I remember building the grass hopper , frog foot , Blackfoot, the Clod Buster. I like rtr now and always willing to pay extra. It's a process. I really dig this rig for sure. Great video and biuld . Will be Good to crawl.
I've been building Tamiya RC cars since the early 80's (starting with the Holiday Buggy), I think I like building/repairing/modifying more than the actual driving.
Yup! Traded for Frog, then RC10 Gold Pan (NEVER should have sold it!!!) Then Wild One (I'd KILL for another!), King Cab (DITTO!), Madcap, Avante.... and kept going until the bottom fell out, and I lost nearly EVERYTHING, 7 Years ago. I've got 2-1/2 Rigs now, relying on the kindness of others.... It SUCKS! But, I did have a cool collection.
I know that the younger guys like hyperspeed.... But I couldn't actually SEE how anything was put together! That doesn't mean I didn't like it, but I'm an Old Fart with weaker vision. And, I've never found any thorough CR-01 builds before, so I appreciate that.
As you probably know by now. Locked the crawling abillity is much better but taking turns starts to suck a bit more. Have this crawler for years now and love it. Scale looks are a bit off but because of that it has great clearance.

I think I agree! I started a little after you, in late 84, with the Grasshopper. Building and modding IS fun.
PoorManRC same for me, grasshopper was the first kit I bought, sold it for the hornet, sold it for the fox ... and so on till now 🤣

One can easily see where Axial got its ideas for their original SCX10 from!
I speeded it up to make a shorter video … your remark is abolutely right. I'll try to make a longer edit, only speeding repetitive processes
