Have you hit on something here , order all your shopping on the Asda essentials products, and hopefully get up graded to Asda extra special items as replacement if items not available ?
If you buy the frozen mash it works out a bit cheaper, half the bag 55p 🙂

Asda have always done this beef, it's just now very obviously an Essentials items as the box is yellow.
They're not too bad, and I used to grab one occasionally if I just wanted a quick Sunday dinner for myself, although it's not as good value for money as it first seems as you only get 50g of Silverside beef, which (if you discount the gravy as something you could easily throw together yourself) makes it effectively £18 per kg -albeit at cooked weight. If a few of you are eating it's better value to buy a joint, as their tender roasting joints are currently £8/kg. In fact if you buy a joint, slice it and smother it in gravy you could make 34 freezable portions of this at an equivalent weight for about 25p.

the microwave meat is a no from me but glad u enjoyed it. Can u do some videos of fresh products done on the cheap I buy big pieces of meat at my local markets and can get several meals out of it so over the month works out just as cheap as these products made up just to give people different options. Either way great video and I enjoy watching them

the mash is ok i put a spoon full of butter in to make it taste better and some black pepper , we have tried most things in the asda value range , and the only thing we didnt like was the bolognese it tasted ok but had a weird texture to it , cant really call it a roast dinner theres nothing roasted on the plate lol needs some stuffing though

Its brill that 😋 I get the beef in gravy, its cheap & quite tasty. Will have to try the other things cos let’s s face it, veg is veg etc 😊
