Man for the last few years I pack all my deer out on a Roycraft pack frame. No shelf needed, just jack em down tight with paracord. I carry em for miles sometimes.
I wanna drink a beer around a campfire somewhere deep in the mountains with this guy. I'm a backpack/haversack guy. Got plenty of shapes and sizes for different situations. I think this will be a good project next time I'm out.

Excellent video, the only thing i would add to it is how to cut the wood using a knife/wood baton and how do the lashings as most 1st timers have no clue on basic knot/hitch tying or bushcraftsy stuff. 😅👍

What no titanium tubes like they use on the space shuttle? Lol. I'm thinking PVC. But it does create issues with tying the paracord. You've given me ideas.
I enjoy bushcrafting survival video I did few on my channel like a mini survival kit and making a shelter with a trap . I personally don't know a whole lot a about bushcrafting and survival. I definitely enjoy watching video about bushcrafting and survival.

I've used ratchet straps (minus the ratchet & hardware) as treehuggers for my hammock before - they're hella strong. Bet they'd make a handy dual-use backpack strap too. If you were feeling excited, I think you could turn that pack frame into a bucksaw too. :)
Probably not same subject matter, but do you treat any of your great and clothing with like permethrin, to keep the bugs and crawlies away and off of you while sleeping out in the open?

Yes Sir,that interests me greatly and would possibly make one up as a B.O.B.. Nothing wrong with the red strapping. It adds a bit of pizzazz (technical term)🤗 to it. And darn it I just saw some discarded pull tape but didn't grab it. that would have worked well as strapping. Ya snooze,ya lose. 😁
I love your videos but this rack the way it is set up in my opinion is that the top part is leaning backwards and I had an extremely bad experience in the army when my extremely heavy backpack's top straps broke off while on a 60km march,. My back was hurting for a few days even though i was young and extremely fit as a result of my backpack leaning backwards (a lot though i felt like having a Porsche style whale wing)

I like to use my hammock instead of the webbing for my shoulder straps. This way I can use the hammock for more than one use.

I tie off my straps on bottom. The extra length still can be a waist belt. Just easier straps are always attached.
