Yo, that's two years and you're huge! Nice haha anyway I've been stuck around 185 for bench press for 4 reps. It's been about 2 months and I can't get past it. Any tips on how I can beat that? I usually work chest twice a week. One day u do 5 sets 12 reps of 60% of one rep max then one day I do 5 sets 3 reps of 80% of one rep max. I also do dumb bell presses, incline, and decline as well. David Laid sorry bro but I wouldn't call that "minimum momentum". You're very aesthetic for your age, don't get me wrong, but form > weight. Just drop the weight by 10 pounds and focus on keeping perfect form. Or else your biceps aren't doing all the work.
James English Actually it's been demonstrated that using a small amount of momentum is conducive to bicep hypertrophy. The bicep has a much lower partitioning of fast twitch muscle compared to the triceps and the contractile force potential at full bicep extension is very low relative to force potential at say 90 degrees of elbow flexion. a slight amount of momentum can help more effectively accomplish progressive overload without adversely affecting ROM. this has actually been demonstrated in a few studies including one by Layne Norton.

change up your whole set up bro try different sets and reps like a 5x5 or 4x8 and maybe try to add overhead military press to ur bench day.
