    Thanks for the quick setup demo, Josiah. The GUI seems very straightforward and well laid out.
    I'd be interested in your impressions of the SQ in comparison to using the Helix DSP once you have a chance to really dial-in your tune. I'm currently using the Helix DSP Pro Mk II processors.

    Can you run this with just a digital feed via USB port no analog inputs?

    • @JosiahBuwalda
      @JosiahBuwalda  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes this can be run primarily using a digital feed. Most of the time you can use it directly via usb with a fiio player for example.

      I've heard some exceptional systems running L3SE's tweeterless. They play pretty high.

    How can i save in default preset? When i choose default at start program this preset return to standart settings :(

    • @JosiahBuwalda
      @JosiahBuwalda  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As long as you’re linked to the dsp and go to “save preset” you can choose which preset you want to save it in.

      @@JosiahBuwalda when DSP is start, before i chose preset in list of preset, active preset is "default"? Am i right? And if i want change settings in "defaul" preset then i need do next? - Connect to DSP and chose load "default" preset, change settings and push save in curent preset? When i do this and load after again "default" preset, this show me not last saved my settings in this "default" preset, its show me again standart settings of "default" preset 😐

      @@user-zd3yp2xj9p yea I’m not sure what you’re doing. Save your settings in preset 1 and save it to device. When you do that it will always be on preset 1 unless you change it.

    What’s your experience with the Helix DSP Ultra? I’m looking into changing my DSP-Z8IVII for a HDSP-V or the Helix ultra. I know the zapco is more money.
    I’ve looked at specs and what they have to offer. I’m just looking for a opinion from someone that has hands on experience and had a chance to listen to both DSP’s at the moment I’m using 8 channels. I want a DSP that’s going to cover me for future upgrades and builds.

    • @JosiahBuwalda
      @JosiahBuwalda  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I would say the DSP Ultra may be your best bet. The software on the HdSP is quite advanced with lots of room to grow, but the stability of the Helix is the best on the market. It’s not a software you have to learn between units. Once you know the helix it’s all the same GUI with minor changes. Both sound great from a sound quality standpoint.

    How do you adjust channel gain ???

    • @JosiahBuwalda
      @JosiahBuwalda  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jon Seeley where it says output level. Call ARPA of America for more technical specifications, you can also download the manual on the Zapco website.

      @@JosiahBuwalda input gain and output level are not the same thing.....another guy did a review of this amp and said the dsp software is flawed and its missing the input gain....i tried contacting zapco.....no reply....they screwed up and they are starting to realize it

    • @JosiahBuwalda
      @JosiahBuwalda  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jon Seeley sorry you didn’t specify input or output gain. You asked for Channel Gain. Also this isn’t an amp it’s the 16ch DSP. Maybe you’re referring to the ST6xdsp? there was a channel gain issue but that has been revised. This DSP does have both input and output gains. I’d reference the manual I just downloaded on page 10, also if you look on the Zapco website the pictures show off the input gains under the cover.

    • @JosiahBuwalda
      @JosiahBuwalda  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jon Seeley everything that comes out and is new will have software issues, that’s is why they continually work on it and put out updates. There isn’t one dsp on the market that came out perfect the first go. At first yes kind of a nightmare, but it’s all being ironed out. Including that st6xdsp
