last episodes what felt like every 5 mins the serious stuff was being hit with jokes that took you out of it
Also just gonna end this comment here cus it’s rlly long sorry for that lol
@@itsjustalf7747 honestly censorship is just really stupid now a days sometimes something’s ok and other times it not with all honesty if I had kids there is a lot of stuff uncensored that I wouldn’t let them watch but the stuff the do censor is really stupid. For example what recently happened to Marcy Wu in anphibia (I’m not going to say what incase you haven’t seen it yet) I would be hesitant to let a kid watch but the scene were Marcy got stabbed wouldn’t be a concern to me (if you didn’t know Disney censored it where you don’t see the sword in her chest so there’s like a long pause of her looking down then cuts to the king saying “look what u made me do”)
@@stellargamer4852 I have seen it Lola d yeah it’s all just really odd
Oh my God is that season two? My body is ready
Rider being backstabbed by the general shocked me!
Is this going to be trend?!
Lots of people on the internet are worried about Amity Blight now. I mean, Belos even has some design choices in common with NWK.
It’s a trend now no matter what
@@karlthorkildson4650 OH GOD THOSE PEOPLE BETTER NOT GIVE DANA IDEAS
@@bluefang3873 Oh god Amity is probably going to die ;( because Dana doesn’t like happy endings 😰
I feel like this has been a thing since Steven Universe, though.
The sword implied the classic anime betrayal
"Why do people keep stabbing me in the back!?!"
The last lullaby hurt me…
And this is the kids content ive craved from such a young age
I still remember the way my jaw dropped when this happened. Good lord, this show's not afraid to hit you where it hurts when you least expect it to.
I cried at both of these 😭
nothing will load for me
Don't forget that scene in steven universe where pearl got stabbed by hologram pearl but all seriousness aside I was crying at how this episode just hit us with so many feels
SJJSJSJSISJSJ I KNEW THAT THE GENERAL WOULD DO SOMETHING WHEN SHE AIMED IT BUT I DIDNT THINK SHE WOULD DO THAT !!! I WAS SHOCKED
I honestly didn't cry because I thought they were gonna bring her back at the end. If they did end her tho and all we got was credits instead of Rider coming back? I would not be okay.
WTF is with creators brutally stabbing their characters in the back... LITERALLY?!
The two last episodes for season one were already dark enough, *but seeing two of my favorite characters being stabbed in two different shows is just mentally traumatizing*
This was mentally traumatizing???
for example: mc in renevered insainity
In a moment of life and death, Fang Yuan quickly activated every assassin move he could, but they were all blocked or restrained by the other immortals in the Gu Heavenly Yard.
@@moriyamakyon1067 this has the exact same energy as society cancelling you in Twitter over a joke
I rarely cry watching animes like Attack on titan but i bawled my eyes out during that one scene when rider didn't recognise horse anymore 😭😭😭
Bruh, I didn't expect Centaur world to be so dark. It's like the darkest kids show I've seen out of all of em.
How many kids shows have you seen?
The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack with weird art?
scary af episode in avatar and sonic x?
adventure time?
The Powerpuff Girls where was experiments on little girl to modify them?
Samurai jack where akhu wrecked the whole world?
Catdog where was mentally illness of the mc? and many other

@@moriyamakyon1067 yes
Invader Zim dark harvest
4 people watching her back and no one noticed a big bearded lizard? This guy must have some master level sneak skills.
I feel that pain when marce dies I start balling my eyes out it was so sad
I cant believe some just turn youtube into twitter
There are so many other ways to stop someone from doing a thing they’re focusing on than stabbing them in the back.
Yeah but stabbing someone in the back is a quick way for a writer to tell the audience that they're evil lol
5 year old me witnessed how Babar's mom was shot dead front of her son. I think this generation will be fine
Both are equally good reactions. Marci is surprised it happened, no reaction given to it but unexpected.
I’ve never watched centaur world but HOLY SH- THAT GAVE ME CHILLS
I SWEAR WHEN THE SONG STARTED PLAYING AT HER DEATH 😭
You know, sometimes I feel like these kids shows are mislabeled. Not because of serious plots or anything, but just because of what's in there. I remember back in 2nd grade, my school library carried all of the "Bone" comics. Bone. The comics where people got eaten, cut in half, blown up, fed to monsters, burned alive, and turned into ghosts. It was an every day thing seeing some little 7 year old kid walking down the hall with one of those comics under his arm.
I miss those days. Nowadays, it's considered newsworthy when a school library carries "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid."
1940: drops safe on character
1980: only laser guns and some punches but no real death
1990-2010: show punches and guns inferred a character death
2021: straight up murder
Next
2030: casual genocide
1930: Swing you Sinners
The thing with kids shows like this is that they don't treat death as a permanent thing.
Sure they can make it very shocking and dramatic when they do but you fully know that they just bring that person back to life some other way.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who saw the thumbnail and tried to remember when Katara used a bow and arrow.
I think it’s great kid shows are able to do things like this.
