For all those who are curious about the kickdrum used in this track. This track technically falls under the hardstyle genre. Known for it's fat and heavy sound. Along with the long tail on the kick, which produces the bass. Yes, the kick and bass are one and the same. This specific kick is what's referred to as a "gated kick", as the kick itself doesn't have much of a note, mostly just kick and bass. There is a slight distortion to it, which gives it that slight bouncy, springy sound. Now go forth, and use this knowledge to find new music, and maybe find passion for a genre you wouldn't have looked twice at.
You could also argue that this falls under the techno genre, gated kicks were also used in industrial techno, and both the percussion and speed fit more into that idea (most of hardstyle don't even surpass 150BPM)

This theme is so anxiety-inducing that it could definitely fit for either Tetris 99, PAC-MAN 99 (rip) or the upcoming PAC-MAN Mega Tunnel Battle when there's only 10 players left

Both this version of the game, and the NAMCO MUSEUM ARCADE PAC on the same system which includes this game on it, tend to go on sale on the Nintendo eShop fairly often. I'd recommend it, personally, but you definitely gotta be a score hunter to get the most out of it.
