Hello and welcome, creative friends! In today’s video, I’m trying soft pastels for the first time in my Seawhite sketchbook. I treated myself to some new art supplies, including a budget-friendly pastel set from Amazon, and I have no idea how the quality holds up-so let’s find out together!
For my first soft pastel sketch, I’ll be drawing Holywell Beach in Cornwall, a place that’s been on my mind for a while. I’m keeping this as a quick sketch to explore how pastels blend, layer, and feel on paper.
