I think you're making a sweeping statement. Talent can exist alongside a dedicated practice regime, but not everyone will have the same capability from doing the same amount of practice - thats where natural ability come into it. That natural ability can take any form - a better ear, more dexterity, etc. Practice does not make perfect, perfect practice does. I can practice every day, but without targeting areas that need work, I'll become a very limited guitarist, as I am today.

Hello and thanks for your kind words. :) I have several types of gear, Engl Sovereign, Mesa Triaxis + 2:90, Rocktron Prophesy etc BUT for this very video I used that tiny Korg Pandora PX4D straight into an E-MU audio card, that's all. :)
@Oilier Correction, interval between 2nd and 3rd degree in Phrigian Dominant is augmented second, not major third eventho it sounds the same. ;) Btw, there are "real" arabic scales made of mekams (1/4 tones and such) which split an octave into 17 tones and more, now that really sound arabic, Phrigian Dominant is more like YJM to my ears. :D
the melody (notes) + rythms = a new meaning to PHRASING. I've wathced this more than Vai's Tender Surrender. Very, Very cool...I'm putting it on my phone to show everyone. Cheers.
I can't really say if this was more like technique showcase but one thing is certain tho, it IS a lot harder to bring melody and feel to the audience when you're jumping between styles, all in 4 mins, agree. :) Thanks for support tho, means a lot! :)

This is the most inspired piece of music I've ever seen, when it comes to guitar playing. People always tend to see virtuous player like Muris and say they're pure showing off and no heart, but this sure is not the case. This guy is the perfect mix between melodic-harmonic composition and technical quality. I still don't get how it is that this video does not have at least 1.000.000 thumbs up! Keep Rockin' my friend!
