2005 Acura RL unresponsive center console and display

This video demonstrates the blank navigation screen issue caused by a failing pioneer DVD drive in a 2005 Acura RL. The failiure of the upper temperature and dash display is not related to the navigation screen failure.
To fix the issue, you may need to send your DVD unit into Alpine to repair.

I have an 05 Acura RL, I cleaned the DVD navigation disc in the trunk and mine started working again.

For me it was the DVD player. I sent it to Alpine and it worked fine after I got it back. It was $358 though

Riley Rinas Did you figure out how to get your Acura RL navigation fixed? I heard the problems were only with the 2005. I wonder if a used box off a slightly newer RL would be compatible and work?
