for those wondering ben says "isnt there a thing that lets arc boys shoot up" @29:34 and there is. There is a whole tech tree you can unlock giving units something like 8-10 different upgrades to choose from, but a unit can only equip 4 of them at a time. So if he wanted them to shoot up he would first have to unlock the tech, then swap out one of the current upgrades he has for the ARCs for the Anti-Air upgrade. Its actaully a really good system as it means that even if you see the same units over and over again, you never quite sure what upgrades and abilities they have access to.
bens confusion at tom for seeing what he was doing gave me a realization i hadn't had in 60 hours that this particular mechanic is a core reason for this games success! its such a minor but ingenious detail! as it kinda gives you something to do when you end your turn early and watching your opponent play can be fun ,seeing how they place things can give you insight which is hardly a benefit but gives you something to do and talk about which is the important part, in a lot of games you just end turn sit and wait for 30 seconds tab out look at your phone because literally nothing is happening on screen. bottom line really good design by mechabellum love this game.
Love how they kept mirroring each other, with picking the same upgrades, the same units, and putting them in similar places. Really goes to show they truly do share one brain cell

@@korenn9381 Eh, that kind of ruins a lot of the strategy in Mechabellum, since "how much" you win each round by is really really important (like, you can win 5 dinky rounds and still lose the game with a couple really beefy losses)

Tom, you have 18 tech points! Spend them! You need to buy the other techs and switch them out for the default loadouts per unit. Also new update has changed some things since this video was made; can't buy nukes now, there's a new specialist and balance changes all-round. Elite specialist might be more viable now, but remains to be seen.
I was thinking about how in basketball horse you have to call shots. What if the round loser gets to decide what unit the other unlocks (and they have to unlock it)?

Yeah maybe like PIG with whole matches might work better
They could do one letter for every 1000 points as each start is usually over 4000 points.
Tom could create a game with way more hitpoints, so that there's a much better chance to get horse

You guys really gotta do the custom gamemode with 50k HP so you actually can loose 5 times without reaching 0 HP before.
