I see manfreds punishment as a warning shot to other teams. I think its possible that if he suspended or banned players for life it would open a can of worms because I think he knows other teams are doing it and lifetime bans, etc make it more likely that players start to go scorched earth and take down others with them. While people are dissatisfied with this situation (somewhat justifiably), the damage that potentially having everything else exposed would do to the league would be even harder to recover from. Just speculation obviously since I’m not in a position to know anything outside of what’s been in the press but I think there’s a containment strategy to this from manfred for sure.

As fans, we must boycott MLB en masse until justice is served. Otherwise, it will get worse... A LOT WORSE. We must not contribute a penny or a second of our time to it. This is very very tough to do because I absolutely love the game, coach it and still (after 40 years) play a form of it. We must stop every cent and positive conversation regarding the MLB. This is a key reason I did not buy season tickets this year to the Chicago Cubs. Enough is enough. We must stop supporting MLB and demand justice by voting with our dollars and time to the MLB.

I should’ve said we got robbed of a WS appearance. Because with a team that young and some rookie talent, I wasn’t confident we would’ve beaten the Dodgers. Our bullpen needed some work then but CC was still throwing heat and that would’ve helped. But better the Dodgers than any other team in the AL.
Can we also punish the Patriots? Or is video taping not considered cheating?
