They both sound awesome. In a controlled studio setting I'd have to go with the BigSky for its lushness and slightly more musical sound. Having said that, I play exclusively in live settings (contemporary Christian worship music), and the differences between the 2 get totally lost in the house mix. In this setting the H9 has it over the BigSky because not only is the reverb so very close, but also because the H9 can do so much more. It's a complete compilation of all of Eventide's acclaimed boxes (Space, TimeFactor, PitchFactor, and ModFactor, as well as PitchFuzz, SpaceTime, Crushstation, Sculpt, UltraTap Delay, Resonator, and Compressor EQ - whew!) -- all in one compact box! I MIDI it through my Helix and create unique preset patches for our set list. It's awesome!
I've been an Eventide fan for a long time, bought an H9 and a Big Sky to play with both. The H9 went back! I hate to use 'more musical', but that seems to fit. Big Sky is definitely the one that inspires and hits my muse.
Both are nice. I'm leaning towards the Strymon though. My son has the H9 and likes the ability to control it with his iPhone, and download more algorithms.
they both sound equally great. any noticeable, subtle differences for better or for worse go bye-bye as soon as you throw them in a mix with a band. given this fact i choose the H9 because it can be (virtually) ANYTHING...not just 'verb, and do it with breathtaking sound and inspiration. H9 is a rarity in that it does so much, so well. Plus they're always adding new algorithms and updates based on user feedback so it's only going to keep getting better.
I'm running two H9's (Max plus a core that's been upgraded with all the plugins). Both are inserted into a stereo FX loop on my Helix ATM. I can use an EQ in the Helix on a block in front of my inserts to cut a little low mid frequencies which add mud (around 250-300Hz) and then add in a a little 15-16kHz to get the top end closer to the Big Sky this way. Same could be done with an EQ in one Max, but I like to use a Stereo Widener like Pete Thorn describes in one of his rig videos on one of the H9's typically. I really didn't have room on my board for the Big Sky and a Timeline, and there were dozens of other FX I needed (especially harmonizers) that the H9 had. So for me...the H9 wins due to utility/versatility. However...THAT being said. If I can make room in my rack for a pedal shelf...I might someday add the Big Sky to try because it is VERY pretty sounding with very little fuss...I'm just already super close by adding EQ's into the mix (I used this video for a reference to tune my Helix EQs in fact!), AND I'm saving on space. For even bigger irony I'm using ALL Strymon power supplies for my pedal board so they got my money anyway. =P
I admit I came here wanting the H9 to sound better, but the strymon sounds better to me in this demo. However, I'll probably go for the H9 anyway since it's more versitile and space efficient.

@@andymellor9056 I did end up buying the max. And haven’t turn back since . I’m currently just using the h9 max with the bigsky , my pedalboard got smaller
In almost every setting on this demo the Big Sky sounds fuller and more lush. Just a more musical pedal all the way around. Plus it has so many usable modes beyond the basic ones demonstrated here. I also like the more analog interface for ease of use.

+Steve Pealing I literally just did the same thing. only listening with headphones at my desk, and when I heard something that got my attention, I brought this window back up. the majority of the time, it's the Big Sky. The Eventide is pretty killer, but I have a Timeline and a Big Sky (just got it) and I'm tellin ya... I love them. so much crazy goodness in these little boxes.
A few months ago when I heard this, I wasn’t sure which one I liked better, but now I think H9. It’s also got exceptional stereo delays, a Harmonizer, modulation, chorus, compression, phaser, tremolo, and pretty much everything at exceptional quality
I wish I could afford either one! In the end I ended up with the hall of fame, mostly because I could afford it and it seems to beat the competition in its price range hands down... the tone print is also a big bonus.. haven't gotten into editing my own sounds, but there's a ton of artist prints already out there. Again, if I could afford these, I'd have both!!
I'm not sure if it's the differences between the DSP between the units or modifiers, but the Eventide sounds more close to classic Reverb tones that's straight forward, no frills. The Strymon BigSky has it's own flavor and dance on the same reverb. Personally, I like the BigSky.
I'm listening to this on a pair of $500 IEMs and I find the difference is very slight. The sound of the guitar strumming is a bit crisper, thinner and maybe a very tiny bit more sterile on the H5. The Big Sky injects (or maybe preserves) a little bit more of a juicy, richer midrange and very, very slightly softer attack. The sound of the reverb trail is a bit different between the two modules but, honestly, it's pretty close. I agree in general that the Strymon just sounds a bit more open and more expansive (IMO). If you're using this in a studio for solo work you might have a preference for one or the other but for live situations I think there's no way you could hear the difference and even less so in a band mix.
This is a most exceedingly excellent demo of these two pedals! Thank you so much. I'm speechless. We're able to see the Hall/ Plate settings being heard on the Big Sky, but aren't able to see which algorithm/ preset is being used on the H9, or maybe I just missed it. But this was excellent. H9 for me, because it not only does reverb, but also about, oh... a billion other tones as well.
Both are strong contenders and now Empress effects may have a Big Sky killer (especially since its firmware can be updated with new patches). I own an H9 Max and a Timeline but don't use reverb enough to justify a double-wide pedal. The discussion thread about which sounds more musical is funny. People love to pick teams.
I have the H9 but thinking of selling it now that I have the Boss GT-1000... 32 bit 96k and great algorithms, although you do need to tweak the presets.
How disappointing it is when you watch the video, and read through 200+ comments, and still have no clue which to get first. It is very interesting how so many ears can hear things differently. It's subjective to say which is better of course, and it comes right down to what sound the individual player is going for. They are both awesome. Too many variables to add to the equation including...style, amp, guitar, and other pedals in signal chain. Best advice is play them yourself if possible, and use your own ears. Opinions are like ***holes, and everyone has one.
Hahahaha! :D So I am sure that you have made your decision, 7 months have past since your comment but my opinion is that both have great reverb so i would buy the one that has more capabilities and functions. H9 for me
Any differences would be absolutely unnoticed in a live mix by anyone who isn't a savant. Besides the presets, Eventide offers way more for the same amount of money and less space on the pedalboard.
Both are great great! They sounds for my ears very different.. I wish to buy both😁 H9 deeper..tamed, Strymon brighter and tad thinner.. perfect marriage😊
I preferred the Big Sky because to my ears it sounds richer and fuller but perhaps that could be overcome with EQ? I would really love to compare the new Boss RV-500 to the Big Sky and see what's what with that however.
I have the big sky and trust me you’ll get some good gorgeous sessions on. On my school performance I made people cry using the big sky it’s just to soft
I like both! Spent months with both and decided on the Strymon. Although very similar (they share a common algorythm history) Any comparison is almost an emotional one. I love the Srystry as "feels" less critical and it looks prettier;) Not one listener cares.
Thanks so much, this was just what I needed to know which one to get. They both sound great! But the eventide also has delays, rotaries, and other things.
Opinion's are like arseholes - everyone's got one. Since many comments contradict each other, it seems the conclusion is that they are both superb pedals. How they sound in the full mix is what really matters. The H9 is half the size, you can control it from your phone, and it has many other algorithms to chose from (not just time based FX). I have two H9's a Timeline, BlueSky and Sunset. It was a no-brainer
Now That's how you make a video. No BS babbling on about what you're going to do. You do it, and have great audio. THANK YOU THANK YOU. Wish more YT videos were presented like this. As far as these two pedals go, I was dead set on the EVentide until I saw this video and have immediately changed my mind. Using a Prism D/A converter and listening through K701's the obvious, and shocking choice is the Strymon. Wow, that's quite the upset but a very clear winner indeed. Only reason I'd ever go for the H9 is pedalboard footprint. Otherwise, Strymon wins detail, quality and soundstage hands down.
Strymons are great Pedals, (Big Sky Included) but I don't know if I've ever been so disappointed in a company's customer service. They're good about responding via email but it still takes a long time to make any progress in tiny steps spread out over days. After quite a few emails, I requested a call so we could work out some issues real quick. They would not do so because their employees work remote. I recommended Zoom, Google Meet, routing through the office etc... but nothing. Even if I'm the idiot misunderstanding the manual (likely), for 2.5k worth of gear, you'd think Strymon would give a 10 min call to save hours of troubleshooting. So before you buy, do you value phone support? Or for that matter, does this make you think they'll go the extra mile?
Both are amazing pedals. The BigSky is a reverb pedal only, the H9 is is the Space, Timefactor, Modfactor, Pitchfactor all in one. Again both are great. I will have to go with the H9.
I love how the H9 has a tighter bass response. The BigSky seems a bit too glassy and less for giving toward the occasional pluck on a string. Both sound great, but the H9 did it for me with that factor, alone.
I do not see one being better than the other - they each have nuances that gives way to pure beauty. However, the H9 Max Harmonizer (at $662.00) (includes all 45 algorithms and associated presets from the acclaimed Eventide Stomp boxes: Space, Time Factor, Pitch Factor, and Mod factor.
I have both of these pedals, and they are both exceptional. The Big Sky is a dedicated reverb unit, and does the job as well as anything I've ever heard, studio reverbs included, simply outstanding. The H9 also has lots of different reverb options, and sounds exceptional as well, far beyond anything else out there, except the Strymon gear. There are plenty of videos out there for both, but I think it's worth noting that if you are shopping for one of the two, you might want to consider the H9 if budget concerns are a priority, as they are with most musicians. You can purchase the base model, I think it's $299 and then add the algorithms as you go, and your budget allows, for $20 each. That way you could get the essential patches required, and then add the others as you go. You can purchase the H9Max, but honestly, no matter how good the pedal, you always end up with quite a few very cool patches (fun to stand around just jamming on), but they are often not necessarily the most practical in terms of effects you would actually use in your setlist. The H9 also covers a lot of ground, whether you need a chorus, reverb, delay, phaser, flanger, etc, it's all there, and in amazing quality. And many of the presets can do multiple things, like the cool delay/reverbs in the Duck Delay (comfortably numb solo patch----wow....). This allowed me to ditch several old pedals from my board, clearing up valuable real estate, and reducing cord clutter in general. Not a knock at the Big Sky in any way, it has a permanent spot on my board---only comes off to track studio stuff, just think if you are considering the overall bang for your buck, the H9 is a hard pedal to beat. Either way you can't go wrong, these are two of the best out there, and though they aren't cheap, they are both pedals that I feel were/are well worth the money.
Was going to get the Big Sky for my new pedalboard, but then started to think about the size and weight. Researching the H9, seems to me that for the money it's way more versatile, AND the bluetooth software control is very helpful compared to the Strymon, which doesn't have that! I have used a midi program to do it on my Timeline with the USB cord, but it's just not the same. I have a Timeline and a Mobius, love them, but for the last piece of the puzzle, I think I'm going with the H9 - likely 2, since you can get a Max and a Core and essentially have 2 Max's. An awesome option. For some of these sounds, the Big Sky was slightly better to my ears, but did sometimes sound "plasticky" as one poster noted. The H9 sometimes had a "fuller" sound - but this is all dependent on the recording tool also, and I don't understand why folks always demo these with single coils - I pretty much play humbuckers exclusively and they just don't sound the same - obviously. And I rarely play totally clean, so I always want to hear these demo's with some "dirt". I get that clean demos the sounds better, but still not the same. Thanks Schnobel for doing this though, much appreciated!
hey are you gonna do comparison vids of the source audio one series pedals against the tc electronic pedals like the mercury vs the vortex and the corona vs the gemini or the shaker vs the vertigo, i really want to see which are better before i make my choices on either thanks
I accidentally came here after youtube forwarded me after an H9 demo. Honestly, in many of these A vs B demo's I can either not hear a difference or I can, until it turns into a blind test. This time however - and I"m a big Eventide fan - it became pretty clear to me, the BigSky does sound better, or perhaps it's because it's wetter than the Eventide? Both sound great but I might have opted for the BigSky here. Sorry Eventide...
The Eventide is a decent do-it-all in one box kind of thing. Which can be excellent for the amateur. It has it all, delays, reverbs, modulation, amp models... But if you get deeper into it you will find out that the functions that can be used simultaneously are limited so you will eventually end up with individual pedals for different things. That's where the strymon stuff comes in ,with every single sound engine being so detailed that uses 100% of the processor for the richest sound possible. No online account registrations, no apps, no bullshit. If you know what you want, want the best possible and have the wallet to go for it then Strymon all the way.
Just me, but I don't want something that takes up the space of 3 pedals JUST FOR REVERB. Also 90% of the reverbs demoed here are pretty useless outside of a bedroom setting. I'd prefer to have an amp with a good spring built in. But if not a good simple reverb pedal I can set and leave on one setting all night is usually the best bet. I have an H9 and the "digital conversion" stuff is true, but you can also hear it when you plug into any Strymon. It's still worth it.
They are both awesome and the eventide is more expensive and takes the place of about 100 pedals. If someone were to give you one or the other what would you choose?
+TR P h9 does everything and the strymon your hearing just does reverb. no comparing the 2 overall really. H9 smokes them all. now with pre/post and crushstation its a gig machine.
Here is my take and feel free to chime in. The H9 seems to retain more of the original tone of the guitar where the Strymon does what it does! So what I say is I need both! LOL. Just kidding. I need to pair things down. After this vid I think I'm going with the H9, even tough I think the Strymon is insane. I have the Big Sky already and HUGE Strymon fan
With your beautiful playing, I could not possibly make a choice between the two. If you know how to use both pedals intimately I believe they are uniquely similar in performance. Now that I have listened to this through my monitor speakers at a higher volume, my vote goes for the Strymon. Oddly the H9 sounds much harsher with your actual picking sounds on the strings. Just my 2 cents worth.
The H9 has a more authentic sound to it, but the Blue Sky has way more versatility. It all boils down to personal preference. These are undoubtedly the best reverb pedals on the market.
Nice vid and great audio quality! I prefer the Big Sky, it sounds more refined and the unit has better knob layout. Soundwise, in a live setting with a full band I don't think it would matter what you choose.
H9 wins for versatility, size and pricing. Big Sky wins for wider reverb sounds. The thing most people seem to forget is the H9 is jam packed with almost every eventide factor pedal. Big sky is a designated Verb pedal so obviously more will come out of Strymon. If I had to choose which to get I'd honesty go for the H9 for the sake of what else it comes with along with how it won't take up much pedal board space. But hey, if you guys wana buy Strymonds gear go for it, you'll have a kickass sounding verb rig. Just spending allot of moola.
Hey Robert, i track to Pro Tools 11, you can track to anything really like Logic, i use an Apogee Quartet interface, and i use an old sm58 mic along with a Royer 121 and i blend them together
Bit are great but H9 is capable f so much more. I didn't intend to buy the H9 because of the lack of knobs but few days ago I found a midi controller just designed and fitted for the H9. So finally I'm good to go with the H9.
The Big Sky absolutely smokes the H9 in terms of musical sound. Like the Neunaber Wet, the Big Sky adds a very unique ethereal lush sound that is so much bigger and more magical sounding. The H9 just sounds sterile to me
+GuitarCailuong H9 has delays reverbs crushstation pitch mod's plus eventides own effects and pre/post, wet/dry or stereo. its a no brainer imo all in one small box. i did a/b with both and sold all my strymon stuff.
I ordered the H9 Max Dark and it should be here Monday. I love the Strymon too and it's something that I am looking to buy. I will be playing live and I feel like the Big Sky is good for that but the H9 sounds brilliant. Cheers!
Hearing the Reverb trails only, H9 is the clear winner for me. Sounds more dreamy and pleasing. Fuller, smoother and more complex. The Strymon sounds a bit thinner and metallic. BUT, the A/D converter on H9 takes away the organic nature of the dry tone. This is where the Strymon is winning and I'd say takes the overall win. However, for me the H9 is overall winner as I run my reverb in parallel mix in one of the loop of my Musicomlab EFXMKV. If you have the means to do parallel mix on the H9, give it a go comparing to the Big Sky. Plus the H9 has all the other effects and features. Well Done Eventide (Except for the A/D converting part).
If you purchase the Big Sky, Timeline, and Mobius, it will run you $1,350 for all 3 pedals. The H9 has every sound the 3 Strymon’s have, plus distortion, plus Bluetooth, plus routing capabilities all for $700. Although I like Strymon’s and think they excel in various sound sources, the sound differences between the big sky and H9 are minuscule. For the money, versatility, and space saving on the pedalboard, you can’t go wrong with the H9...Just my 2 cents. 👌😎
I'd never heard of Strymon, however eventide is a well known company among studio rats. that big sky thingy is just what it implies, huge spacious reverbs ( reminds me of lexicon). it has nice crispy reverbs. that's it. being that eventide has a rep for elegant effects with meat under the hood,I think this was a lopsided review. the playing helped a lot, complex clean chords,uh.....sorry for the alliteration. I hate those. thank guy
In this demo I like the Strymon better, but what matters to me is what I end up with in the mix with a full band. As economics are an issue in my musical endeavors, the value of the H9 offers a lot more = winner.
With the Reverbs being fairly comparable (edge to the Strymon), id actually go with the Eventide. Its more than a Reverb, and has a few more options. that, and price point make it hard to beat. If you only need a reverb and dont mind spending the $. strymon all the way
The main argument coming from Eventide fans in favor of the H9 is that it does more (which it obviously does considering it's more of a complete effects processor). However, I'm the type of musician where I would rather have a pedal that does one thing VERY well than another which gives me too many options and too much to fuss with. I have the Big Sky and it just sounds hands down the most lush and gorgeous of any reverb pedal on the market right now. My ideal effects setup would be the Big Sky, a Neunaber chorus, a Strymon el Capistan and a tube screamer into my AC-15. I mean who really needs ALL those effects in the H9? I've never really been a fan of those effects processors that offer every effect in one box. I like having the simple control of individual stomp boxes but that's just me. They are easier to tweak on the fly whereas
Really nice demo, even though I don't usually like guitar demos. BigSky is awesome, but H9 can get into a similar territoryI with a bit of tweaking of the presets and algos. I'm just trying to rationalize it to myself as I've already ordered H9 Max ;) LOL
The dry signal on the Strymon sounds so much better, but the Eventide reverb is more complex, has more depth, and is smoother. The Big Sky, as with other Strymon pedals, sounds a little two dimensional, bright and metallic. They are similar, but the the Eventide is more dynamic tonally, whereas the Strymon reflections just always sound bright, The Eventide seems to have more modulated and diffused reverb tails, it sounds like an Eventide. The H9 dry signal kind of kills it for me. Their rack gear is amazing, though.
Both sound excellent. I'm gonna give the edge to the Eventide though because it's on the left. When in doubt, my mom always used to say, go with your penis, and since I've got a slight curve to the left, it's pointing slightly towards the Eventide.
Cause you crank it up with the right hand
If you crank it right with your left hand it will grow... ;)
"You can crank it up the right hand as much as you want, it will end up left..." Lao Tseu
lolol I bag to differ.. deffs think the strymon sounds better, especially paired with a timeline... but damn... that comment has me convinced

Pete Thorn is using two H9s on tour, one just for reverb. He can use whatever he wants, but he likes the H9 best. That is good enough for me.
SaintFredrocks he also uses a bigsky

Well said I owned both at one time but sold my three H9's... But still have the the Big Sky. That being said I miss my H9'S.
Wow, beautiful tone!! Thanks so much for the great review! God bless and peace be with you!
This the closest I’ve seen anything come to the big sky. They both sound amazing and pretty similar! Great companies!
Strymon had a analog dry though, eventide is full digital conversion
This is a most exceedingly excellent demo of these two pedals! Thank you so much. I'm speechless. We're able to see the Hall/ Plate settings being heard on the Big Sky, but aren't able to see which algorithm/ preset is being used on the H9, or maybe I just missed it. But this was excellent. H9 for me, because it not only does reverb, but also about, oh... a billion other tones as well.
I have the bigsky and love it but I really like the ipad integration of the H9 makes it far more versatile all around.
H9 for me
I totally solved the problem. I bought an H9 Max, and H9 Core, AND the Big Sky. That should about do it.
:DDDD
Get BigSky
I just bought both
Any differences would be absolutely unnoticed in a live mix by anyone who isn't a savant. Besides the presets, Eventide offers way more for the same amount of money and less space on the pedalboard.
Both are great great! They sounds for my ears very different.. I wish to buy both😁 H9 deeper..tamed, Strymon brighter and tad thinner.. perfect marriage😊
I prefer Big Sky for reverb ... but I have both, they complement each other as a match made in heaven, always ON with my acoustic.
I preferred the Big Sky because to my ears it sounds richer and fuller but perhaps that could be overcome with EQ? I would really love to compare the new Boss RV-500 to the Big Sky and see what's what with that however.
Hi awesome video! I assume h9 Max would be able to pull off "Knife Drop" from h90 completely since it has HotSawz?
I have the big sky and trust me you’ll get some good gorgeous sessions on. On my school performance I made people cry using the big sky it’s just to soft
If you hit them with that bulky pedal they'll cry for sure
I love both.. I have both! Never letting either one go! They will go to the grave with me.. haha..
They both sound amazing!
In a band setting there is no difference that people can notice. The H9 covers far more ground.
OMG Strymon makes the most amazing pedals! Oh your good too Eventide...
Both are amazing pedals. The BigSky is a reverb pedal only, the H9 is is the Space, Timefactor, Modfactor, Pitchfactor all in one. Again both are great. I will have to go with the H9.
michael jordan and kobe bryant of reverbs
Koby is a copy of MJ without his achievements...
Hi. Nice demo! It convinced me to buy a H9. Can you tell me please what was the preset (or settings) on The H9 that you used in this video?
H9 preset was on Hall
I love how the H9 has a tighter bass response. The BigSky seems a bit too glassy and less for giving toward the occasional pluck on a string. Both sound great, but the H9 did it for me with that factor, alone.
I do not see one being better than the other - they each have nuances that gives way to pure beauty. However, the H9 Max Harmonizer (at $662.00) (includes all 45 algorithms and associated presets from the acclaimed Eventide Stomp boxes: Space, Time Factor, Pitch Factor, and Mod factor.
+srvrip41
Toss in the Harmonizer (sounds like strings) and wow. For the extra $200 or so dollars you get lots of combinations with the Max.
Shnobel: showing how pedal comparisons should be made since immemorial times. GJob
Thanks Schnobel for doing this though, much appreciated!
any ''cloud'' setting on eventide? anything like an big washy reverb, i want that :D help
hey are you gonna do comparison vids of the source audio one series pedals against the tc electronic pedals like the mercury vs the vortex and the corona vs the gemini or the shaker vs the vertigo, i really want to see which are better before i make my choices on either thanks
Could you explain the settings on the H9 I noticed there not a specific preset?
Jeez the Big Sky is another level. I have a bunch of H9s and the verbs are just so wonky to my ear.
Look at the tc hof. It's great and small
That's why I think it's kind of ridiculous to compare the two since The Eventide has everything thing.
+Folkano H9 sets with ipad easy cheesy no brainer imo much better than strymon stuff. H9 does everything not just reverb.
+rick jones is rather have a pedal that does one thing and sounds really good, than a pedal that does it all at the expense of sound quality.
Hey Roman what DAW do you use to track your guitar amp? What kind of mic are you using? I'd love some tips!
Hey Robert, i track to Pro Tools 11, you can track to anything really like Logic, i use an Apogee Quartet interface, and i use an old sm58 mic along with a Royer 121 and i blend them together
+shnobel Thanks Roman! I hope to see you at Winter NAMM! God bless!
I’m going with what EJ would pick.
The H9 just sounds sterile to me
All you are hearing is more mids eq-ed into the reverb. The H9 is cleaner sounding overall.
they both sound fantastic!
Both sound great. To my ears the Bigsky is more organic, H9 is more versatile (delay/verb/mod in a box).
+GuitarCailuong H9 has delays reverbs crushstation pitch mod's plus eventides own effects and pre/post, wet/dry or stereo. its a no brainer imo all in one small box. i did a/b with both and sold all my strymon stuff.
Yeah I sold my Strymons and bought a H9. Never look back.
I ordered the H9 Max Dark and it should be here Monday. I love the Strymon too and it's something that I am looking to buy. I will be playing live and I feel like the Big Sky is good for that but the H9 sounds brilliant. Cheers!
H9 its more deep, real & better from me, but the BS its a grate grate pedal
does it grate or is it great? ;)
So the Eventide H9 Max has all these presets in it too right?
Even more presets to come, been reading the opinions above and H9 is the real deal in my humble opinion!!
What algorithm are u using on the h9?
Hello Roman, can you tell me what fender strat are you using? Thanks from Argentina!
It's a 2006 Eric Johnson fender Stratocaster, all stock
I think the strymon sounds better, especially paired with a timeline!
Hi Roman! What is the H9's algorithms used? Room and Plate?
thanks! :)
Witch one is better?
I've been waiting for this, thanks.
Everybody will love you when you make a video with 5 min about bigsky
bigsky has 12 modes
So 12 video with 5 min about all modes
+Rogerio oliveira pereira why waste 5 min of everyone's time? just get a H9 and be done with it. 12 modes..lol H9 has more to offer than that.
The full versión of H9 has more than 44 modes already...
Thanks for making this vid!
I hate those. thank guy
its like the strymon seem narrow, the h9 just sounds like its filling up a lot of space making it sound wider
Hey how would you describe the first delay he uses? How could I get that?
2 h9s as you get more flexibility. Both sound awesome.
In this demo I like the Strymon better, but what matters to me is what I end up with in the mix with a full band. As economics are an issue in my musical endeavors, the value of the H9 offers a lot more = winner.
Anyone willing to help out? Not sure whether to get the big sky or eventide space
+CDMC1404 H9
They are easier to tweak on the fly whereas
difference is that each effect algorithms top notch h9
Their rack gear is amazing, though.
both please
strymon for reverb
eventide for delay
I prefer h9 but strymon has also good sound!!
I like it that the big sky gives a denser reverb than h9
Eventide wins here for me in this demo. Sounds much more dynamic. The Strymon is nice but it sounds a little sterile to me.
