I buy instant coffee sticks cost me $1 for 6. I take pictures of my receipts and it gives me cash backs The bank where I work we have what we call “round up” which everytime i use my debit card it will round up to the nearest dollar and goes back to my savings If u dont need a new car dont buy one repair what u have. Call your car insurance ask for discount. Sometimes paying your insurance in full saves you $10 per month which ads up to $60-120. Just use your old phone and not upgrading it. Dont do the lease phone. Thats like $20-40 a month you will save monthly if you own your own phone. I spent most of my money on getting in shape due to i dont want to go through doctors and have medical bills and feeling sick all the time. I used to be in this situation sick every 2-3 months but once I started taking care of myself its been a year since the last time i got sick
We don't spend $ on things we don't need unless it's a special occasion like an anniversary or Christmas. That one thing alone saves us a ton of money.
I only eat once a day for the vast majority of days out of the year. Not sure how much it saves me a year in groceries but I'm sure it's a lot. And since I do healthy version of keto running my body on fat, I'm usually not hungry.
The biggest issue is that hit of dopamine our body gets when we buy food or something we want. I’ve found that whenever I want to buy something, I instantly transfer the amount of that item into my savings and it seemingly gives me that dopamine!
Ooo thats an interesting way to get around it! I'm pissed I spent £4 at the corner shop today and came out with 4 things when I went in for 1. Was doing so well yesterday at not spending lol
I always have tea bags in my purse and when I feel like having a hot drink, I just go into the coffee shop and ask for a hot water and say that I don’t mind paying for the paper cup. I started doing this years ago when I was travelling because I didn’t trust hotels or airports to have my favourite Thyphoo brand tea, but I started doing it all the time and it’s probably saved me so much money. I also always try to have an apple or some almonds in my purse so that I’m not tempted to get an over priced snack when I am out and about or cave and get some fries or a cheeseburger!
I rarely eat out but I do tip for table service. Good service deserves a good tip, especially when they go the extra mile. Restaurant workers could be doing a much easier job for their minimum wage and it's a way to show gratitude. Makes me feel good to do it. My daughter is a server and I've seen her tip 100% to other service workers who are overwhelmed and having a stressful day, she knows how it is.
That's wild. I think I have tipped maybe a handful of times in my entire adult life. But in Germany it's polite, but rarely asked or pushed for. I can definitely understand, but I wouldn't tip someone for doing their job unless they went above and beyond. We are all working hard and stressed a lot of the time so
A retired bookkeeper I know told me her grocery bill is the same as two years ago….she cut back on meat. She occasionally eats chicken or fish, no beef or pork! We are vegetarians at our house and our grocery bill has not gone up in the past two years, either. We eat lentils, dry and canned beans , peanut butter for protein.
I bring cup ramen for lunch at work (buy in bulk, too) (used to be 32 cents, now 50 cents, ;A;) and find free PDFs of books I want to read online! My mom put the $5-6 my Dad USED to spend on lunch at work (she made sandwiches with chips for him instead) in a bank account, and after 10 years, they had $18k saved! We used it for 3 different family vacations, including the Disney Cruise/Disney World/Universal Studios Florida! SO cool! LOVE saving money!
I got a few packs of washable cloths for cleaning and hand towels last year and have never looked back. I’m tackling bottle water right now. Great tips! I have also had the same pair of sunglasses for 15 years.
For me it is not owning a car that saves me a ton of money per year!!! I run all my errands with the local bus, and I am just fine, despite people telling me that i need a car... plus I don't need a gym, because I do a lot of walking. Saving money and staying fit... what else do you want?😂
I own two 7000$ cars and a 5000$ quad. That's the luxury I indulge myself :) But I often take the bus. Nevertheless still "high" fix costs. But as I said, I am aware of that. But you are completely right. Someone who doesn't really need a car and needs to save money, get rid of it! A car costs a lot of money once you realise for yourself all the running costs it provokes.
Depends where you are. If you live in an urban area with good public transportation, then a car is a luxury (or a pain). But if you live in a spread out suburbia or rural area, then a car is a necessity.
Nope. Meat is the most nutrient-dense food on the planet. And if you are falling for that brainwashing that red meat is “bad” you are a low-level thinker. 👌
I have ZERO issues hitting no tip, at a place I have to walk to, walk up, stand in line, and they do their job. Have an issue with it, I dont give a crap. As well, before I even watched this video, I do all this already
That water bottle tip hit home. I spend so much on it, I am going to invest in 2 double walled tumblers and save my money and my back from lifting those heavy cases.
I've come to realize that the key to amassing wealth lies in making sound investments. I purchased my first home at the age of 21 for $87,000 and sold it for $197,000. My second home, acquired for $170,000, was later sold for $320,000, and my third property, purchased at $300,000, fetched $589,000, with buyers covering all closing costs and expenses. Not reaching a million before retirement feels like an unfulfilled goal.

I personally wouldn't do this with my main home. I want my main home PAID OFF for financial security reasons. Therefore, I bought a nice, smaller home and paid it off in a year's time. I have a friend who lost his job with a home that costs over 3X what I paid. . . and now he's in MAJOR financial jeopardy.
I've never had internet service because it's $80 a month on average. I love the idea of using the library for books I do that all the time for myself. Drop your gym membership. you don't need. go for 2 walks a day, 6 days of the week in your neighborhood it's plenty to keep you in shape
Don't forget, everyone reading this also has a plethora of free workout videos at their fingertips for rainy days, from intense muscle building to bedtime yoga routines.
Our public library is a treasure with the information available, but also because there is a "library of things" from where you can borrow various thing: a food dehydrator, a steam juicer, outdoor games, a guitar, even a rake and a shovel! Thank you for all the great videos, Austin!
How about skipping the expensive coffee and making it at home? You’ll save a lot more. Skip the gym and work out at home. Walk, jog, ride a bike. Lots of parks have free exercise equipment too. Too many people purchase gym memberships and don’t use them.
AYE-men!! I do make and enjoy mine at home. It's worth investing in the things you'd need if you enjoy Starbucks type coffee (I'm ordering a coffee machine and a frother and teach myself how to make the specialty drinks). And I do workout at home as well as walk... it all makes a big difference.
If there’s a service on the table I always leave tips, but most of the times I see people asking for tips when I just grab my food to eat at home. In this case I never give tips. I stopped using paper towels long ago and after spending a lot of money buying sun glasses, I just ended up getting a glasses box. Small things that make a huge different at the end of the year.
I love the tip screen,,, so I could say no. Flea market yesterday. Now the vendors have tip jars out. I bust my but in a grocery store no one gives me any flipping tip... Not even allowed to accept them 💰 These tip jars is just another way to beg, pick your pocket...
Exactly! If I go buy a pastry in the bakery section of a grocery store, no tip machine. If I go buy a pastry in a coffee shop/donut shop, they flip over a tip screen....NO, JUST NO.
I buy 5 cases of water as a hurricane supply and I buy that at BOGO prices. I use Brita filter and carry my water with me all day every day. I love physical books but have been reading ebooks and e audio rather than burning gas to go to the library. When only a physical book is alternative I wait till I'm in the area to borrow it. He in north of Tampa area during 9 months of year our water is at least lukewarm so I use tap water for washing. My clothes are never that dirty anymore.
I used to use paper towels for Bacon in the microwave but I found it too hard to separate from the Bacon and too much lint remained on Bacon too. I switched to thin dish towels which last a long time. Then just run through my laundry to be good as new.
I understand what you say about not using plastic bottles, but I do recycle them. I purchase a certain amount of water a month, let the plastic pile and take them to a recycler. I walk with twenty bottles in tow (I live in NY) and collect my dollar. It goes into a special cash purse and when enough accumulates I go to the bank and place it in savings. That way I know it won't be touched. I do want to thank you for the wisdom you have on saving money.
I bought a watch 4 years ago for $250 I still wear it. I bought Adidas Yeezy’s 4 years ago for $500. Still wear them and get compliments lol Expensive on the surface but lasted for years and is still going.
Hell yes! These ppl think they deserve a tip for making a cup of coffee or a sandwich? and that is their job! Give me a break! Everyone wants money for simply doing their job. I work in healthcare and cater to ungrateful ppl? Where is my tip?
right?!?!! same. where is mY tip? those coffee and sandwich makers literally making sick-people food & getting tipped, we're here trying to nurse them back into health & get shit. nO thank you. Imma go on a strike if this freakin continues, and start mY own business REJECTING all of The ingrates that I want 😃
Augustin why are you not using the rags for cleaning your bathroom. I always do. I’ve cut way back on paper towel as I use to use them for napkins but now I’m using microfibre clothes for napkins. The only time I use them now is for wiping out big messes in my pans, grease.
I’m over paper towel guilt. I have a puppy and toilet paper or paper towel quarters are huge helps. I have used cloth napkins for 40+ years. When their time comes, they move to ragville. My use of paper is minimal and will stay that way. Big wins come from eliminating food waste, composting, limiting meat, and careful monitoring of my frig, leftovers, and portions. I thrift most of my clothing and buy used often. Rarely will buy a coffee outside home. Plan my car use, save by limiting my shopping visits and working a circuit for them, errands, and recreation beyond my immediate neighborhood. For most of us, the small leaks can sink our ships.
I dont eat out because i got sick and tired of having my meal messed up and too afraid of spit to send it back, drink wrong or salty server and still expect tip. Havent bought papertowls or waterbottles in years. Dont Pay for wifi, its an extra that i dont need (rent movies free from the library).
My monthly expenses are only $532 / month. I already live a simple and frugal lifestyle. If I implement these money saving hacks I'll be living for free.
@@davidtaylor8645 took time to built my own 2200 sq ft house step by step so it would be paid for as I'm building it. Its in rural Tenn so property taxes are only $497 / year. Avoid debt like the plague to keep from living paycheck to paycheck..
9:30 I just started doing this myself, I go to Aldis, get some pound of Turkey/Ham, BBQ Chips some Cheese, and Bread all for about 10$ and that usually lasts me for most of the week.
Great ideas! Oh, but the paper towels...they are the bane of my existence! I have 4 cats and with the cleaning of the litter boxes and the throw up (a thing with cats) no wash rag is going to do it. And then do I want that rag in my washer with my other clothes? And the additional water costs of constantly doing laundry?
I get old clothes from thrift shops and cut them up. I use them for the yucky jobs and toss. Other rags for dusting and wiping up minorstuff i use cheap washcloths from walmart. I let the dirty ones accumulate and wash them in just that load😊
Lots are different over the pond it seems…Most people here in England have their own bottle of water to take out with them.. so much waste otherwise. Also I drink tap water but dilute it with cordial like Ribena…who cleans with paper towels? we use cloths, we also don’t have tip culture here..we just pay and go. That’s one thing I’m trying to go shop less.. food here goes off quick so have to go more often.i pay about £8.00 a month for my mobile phone internet service.
Im 70 now n in my entire life we Never once ate at s restaurant. And as for ice cream Dad always said we have ice cream at home. He was very frugal but from age 6 on he drank more n more beer and when he retired he drank avg 25 beers dayfor 12 years. He neglected house maintenance n paying bills. SAD
I’ve been using a bit of paper towel wrapped around produce and then put in bag or container. It has made such a difference on how much longer the produce lasts and less waste.
Fun fact. Most restaurants have found that they can legally get away with only paying $2.13 an hour and your paying the rest of the minimum $7.25 required. Don't assume that every barista is making double what you did.
Those water filters aren’t cheap and have to be replaced every 3mos. They also don’t actually do much besides reduce the taste of chlorine. But tap water is usually totally safe. They send you a water quality report in the mail every year or so and you can also have it tested.
I do almost all these but instead of using cash to avoid tips at coffee shops, hit no tip and pay with your cash back card to get paid 2% back. Or make your own coffee, even better. Like the content 👌🏻
The baristas do not have the entitlement. The problem is the establishment choosimg not to pay a living wage and making the public make up for it. Also, you dont need to tip 30%, tip 15. Or nothing if youre that cheap.
I can proudly say that I was actively aware of all your suggestions. They are indeed painless ways to save. Knowledge is power. Thank You! I went meatless years ago so imagine my savings. : )
I absolutely Hate those tipping machines!!😡 it literally has stopped me from eating out or going to take out places.. same with bars! How many times do we need to tip for a beer? Back in the day when you went out drinking at a bar, you tipped the bartender well for the first drink then you were good for the night and the bartender took care of you for the night.
Im doing no groceries shopping lately .. . I just dont have the cash after paying my rent & phone & insurance... i just buy 1 or 2 things when i ran out of something... im doing a new diet..i only have 2 proteins a day & vegetables... & water.. i love my soda streamer... i dont buy water bottles...i have a brita in my frig..
You know what, Cindy, I literally just realized I can get away with doing this… I’m taking your comment as a sign to officially go through with this! Thank you for validating me!!!! ❤
Have to disagree with this 1 thing. Don’t cut out meat. You should know this. The food Industry and big pharma has been making you and ur loves ones I’ll and dependant for years. Cut out the processed food and eat whole food. Eat Unprocessed food. Pay whatever u have to as health is more important. Paying more in the long run and short ur life is bad. Also skip breakfast. How long the lie that you must have breakfast. I don’t take or buy food. I work from 7am to 2pm and eat nothing and don’t feel hungry. look into fasting and eating at set times. Consume whole food in a 4/6 hr window. Watch the weight drop off and watch the idiots addicted to food and times they must eat even when they are not hungry. It’s their body saying to them this is when u unusually eat. It’s Time to eat. You must eat…….If you’re not part of the 1% don’t get a cash back credit card. Ur not smarter than any credit card provider that spends millions on marketing every month. Watch David Ramsey and learn about money and spending. Best advise you will ever get.
I agree buy a modem. It pointless to continually pay to rent when you know you're always going to need the modem. You might as well buy your own and stop stuffing your ISP's pockets.
Love these hack videos. I almost never eat meals that are centered around meat, but rather meals where meat is one ingredient among many. It helps me eat a more varied diet and one that is much less expensive. I am grateful never to have developed a soda habit. I might have a root beer with a slice of pizza, but that's probably once a year if that. Kombucha, on the other hand, is a guilty -- and very expensive -- pleasure. Thanks for these excellent tips, Austin!
Thanks! I've been trying to make "how to" applicable videos and people (and the algorithm) seem to like them. If you have any requests or ideas, let me know! Always thinking of new ideas!!!! I try my hardest to never be too repetitive!
@ElAgustin thank you for doing this kind of video. I watches your video almost every day while cooking or qhen I am driving. It helps me alot. I like how you touches the topic of money hackers and yhe frugality of life that people should be aware of. Thank you agustin for making this video and plz continue doing this. Plz be safe as always.
instead of going to the gym and paying 50+ dollars a month, work out at home. i have gotten in better shape without going to the gym with just an adjustable dumbbell set, bodyweight exercises, and running.
Great tips! I do all of them already. Paper towels are a complete waste of money, not to mention terrible for our environment. I use old rags for everything and wash them in a separate load. The energy and water used to cut down trees and turn them into paper towels is a thousand times worse than the cost of washing a few rags. I also buy my food in bulk, and bring my reusable containers. Packaging is not only wasteful and bad for the environment, it costs a lot of money and you are paying for it when you buy it. I have saved 15-20% in food costs! By the way, plastic water bottles contain micro plastics so when drink from those single use bottles, you are drinking plastic. Ick! Another reason to avoid bottled water, Loved this video! ❤❤❤
I've been using a safety razor for years and that saves me a lot of money. 7 to 10 cents per razor and i mean quality razors that i use 3-4 times on average.
the tipping thing depends where you live and if you know the employees are fairly paid. im happy to spend a few hundred a year to some of the lowest paid people.
I buy water, but I'm beginning to get worried about the health of using plastic bottles as plastic can release chemicals that cause cancer when warm. Well, these bottles may get hot in hot weather on lorries, or even in shops. or your bag. So, maybe a glass or stainless steel bottle would be best. Save health as well as money.
You don’t need paper towels for ur bacon. First, I’m assuming ur bacon is free of nitrates and of good quality it’s ok to not drain that grease ur body will love it
People go through sunglasses that quick?! Only time I buy sunglasses is when mine brake or I go on vacation and forget to bring mine. That’s crazy people buy 4 pairs a year I’m rocking some from like 2018 dude
Life hack. When your barista turns around the tablet to make you pay a tip hold your hand up to your chin like you're thinking what to give them and then having your index finger and your thumb out act like you're going to press 15% on the screen but with your thumb press no tip and no receipt.
When talking about modems and routers, you left out the VERY important fact that if you bring your own equipment, your internet company will not help you if you encounter problems with it. If you're not tech savvy, it's probably worth renting your provider's equipment.
Advertisement for Mint Mobile ruins it. Don't promote a specific company, please. Also "get a case for your sunglasses" - please. Most sunglasses come with a case included except the cheap ones. Buy one expensive pair and keep it in your case. There, I solved your problem. This list also leaves out shopping only from thrift stores and going to events where you can get free items.
I’ve cut out extras like cookies, ice cream, chips, snacks, etc., altogether. As a single person, I’m spending under $45/week on average. I have canned, shelf-stable, and frozen pantries, so I’m buying fresh produce, milk, butter (once monthly), and cooking from scratch. One technique that has helped is minimizing meat consumption - it’s now a side, not a main event. Next steps for me are going back to making my own sourdough bread and yogurt. Finally, I’m focused on composting or eliminating waste.
I wish I could do that, but every time I try to restrict myself from snacking I fall miserably and have an even stronger addiction than before, feels bad man
What's an effortless way that you save money?
I stopped buying coffee at all and I’m making it at home. It saves a lot of money.
I buy instant coffee sticks cost me $1 for 6.
I take pictures of my receipts and it gives me cash backs
The bank where I work we have what we call “round up” which everytime i use my debit card it will round up to the nearest dollar and goes back to my savings
If u dont need a new car dont buy one repair what u have.
Call your car insurance ask for discount. Sometimes paying your insurance in full saves you $10 per month which ads up to $60-120.
Just use your old phone and not upgrading it. Dont do the lease phone. Thats like $20-40 a month you will save monthly if you own your own phone.

Agree. Table service warrants a tip. Ringing up an order does not.
My son and his wife are servers. We and they tip generously!

What is "car" ? 😂
I need to sell my car, but taking the bus in the winter is not fun where I live
Excellent !!!
9. People are eating way too much meat, specially beef.

Still wear them and get compliments lol
Expensive on the surface but lasted for years and is still going.
Another one to add to your list. Get a bidet. You save so much $ on Toilet paper and it can be added very easily to your toilet. Installed myself.
I have no problem with pushing the "no tip" button and using my credit card at at coffee shop. ;)
Damn,😂 I already do most of these already, and still struggling 😢
Hell yes! These ppl think they deserve a tip for making a cup of coffee or a sandwich? and that is their job! Give me a break! Everyone wants money for simply doing their job. I work in healthcare and cater to ungrateful ppl? Where is my tip?

I am giving up ordering from Amazon for a month and hubby is giving up wine for a month. We only buy fruit, veggies and meat.
I stopped ordering from Amazon and also stopped using my Amazon credit card for any purchases. My way of boycotting Jeff Bezos.
Paper towels in our house is for cat vomit only LOLOLOL
They are good for shining mirrors and windows so are newspapers
I would never use rags (and then wash) to clean the inside of my toilet. A couple squares of paper towels is money well spent.
No rent? Or mortgage?

You're so close to 100k subs!!!!! I'm thrilled for you!
9:30 I just started doing this myself, I go to Aldis, get some pound of Turkey/Ham, BBQ Chips some Cheese, and Bread all for about 10$ and that usually lasts me for most of the week.
It's really a game changer.
Cips are not nutritious!😮
Aldi's is a dream come true store for me... can't believe how low the prices are!! If you get past eating un-brand named foods, you're in the game!
You are my favorite TH-camr !!❤️
Great ideas! Oh, but the paper towels...they are the bane of my existence! I have 4 cats and with the cleaning of the litter boxes and the throw up (a thing with cats) no wash rag is going to do it. And then do I want that rag in my washer with my other clothes? And the additional water costs of constantly doing laundry?
I’m with you…I use them to wipe out my Guinea pig cages…they are a must
have…🐹
I use lots of paper towels, too, cleaning up cat messes! 😻
I get old clothes from thrift shops and cut them up. I use them for the yucky jobs and toss. Other rags for dusting and wiping up minorstuff i use cheap washcloths from walmart. I let the dirty ones accumulate and wash them in just that load😊
I can't give up paper towels for this reason. I'll throw up too if I have to clean up cat puke with something else then wash it.

SAD
You should treat yourself to a restaurant just once
I love gas buddy. Everything helps
Love this ! Thank you
I usually buy a medium tea for $ 2.99 daily. I'll make my own now.
Damn son! Your frugal living is so similar to a regular Mexican person with a good steady job… minus the gym. Jaja love your videos.
If you don’t have a sunglass case, use a thick sock!
🤣
Hell yeah!
I’ve been using a bit of paper towel wrapped around produce and then put in bag or container. It has made such a difference on how much longer the produce lasts and less waste.
I started using the bees wax paper or just glass jars to put our fruits and veggies in the fridge, they seem to be lasting longer.
The double whammy in doing this would be to invest this amount saved as your max contribution to your Roth IRA.

Awesome video!!!! Thank you so much.
Yeah, I think it's hurting restaurants a bit as I'm a bit drawn away from eating out or getting a coffee just because you feel shamed.
Same here! But I save money by eating out less because of it
I proudly tap NO TIP
I don't feel like a jerk, I just don't tip... 😉

Its lovely .you can make our own pop 2 if you want it . I can't stand regular non bubbley water.. I get 60 litres of liquid s. 4 less than $ 20.
Noooo- go grocery shopping every other week.
I agree buy a modem.
It pointless to continually pay to rent when you know you're always going to need the modem.
You might as well buy your own and stop stuffing your ISP's pockets.
Yeah, and the one they give you is very low quality. They move from house to house for years.
Make coffee at home. Buy sunglasses at the dollar store

Another way to save money on gasoline is to walk mostly and occasionally use public transit.
instead of going to the gym and paying 50+ dollars a month, work out at home. i have gotten in better shape without going to the gym with just an adjustable dumbbell set, bodyweight exercises, and running.
💯
Also, that water in the bottles may be no different from that what comes from your tap. Water in plastic bottles is immoral.
2:58i take my grocery bags that holes in them & use them as rags😮😮😮😮😮
You don't have to avoid the pressure to tip. You can just say no
I bring my lunch from home to work
I buy water, but I'm beginning to get worried about the health of using plastic bottles as plastic can release chemicals that cause cancer when warm. Well, these bottles may get hot in hot weather on lorries, or even in shops. or your bag. So, maybe a glass or stainless steel bottle would be best. Save health as well as money.
I always brought my lunch towork
I bought a treadmill. And canceled my gym membership. I can work out when ever for free.
You don’t need paper towels for ur bacon. First, I’m assuming ur bacon is free of nitrates and of good quality it’s ok to not drain that grease ur body will love it
You’re so smart man I do basically all of this
Cannot get my husband to order “ water” when eating out
People go through sunglasses that quick?! Only time I buy sunglasses is when mine brake or I go on vacation and forget to bring mine. That’s crazy people buy 4 pairs a year I’m rocking some from like 2018 dude
I love all your plants! I have around 50! LOL
If you're not tech savvy, it's probably worth renting your provider's equipment.
bold of you to assume i can afford a car or go out to a restaurant!
Fantastic tips, ignore the barbs XD

Great Information thanks
Great video! I so agree with all of these but especially about bottled water and paper towels.
Thank you!!!
I am with you on the paper towels. I think that is such a big waste. I use cloth towels
keep small appliances unplugged until need to use them.
I use paper towels to clean up cat barf and the toilet. I make bacon on the stove top and just put it on my plate.
Clean toilet with paper towels? WHY?
I'm just buying exactly only what I need, not Evan a bar of chocolate
I’ve cut out extras like cookies, ice cream, chips, snacks, etc., altogether. As a single person, I’m spending under $45/week on average. I have canned, shelf-stable, and frozen pantries, so I’m buying fresh produce, milk, butter (once monthly), and cooking from scratch. One technique that has helped is minimizing meat consumption - it’s now a side, not a main event. Next steps for me are going back to making my own sourdough bread and yogurt. Finally, I’m focused on composting or eliminating waste.
Basically no buy or low buy I’m right there with you
I wish I could do that, but every time I try to restrict myself from snacking I fall miserably and have an even stronger addiction than before, feels bad man
