For anyone who doesn't know, "the bloop" was an incredibly loud sound heard underwater a few years ago, it is completely unknown what made the sound but it was discovered that if it was a creature that was making the noise it would have to be completely massive. Th noise was so loud that it could be heard for hundreds of kilometres in each direction. So yeah that's why the monster in subnautica is called the bloop. Pretty cool refernce.

It's mindbloggingly astonishing to think that this Gargantuan Leviathan mod came about from the remains of a massive creature found in the Lost River. Just a skull and some ribs and the mod developer dreams up this? It is beyond amazing. And even more so Unknown Worlds decided to work with the mod devs instead of going, "Yeah, but no. Stop it or it's lawyering time." I really can't wait for this mod to be released and have my caboose handed to me 1,000 times a day. Stella work. Truly.
@@endergod146 I haven't come across any creepy pasta about the Gargantuan Leviathan. Canonically the fossils found in the Lost River (as you enter from the Deep Grand Reef in the south of the map, underneath the floating island) is called the Gargantuan Fossil. The head of the creature in the mod is pretty much identical to the skull in the Lost River, and the same size as well. It's much more likely that this mod comes from the fossil, not a creepy pasta. subnautica.fandom.com/wiki/Gargantuan_Fossil
@@MaskedGEEK I think they mean the Bloop, not the Gargantuan Leviathan. I remember at one point if you were able to get under the map and go pretty far down you would hear a kind of bloop noise in a specific area and the creepy pasta rose from that.
I would LOVE if this mod team would keep expanding on this mod and perhaps develop a new The Void biome, complete with a bottom, flora, fauna, and resources. This would be a great excuse to finally put the Atlas sub into the game.

I think the bloop is a reference of a real life event, when signals picked up a noise that was bigger than any other creature ever discovered. They couldn’t identify it for years until it was later discovered that it was just an iceberg splitting

I think the bloop is a reference of a real life event, when signals picked up a noise that was bigger than any other creature ever discovered. They couldn’t identify it for years until it was later discovered that it was just an iceberg splitting
