Madcap became a Ghost Rider villain after a run in with him resulted in Ghost Rider using his penance stare on him. It worked like it was supposed to, causing him to feel the agony he inflicted on others. What Ghost Rider couldn't have predicted was that Madcap would be HAPPY about it. It was the first real sensation he's had since he gained his powers. Madcap vowed to keep hurting people if it meant he could experience that again.
@Damien Momed Actually, his first appearance was in Nomad...which was an identity Steve Rogers made up but gave to a guy named Jack Monroe later. I don't think Cap has ever fought Madcap.
I first discovered him as a character in the 1986 Marvel Super Heroes tabletop RPG game - which I later realized was only months after his debut in Captain America. That inclusion in the game made me think he’d be a bigger character than he ended up being. I did like him in his early appearances, like the Nomad and She-Hulk stories mentioned in the video, and others with Daredevil and Power Pack. He was fun back then, insane but not malicious. Then the edgy 90s came, and his appearance in Ghost Rider changed his direction. He somehow gained a gruesome looking face, and his life philosophy got darker, like death and destruction were part of his plan, instead of the by-products of NOT having a plan. Some additional entanglements with Ghost Rider and Wolverine kinda cemented this ghoulish version. I was amazed when that Deadpool annual introduced him as the third voice in Wade’s head, but his appearances since then haven’t wowed me. I guess I just never liked making him a purposeful villain. 🤷🏽♂️
More like he was rarely used already and got spotlight because of his storyline with Deadpool so l except to see him more sooner or later. Also isn't he like one of the main villians of that Deadpool run? I remember he got more than few appearances.
I was certain Madcap predated Deadpool.... Update, yup, I was correct, I never really thought of him as a Deadpool villain specifically; if anything, his fixation on Ghost Rider is more relevant. There's more actual story reason for the GR/MC rivalry.
If a Marvel writer has a good DC's Joker story in mind, one character he can use instead at Marvel's Mad Cap. I've wondered how he would do against either the Impossible man or the Mask.
The Power Pack (classic) encountered Madcap, though they didn’t defeat him, they did stop his rampage of madness of innocents as well as resisted him. Perhaps pre-teens infused with Kymelian powers are immune to his mad gaze.
What makes Madcap truly and utterly horrifying is how unpredictably maddening he is. His pure motive for his evildoings is based on complete sadistic nihilism, where he takes joy out of driving people insane to the brink of death, simply because he sees everything as meaningless. He only lives for pain, because he cannot feel any. Truly, a twisted villain
Madcap got me in trouble in school. He was in a Daredevil comic. He was trapped in a building that was on fire. He started singing "Raibdrops keep falling on my head",only he replaced " raindrops" with "fireballs". When I read the lyric "Raindrops keep falling on my head, but that don't mean that I'm going to wind up dead" I started lauging out loud in class. My teacher busted my ass.

nemesis of Deadpool ... and yet we didn't seen him in freaking 3 Deadpool movies, nor Dracula, Shiklah, Mercs for Hire (heroes') Madcap+Terror+Stinger+SlapStick+Solo+Masacre best boys
This character is simply another version of the evil trickster archetype. Seems like a cheaper budget version too. I think the most famous one is the Joker. Its that same toothy smile. Each comic book company has at least one or more introduced over the years hoping it will become popular. Evil Ernie is another example. I think Ernie is from Dark Horse comics.
Well, he stole the costume for starters. I suppose you could call his use of his powers an incitement of a mob. Reckless endangerment. Assault and battery.

And later he became a big Deadpool villain. I remember him fighting him in the old Heroes From Hire series as well.
Thank you I was wondering if he would feel the burning of his soul

Pure insanity
Madcap should be the main villain of "Deadpool 3" and Jim Carrey should play him...it could be Jim's final role, and in my opinion, a really good one.
It would be like Deadpool vs. the Mask but the Mask is the villain.
Jim Carrey doesn't approve of violent movies and turns down roles to be in them, apparently.
@@exquisitecorpse__ what about "Kick Ass 2"???
@@errickray5420 Hated being in it. I dont know why he took the role since he disavowed it completely and he didn't want his name in the credits.
@@exquisitecorpse__ he still did it tho...

Thanks for introducing me to this guy.
Is Madcap even around anymore? I know after he got split from Deadpool for awhile he had a few appearances but like....he's never used anymore is he?
I wish he was. I would put him against other heroes like Wolverine, The Punisher, Hulk and Spider Man.
More like he was rarely used already and got spotlight because of his storyline with Deadpool so l except to see him more sooner or later. Also isn't he like one of the main villians of that Deadpool run? I remember he got more than few appearances.
I can not believe I have never heard of this guy??? Good story line and video. Thanks and god bless.

I really rock with this channel!

Vince Vaughn’s should play him in deadpool 3 or Deadpool 4
Deadpool needs a toonami run or late night show imagine madcap getting the credit he deserves.
And terror, solo, stingray, slapstick Foolkiller, Massacre and hydra agent bob
Madcap reminds me of the Mask in a psychotic way.
They’ve been in a comic together
Train Heartnet needs a video, one of the best yet most underrated anime characters/anti heroes
Black Cat? In 2022? A surprise to be sure but a welcome one.

I see the difference between the two, but I think Madcap and Joker would have a mutually fun partnership together.
Madcap, Terror, Stingray, Solo, Massacre, Foolkiller, slapstick and agent Bob are great dead pool characters and should be in the third movie for sure

Poor Bob, I remember having that comic
Virtually impervious to physical damage? Causes insanity in people? He is comparable to Mr. Nobody from DC
nemesis of Deadpool ... and yet we didn't seen him in freaking 3 Deadpool movies, nor Dracula, Shiklah, Mercs for Hire (heroes')
Madcap+Terror+Stinger+SlapStick+Solo+Masacre best boys
Should have been in Deadpool 3
Favorite marvel character of all time.
Has Madcap vs Squirrel Girl happened yet?
Madcap is basically Deadpool and Lavender Man in one.
I think that it’s Mark GRUENWALD (As in GROON!)!
For an April fools joke you guys should start a video with " we have one small favor to ask you, read all the comics" and then just end the video
Been waiting for this one since slapstick
Let’s do one for Fool Killer.
Mcu should give a justice to this character.
He is more dangerous than Purple man.
Is Nomad the Cap America?
This guy is Kofuku as a gijinka.

Exactly what crime has been committed?

make for marvel blaasatar
Horrible narrator
Stop stop with the British voices.
I don't think she can help how her native accent sounds. Maybe you should stop with the American ignorance.
