Torch Lake is unfortunately on the other side of Lake Michigan from my property, and after the 1100 mile trip up to Wisconsin, the 375 miles to Torch Lake makes it pretty much out of reach for me. I suppose I could go home to Georgia by first driving northeast to take me over the top of Lake Michigan, but right now I can do the 1100 mile drive home straight in 17 hours, no way could I drive the extra 7 hours without staying overnight somewhere.

It might be a little bit cold. The warmest it gets in summer is like 10 degrees due to the lake beeing at hight of almost 1.800 meters and due to the glacier meltwater feeding it. Its very popuplar place to go kite surfing also.
The lakes name is Silverplanasee and it is located in switzerland close to St. Moritz.
