So many people went through the Sock mod but many of us if not all of us ignored the world eating giant that appeared briefly right in front of us. It makes the garg look like a snack and there is nothing on the planet it would consider a threat. I genuinely hope there are plans to do something further with it in the future!!
Can i get some feedback on the voice command mod? It's pretty cool and i'd love to keep using it and maybe see if it can be enhanced, If enough of you are interested i'll ask if i can share it too!

Since the garg is tiny compared to it, I now realize why the garg’s eyes are on it’s side- as a prey animal would have.

The gargantuan leviathan mod was born from intense curiosity and the terror of seeing something that size. It was made with dedication and passion and took a long time to perfect. And its brilliant and feels like a genuine part of the game, just dwelling in the void. Everything else feels like it's just half assed giant monsters made for the sake of having "bigger" even though it always feels clunky and unpolished

When it comes to gigantic monstrosity of the depths nothing will ever beat the garg, but there is one thing people want, a true abomination that can never be truly seen that inhabits the void, so far all I've seen is "it's bigger than the garg so it's scary".
I think that... THING is a reference to an old Subnautica creepypasta known as "The thing in the void" where the writer dives into the void and see's a glowing green light, they fallow it only to be meat with a massive multi-eyed organism that swiftly constricts the player and drag's it into one of several mouths lining it's body.
Didn't it crash there game in the creepypasta?

At this point the modders are going to retcon it in that the entire planet is a meta-leviathan itself, these creatures just keep getting bigger.
The original concept of the void was that it was one large organism that looked just black until you got to close. At which point, it would grab you with tentacles and drag you down

The Single Cell Biome has yet to be explored.
What is that? You'd have to shrink to go to a single cell biome
@@420crim3 The cut "Single Cell Biome" was originally meant to be a void biome (the only one we'd have), and it would've been at the absolute lowest depths of the void. It would've been pitch black down there, and if you turn on the floodlights on your Cyclops, you'd agitate it. The concept art shows that the biome itself was a massive single cell organism. The Seafloor for miles around is a massive creature. When agitated by light, the art shows tendrils reaching up and grabbing the Cyclops, dragging it closer to impending doom.

a leviathan that you can swim inside, and that has specific materials or ingredients inside its belly, a great idea for the subnautica devs.
Like a symbiosis, it protects smaller creatures because they attract larger predators, or even a bottom feeder that physically can't harm you, but is large enough not to care, parasites? I think you mean tenants lol, they pay crap rent and I ignore th neighbours, like the entire crator is just one organisms hyper evolved bioluminescent lure, and it feeds off the things the ghost leviathans hide from
I mean they kinda did that as a sort of test run with the jellyfish leviathans in below zero

1. I cried laughing that he basically used Star Platinum as a gun. Getting scared in the shallows first thing out of his mouth was “star platinum“

the giant leviathan that seems to resemble a scallop more than a giant sea serpent or anything else, considering how it's eyes are placed on the inside of it's mouth, which is best seen a bit after 16:30

Naw the garg would still be sizable enough to strangle it or chew a pit through it or something. I don't think that it could eat the garg that easily.

When you spawned him in, the purple dots freaked me out because I thought those were its eyes, in and out, like tumors. I refer to 15:03 and moving forward with the fog.
The blue big "eyes" feels like they are just blind, foggy and all.
To me this feels like the beast is... part of the biome itself, the abyss, the void. It's not a big creature that moves around, it's an eldritch mass that is part of the VOID...
So I would say it would connect to a tumor, grotess like biomass deeper, and this is one of its mouth.
Remember the old concept of the VOID, with black biomass that latch onto your ship? I say the Leviathan is that but empowered by Cthulhu Steroid.

Is the Void it's own like world? Or, is the Void Part of the planet? If it's part of the planet, IM SCARED. THE PLANET CAN EAT YOU.
Why would Cthulhu be a part of it? Cthulhu is only in the mods, Lovecraftian horror isn't a part of the Subnautica world lol

Since Star Platinum is a mod, it got me thinking. I feel like Jotaro would like Subnautica, and take a pacifism approach. He's canonically a marine biologist.
Honestly the giant mouth was what I was hoping the devs would block the void with if u go WAY too far. Just u go so far the devs just say nope and this grabs u and slowly drag u into its mouth no matter what you are in.
12:55 Those could be recepters for either blood, or electrorecepters which can locate prey by the electricity they emit. Both of these can be found on sharks so its not impossible in nature, but definitely is different in the world of subnautica

If I knew how to make mods, I'd make a parody mod called the 'absurd leviathan' that is just a giant creature that eats the whole planet and gives you a game over.
Him pulling out the titan sub made me laugh, I truly don't know why but it was just funny.
The voice command mod is pretty amazing, I'm surprised voice commands aren't becoming a more common game mechanic now that voice recognition software has made so many advancements.
You could have a pokemon battle and actually command with your voice for example.
Glad the voice / star platinum mod is getting some coverage finally… was definitely the most **interesting** mod I ever made. Maybe I went a little insane.
The Lost River is just a massive, fossilized leviathan, and the juvenile Garg was it's last meal.
As cool as it is to imagine the Colossal Void Leviathan's full size, it's funny to imagine it's Langolier shaped and its basically just the mouth.

When it spawned the first time, I REALLY got chills... It was something tied to survival. My guts ached.
Eels do have nostrils, as the rely heavily on scent for locate their food, which is usually dead or weakened prey (making them scavengers, such as vultures). So the Blaza Leviathan being a excessively lengthy eel boi, it makes sense for it to have those nostrils to sniff out the corpses of dead leviathans the nibble on.
"The world. Kill everything!" Was not expected! Take my sub! Honestly wasn't sure if anyone was even touching this game anymore but the chaos continues 9 years later!
That colossus would be absolutely terrifying if even the leviathans (the terrors of the sea) is dwarfed by this colossal giant

The ocean doesn't work the same way as the surface or land. Front facing eyes aren't really needed for underwater hunting.

the design really reminded me of a scallop shell with the blue eyes between ranges of teeth and I think that may have been the inspiration of the developper when they made this creature

Ehh I think the garg is still way better. Unless they put an actual cool model for the body, it's basically just a mouth. Its just a really big pacman.

Personally i dislike just constantly adding bigger monsters. Like the gargantuan is already damn huge and really cool. Also makes more sense than a bigass fish in the void or some shit

I'd kinda want that thing to be like a giant clam, it's already got the multiple eyes around the mouth for it, and something that utterly massive would take a lot of energy to move, so to me a lure/ambush predator clam makes sense.
Also dead million and billionaires is not a tragedy, its a good start.

I imagine that the Colossal Leviathan is actually a frogfish like creature , being a slow , huge beast with illuminating eyes inside it's mouth to draw in prey that it devours. I also think that the Garg would be it's only real threat , sure , Colossal is huge , but Garg is shown to be insanely fast due to it's serpent or eel like body , and we know it's bite force would be able to break anything up to the 8th strongest material on the planet , same material found in limpet teeth. Not to mention it's shockwave roar and bio-electric nature would let is prevent the Colossal Leviathan from outright eating the Garg.
Imagine it like crocodiles and otters , an otter is fast to the point it can kill a crocodile by nibbling at the crocodile's legs until it's no longer able to move enough to defend itself , but if the crocodile gets one chomp on the otter before that happens , it's game over for the otter. It would also explain how the 2 species would even be able to survive despite being that massive , aside from maybe some decently large creatures of the void that we normally wouldn't see cuz they'd be found at the depth of the void , and both the Colossal and Gargantuan Leviathan would stop us from getting there.
Alternatively this could be either some kind of a lab created monster that got out of control and survived in the void , maybe the Kharaa bacteria infected something that ended up becoming this huge as it's body overpowered the bacteria on it's own , maybe it's a Gargantuan Leviathan that lived in ancient times , maybe I'm completely wrong about all of this.

as soon as I saw that huge leviathan I was honestly a bit scared XD. All I could say when I saw it for the first time was "What the F**k, What the F**k, What the F**k, What the F**k" XD
16:36 I think they probably designed this to be a 'boundary deterrent' like when you reach the edge of the map and a shark gets you or it reloads the game putting you in the proper direction. Just imagine going too far past the void and an automatic animation starts where your character sees that tongue (possibly meant to glow like an angler fish lure) and you're swallowed by this massive creature with unholy sound design to boot.
Modders are really gonna get to go buckwild when Subnautica 3 drops
14:58 Gargantuan is still the king to me but i liked a lot that atrocity OMG! It kinda reminded me to the Bio-Weapon in Starfox64 when you go to the Aquas world. With more work it can be a legendary leviathan in Subnautica!
I suspect the D.A.D. is using Ionic thrust, a real thing, which happens to be incredibly quiet, so it'd be perfect for stealth!

There is also the Abysal Nightmare Leviathan that you only see the tonge trying to drag you deeper and it will try to fish the Ghosts leviathans first that chases you
