I just bought the model label XP (LM2156SP) because it had the 8.3 foot pounds of power. Two years ago, I bought an Ego snow blower that has turned out to be weak when faced with deep or wet snow. That is my fault. I still have learned to love that machine. On my new Ego mower, the 8.3 foot pounds is awesome. No stress on the motor at all. My thought, less stress, longer life. My last mower, a Honda gas, lasted 25 years. It had a commercial engine. With todays labor rates; I figured fixing it could be almost half the price of buying a new mower. My previous Honda that I bought about 1978 is now mowing the lawn of my grandson's house. I am hoping this new Ego will give me 25+ years as well. I would be 105 and likely no longer mowing my own lawn... 😃
I was going to get an EGO snowblower but read many reviews that were not very favorable in the conditions you mentioned. Plus when someone posted a video while using the blower, it didn't seem to throw the snow far unless it was a lighter snow. I will wait until they make improvements and keep my Toro gas blower for now.
Spend a couple $ more and get the two stage. I have the rubber blade.. My son bought the basic model with the steel blade which throws the snow about 20% better/farther. When I lived higher up in the foothills; snows were regularly 3' to 4'. That required two stages and a lot more HP. I believe gas snowblowers have a bit more power but the electric is quieter and has less maintenance. I strongly recommend Ego battery for both mowers and snowblowers. My kids bought theirs and then spent a couple years talking me into switching. They were right.
I picked up the 2135 last year when they went on sale for the end of the season, and its the perfect mower for my yard. I can get through the whole yard in 30-40 minutes and never have to worry about the battery running out. Has no trouble getting through even overgrown patches unless its really wet, and the thing is so light, I almost never use the self propel feature. I understand the idea of the new aluminum deck, but to me that takes away the main benefit of the light weight.
Great review! I purchased the LM2156Sp about two months ago. I liked the 8.3 pounds of torque as well as the 75 minute battery life. It cuts great! I love how easy it is to adjust the height of the deck. Game changer for sure. I didn't get the aluminum deck version because it defeated the purpose of wanting a lighter lawn mower. I am 60 years old, in good shape but lifting an extra 30+ pounds in case I needed to bring it in for repairs was a bit much. Plus the lighter weight mower will be great for my wife to mow with after she kills me for finding out how much I spent on a mower. 🤣😉 I love that it came with four blades for varying purposes. It cuts nice and even. I do go a little on the slower side that may assist with the evenness throughout my yard. The battery lasts more than long enough for my sized yard which is about .28 acres. I can't get two full mowings out of it but I still have two lights left on the battery. The battery will charge in less than an hour which is great. Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase as it is a solid mower that is pretty quiet, cuts well and is easy to store upright for smaller spaces.
Wow Danny that’s mouthful but I’m glad you are happy with the mower, it’s funny, I use the lm2167sp more because of that screen but the LM2156sp has no issues and works great!
Great video Al. I have the lm2130sp. When I purchased mine as soon as it was available I didn't get the high lift blade. I love my model and it's good enough for me. If I upgrade it will be the lm2156sp. I use the high lift blade starting this season and in my opinion a way better cut and now it doesn't clogging up and shut down in high grass when I was using the mulching blade. I use the high lift blade with mulch plug installed
Hi Nathan thanks so much for your support I appreciate and Steve has mentioned you so thank you. Thanks for the information and yeah, I do believe that’s a good model the 2156sp. I do have to say, though if you don’t use self-propelled try to get your hands on 2167 SP really everything else on that mower is great including the 12 amp hour battery and that screen
I just bought that one a week ago... I have three lawns ~4500 sq ft... Love it... When I finished with the first time use; the battery was at half power... I think you will be happy if you go with it...
@@TechMadeEzy They must be afraid of traction problems. Rear wheel drive is for better traction or maybe they're afraid the battery will run down faster if the wheels continue running during turns? I would think the draw from the battery would be high with the surge from starting. Front wheel drive is easier to turn 180°. I've never heard of a 4 wheel drive walk behind mower. Is it for going up steep or wet hills?
I never was a personal fan of the speed IQ mower, i will say though, the screen to see the battery percentage is kinda cool, if I had to choose between the four mowers, imwould go with the 2020 model, the OG is just enought for me, not to much but deffinatly not lacking

Can I use all the 3 different batteries on LM2135SP or any of all the other EGO MOWERS?......................
Yes, you can use the 10ah and the 12ah
A really good overview of all the models. I certainly learned a lot out of it. Thank you for taking the time to review and posting. A job well done.
Thanks so much
My step daughter has an Ego mower. I used it and was really impressed with its cutting ability.
If you’re in the ecosystem and you have string trimmers and snowblowers and other products made by EGO, it’s pretty cool.
Great review mate , very informative
Thanks Scott

@dannyb.3924 I love the ego snow blower and I have the original 24 inch from years ago, works great still til this day

@@TechMadeEzy I actually use the self propel all the time. Thanks for your opinion. I would love to get more bigger batteries to use in my z6
Lowe’s just listed the 2156sp as having a “new lower price” of $750. Not sure if it’s a permanent reduction or a seasonal sale though!
Not bad with a 10ah battery

Any word if they have plans to come out with a front-wheel drive model?
Not yet and not mentioned, I believe they'll come out with an all-wheel drive before they do that

The Ego 22” Commercial aluminum deck mower has 14.8 ft-lbs of torque🤯
Crazy
The LM2244SP-2 will be available soon ... Many of my complains are addressed with that new model ...
What are those complaints?
