Idk personally I have yet to lose to a hoopa. Yeah it has a lot of fast move pressure, but it is laughably frail. Unless you’re trying to play some sort of team with low charge move pressure I can’t imagine it being overwhelming. Mew is scary because it has great pacing, damage, and coverage. Hoopa only has damage, and as we see with Pokémon like gardevoir or Bruxish that isn’t enough to be ban worthy.
The only difference in my team is Glowbro in for Hoopa. Poison Jab, Sludge Bomb + Brutal Swing. I didn't lose a single match yesterday, which is a first for me. It probably helps that I played against a bunch of people with bad teams, of course.

I think Claydol and G Slowbro are the top contenders in this meta. The buffs they received make them exponentially better in this format. The only hard check to Clay is Xatu, which… lol.
yea i had to trade someone for one. did 3 and they all got 15 attack, one went lucky and gave me a hundo claydol lol. the one time i don't want good IVs from a trade.
I only have bronzong Malamar and gal rapidash build for this cup legit only three I have I keep changing leads and swaps around any advice? How would you play this team I don’t have stardust as I used it to make a team for ultra league so it’s really just these three
You know it’s an awful cup when a 2nd charge move is essentially irrelevant on a handful of the top meta pokemon. Niantic’s truly blundered this one. Ended in high 2300s yesterday, but my god is this cup miserable.

They banned Mew but not Hoopa. Allowing in a Ghost type for a Psychic Cup is just sheer negligence...

I’ve been using Hoopa and Claydol as well. I got a lot of 4-1 sets yesterday.
I used Bronzong instead of Rapidash.
I think with the move rebalance that the Psychic cup is kind of systemically flawed to encourage degen tap-tap teams.

switched claydol safe switch for malamar w/ psywave. went slightly positive but def recommend psycho cut
I have been doing great with Hidden Power Bug Shadow Duosion to delete malamar. The Malamar safe swaps have no idea what hit them.
