For Riga, I think something more chill would be cool. Join the HRE, conquer Lubek, and then become a world power via trade and development. I think leaning into a trade game would be fun, but also not make you do something insane. Also, I think an important thing for anyone watching videos is the difference between dislike and frustration. You can love a game but be frustrated while playing it when you get bad luck or have a series of rough moments. Like getting rebelled bombed for 90% of the game. Great vid, Hawk!
Riga is really great for playing very tall. It's even possible to play the entire campaign as an OPM Riga, expanding only through vassals and developing the crap out of this one province due to it's insane mission tree, making tons of ducats. When I played Riga I ended my campaign 1821 with my loyal vassals Prussia owning almost all of Prussia, Poland and Northern Germany, Livland owning Lithuania, the Baltics and a big chunk of Russia and the holy land for myself (under 6 provinces only counts for europe!), to just name a few. And of course trade leader in all relevant centers of trade, swimming in cash. It was a lot of fun.
The lands of Livonia, which includes Riga, were also called Terra Mariana. So as Riga own the entire state of West Micronesia, the 3 provinces closest to the Mariana Trench.
Riga is a heavily trading focused nation, so as riga, make the Baltic trade node the highest valued node in the world and have the largest share of trade power in 7 different nodes.
As Sweden, you should unite Scandinavia, make Muscovy not exist, and take Constantinople, changing the name to Miklagård (the Viking name for Constantinople). Bonus points: Colonize North America and have Vinland own all of modern-day Canada.
Another Riga suggestion i have is complete Riga mission tree (doable by 1550-60) And form Lubeck, but after forming Lubeck you have to return to Theocracy to keep the modifier on Riga Afterwards complete the Hansa mission ‘Queen of the Hansa’. I have a surprise for you there.😅
love the video. Also the ‘I love EU4’ face u did was the most Stockholm syndrome thing ive seen all week 😂 As Riga, stay an OPM (optional, colony doesnt count), have 100 dev in Riga, and own a colony (new/old world is fine)
Famous world chess champion Mikhail Tal was from riga and he firstly won candidates in zurich and qualified for championship game and become champion in Moscow and he was famous for using his knights well. So as Riga create a 50 dev Tal riga and make switzerland and moscow your vassals while doing all only use cavalry.
Riga is the only province with Balten culture that is part of the German culture group. As Riga, conquer all provinces with the German culture (and Memel too, Memel is definitely Prussian) and convert all of them to Balten culture.
As Sweden you should reclaim all Viking colonies. From the Rus to Vinland. I don't think this necessarily requires total conquest, but it would mean beating several great powers in wars
As Riga, core the entire Baltic region and complete the Terra Mariana achievement. For a bonus goal, switch religion and stick it to the Pope by raiding the heretic Catholics in Rome in order to complete the Purify the Temple achievement.
Riga is the only nation capable of getting both centers of reformation as well as the religious spread through trade mechanic so as Riga get both in your country and become at least a tier 3 defender of the faith. Also as a side quest you could try completing their MT
I have Pain mission for you Hawk! so there are 3 challenges and a simple rule that EU4 wants you to obey with Riga! The rule is Riga modifier which says to have no more than 5 provinces in the European continent! challenge nr.1 we are going to borrow from releasables: Become a great power as Riga challenge nr.2 colonise Onodowaga province (Northwest of Manahahttan) where in real life you can find village of Riga in modern times challenge nr.3 conquer or vassalise Tirhut province (between Jaunpur and Bengal) where in real life you can find city of Riga in modern times And greetings to you and all the EU4 fans from Riga, Latvia
Move capital to Adan before deving for renaissance! Reduces Adan's local autonomy to 0. Massively increases trade power, significantly increases naval force limit, and a better trade good (incense). Yemen usually buffs its capital, which after annexation is part of Adan's state (thus lower gov cap impact). Fun run. Thank you for the enjoyment.
Rassids are one of my favorites to play. Very strong military and with the new mission tree, very strong trade focused economy. With the potential to blob a bit, it’s a fun time.
Riga has one of the coolest mission rewards in the game. If you stay under (I think )6 provinces in Europe you get massive province modifiers in your capital that let you keep up with the rest of the world. In that spirit, I think that as Riga you should become one of the top 4 great powers, dev all of your provinces to 50, and maybe as a bonus goal have the highest income.
I haven't watched yet but I just want to you know that the country is called Marehan, not Maheran and I predict that this country will be mentioned in this video due to your close proximity lolz
Both achievments for Riga will be great. Done them two days ago around 1518 (with very safe play style), so it should not take very long. Achievments are always fun 😊
Little PSA because this is exactly the kind of thing you'd get happening to you: if you go Protestant as Riga and have the Orders as vassals, make sure they DO NOT go Prot themselves you will lose buffs
Mikhail Tal of Riga won the candidates tournament in Belgrade and then the World Championship in Moscow. So obviously you need to own both of those cities as Riga. That’s all.
Kurland used to have a couple of colonies for a while, in modern day Gambia and in Trinidad & Tobago. So, as Riga, form Kurland and own those provinces.
As Riga complete the "Purify the Temple" Achievement: Starting as Riga, enact the Salvific Plutocracy government reform and raid the heretic church of Rome.
There is only one thing you should do as Riga do the Purify the Temple achievement while owning less than 5 provinces in Europa, last part can be ignored if the pain level is to high!
You don't need to take down the rebels right away. They are actually pretty good for deterring your early enemies because they will just walk back and forth between your two unfortified provinces and beat up any of your enemies that attempted to enter.
For Riga there are bonus which is applied only if you are 5 provinces or less. So as Riga goal is to be in Great Power list not being more then 5 provinces
Got a suggestion in here, more are welcome, I reserve the right to replace any I don’t like though :) As Ryazan, have Ramazan as a subject As Ryukyu own these three mountains: Mt. Fuji, Mt. Everest and Mt. Paektu As Savoy, from Sardinia-Piedmont and have Tuscany and the Two Sicilies as subjects (credit to @joeking1986) As Scotland, make England not exist (obviously), colonise Nova Scotia and Panama, and spawn Manufactories because Scotland has a big role in the Industrial Revolution As Serbia, convert all Serbian culture provinces to Sorbian As Switzerland, be the real Swiss Guard by allying and guaranteeing the Papal States and make sure they never lose a war As Tlemcen, own Moscow because Hayreddin Barbarossa/Operation Barbarossa As Tunis, do whatever you think will annoy Laith the most As Tyrone, convert all English and Scottish culture provinces to Irish As Ulster, form the Netherlands and go Protestant because William of Orange As Uzbek, form the worst formable nation and make it so no hordes exist As Vijayanagar, the “City of Victory”, win a war against all the big Indian states at once
I was disappointed in the end. Usually by the time you reach Granada.. Castile has a PU on Aragon, or at least has a couple colonies along with a couple powerful allies, which would be hard to take Granada from. I love playing the Rassids. They have a fun mission tree with some pretty strong perma modifiers on them, not to mention a great project that gives them a nice manpower buff. Also you can do some random ruler cheese at the start if you let your country fall to rebels. You might get a better ruler that way.
New Fans like bro did you guys ever play the game? We (the players) love the game, the game hates us. So seeing someone getting mad isnt him hating the game but the game hating him.
good run, IMO it would have been more satisfying to conquer Ethiopia and push west through the sahel and then conquer up into morocco but I guess you're on a timetable so it might not be feasible.
i think people think you hate eu4 cause there've been a few times when youve said that like you cant play the game for fun anymore because its your job, and a few other things from your Q&As, not just because of the pain of A to Z
As Norse Scandinavia, become the Emperor of China and conquer all of modern China. Conquer all regions inhabited by Vikings/Viking Descendants like the Normans and Constantinople. Or as Hisn Kayfa, restore the Ayyubids, either form the Mughal Empire or restore the Roman Empire.
OMG the comments! Stop with the over the top suggestions. Dude, as Riga just conquer modern day Baltic nations' borders. (Lithuania-Latvia-Estonia) Maybe enact Salvific Plutocracy if it's easy enough, because I've never seen that. Basically, try to do the achievements but just enjoy yourself.
Para Bellum Main Show Is LIVE On June 26th at 18:00 CEST: doras.to/parabellum
As Riga, vassalize the Papal States, Livonian Order, Teutonic Order and the Knights
For Riga, I think something more chill would be cool. Join the HRE, conquer Lubek, and then become a world power via trade and development. I think leaning into a trade game would be fun, but also not make you do something insane.

Maybe as a side goal, have no more than 5(?) provinces?
@@CaliRed1865 It's doable, and as a side challenge can be abandoned if he is gonna lose.
really like this idea. become the number 1 in income from trade
Riga is really great for playing very tall. It's even possible to play the entire campaign as an OPM Riga, expanding only through vassals and developing the crap out of this one province due to it's insane mission tree, making tons of ducats.

As Riga, make the Orthodox faith not exist.
Alexander Nevsky: “NOOOOO!!!”
Please :)
Up
Pain.
As an Orthodox, I disapprove of this comment
As Riga secure the means of production of rigatoni: conquer Italy
The lands of Livonia, which includes Riga, were also called Terra Mariana. So as Riga own the entire state of West Micronesia, the 3 provinces closest to the Mariana Trench.
Riga is a heavily trading focused nation, so as riga, make the Baltic trade node the highest valued node in the world and have the largest share of trade power in 7 different nodes.
Maybe also spawn global trade?
As Sweden, you should unite Scandinavia, make Muscovy not exist, and take Constantinople, changing the name to Miklagård (the Viking name for Constantinople).
Bonus points: Colonize North America and have Vinland own all of modern-day Canada.
Another Riga suggestion i have is complete Riga mission tree (doable by 1550-60)
And form Lubeck, but after forming Lubeck you have to return to Theocracy to keep the modifier on Riga
Afterwards complete the Hansa mission ‘Queen of the Hansa’. I have a surprise for you there.😅
That Granadan independence from Castile at the end was pure luck. RNGesus smiled at you.
Cant wait for the ParaBellum series to continue tomorrow, had a blast watching you and Laith the last time! :)
love the video. Also the ‘I love EU4’ face u did was the most Stockholm syndrome thing ive seen all week 😂

the red hawk when he looks at his neighbors: 1:53

Riga is the only nation capable of getting both centers of reformation as well as the religious spread through trade mechanic so as Riga get both in your country and become at least a tier 3 defender of the faith. Also as a side quest you could try completing their MT
You can also get both as Zoroastrian Persia/Ehranshahr
19:43 "THE PAIN"
What Hawk said: “I don’t hate it.”
What he wanted to say: “But it does hate me.”
Of course, just after I post this, the game gives Hawk the biggest break anyone ever got.
I have Pain mission for you Hawk!
so there are 3 challenges and a simple rule that EU4 wants you to obey with Riga!

19:44 He said the thing! He said the thing!
As Riga, who needs Berlin? Culture convert Moscow to Balten German.
As Riga, become a great power while staying as an OPM
As Riga, only conquer centers of trade and get over 500 development
Move capital to Adan before deving for renaissance! Reduces Adan's local autonomy to 0. Massively increases trade power, significantly increases naval force limit, and a better trade good (incense). Rassids are one of my favorites to play. Very strong military and with the new mission tree, very strong trade focused economy. With the potential to blob a bit, it’s a fun time.
As Riga, cook a real Rigatoni and form Italy
I’m glad that someone else sees them. They are pretty tough, but can be really fun.
As riga do not own more than 1 province yourselff and be the main collector of the richest trade node in the game
It's worth noting that you can still have trade companies and colonies and vassals, those don't affect the modifier
Finally some love for the Rassids. One of my favourite nations, but it being a hidden gem adds to the value
I haven't watched yet but I just want to you know that the country is called Marehan, not Maheran and I predict that this country will be mentioned in this video due to your close proximity lolz

Mikhail Tal of Riga won the candidates tournament in Belgrade and then the World Championship in Moscow. So obviously you need to own both of those cities as Riga. That’s all.
Zaid is proud of you🤣🤣
17:30 Forming Yemen is the full experience as the Rassids, they represent the dynasty that ruled Yemen for a very long time.
As Riga, complete Purify the Temple achievement, while having the Baltic Sea the highest valued trade node in the world.
Kurland used to have a couple of colonies for a while, in modern day Gambia and in Trinidad & Tobago. So, as Riga, form Kurland and own those provinces.

The snake is back!
I miss him since season A in India
As Riga, play a Riged game:
Play very hard and try to become a great power.
Got a suggestion in here, more are welcome, I reserve the right to replace any I don’t like though :)
As Ryazan, have Ramazan as a subject
As Ryukyu own these three mountains: Mt. Fuji, Mt. Everest and Mt. Paektu

As Tlemcen, own Moscow because Hayreddin Barbarossa/Operation Barbarossa
As Tunis, do whatever you think will annoy Laith the most
As Tyrone, convert all English and Scottish culture provinces to Irish
As Ulster, form the Netherlands and go Protestant because William of Orange
As Uzbek, form the worst formable nation and make it so no hordes exist
As Vijayanagar, the “City of Victory”, win a war against all the big Indian states at once
Hawk should just do the Tunis one.
Classic Riga gameplay, as Riga, become a great power while remaining a OPM.
God I panicked when you didn’t notice Granada popping out for years 😂
Absolutely one of my fav nations in the game
I think its more fun to start with Mamluk, form Egypt change the culture to Yemen unite Yemen and then form Arabia from there
So you can take western technology and form arabia
As Riga, own the whole Baltic Region through vassals (you stay an OPM).
I was disappointed in the end. Usually by the time you reach Granada.. As Riga, purify the temple (achievement)
As Riga, own or have a subject own every province with a center of trade, estuary, natural harbor etc. that has access to the baltic sea
Riga, huh...
As Riga own 5 other Hansa trade ports and be the richest nation in the world
3:57 Mahra crying in the corner
Making Chile in old world as Rassids : The video .
As Riga, form the United States of Ameriga, own the entire Thirteen Colonies colonial region and upgrade the Great Project to Tier 3 :)
you look vibrant and healthy brother
16:38
It was easy......until it wasn't. * dramatic music playing *
If it were a Laith video, I would certainly have some second thoughts about Granada popping up so convienently... 😅
Hawk is the only one who can cure baldness
Central European Summer Time - nothing else.
New Fans like bro did you guys ever play the game? We (the players) love the game, the game hates us. So seeing someone getting mad isnt him hating the game but the game hating him.
as Riga own a Center of Trade in English Channel, Venice, Genoa and Sevilla... all while staying in the special 5 Cities only Riga Game Mechanics
good run, IMO it would have been more satisfying to conquer Ethiopia and push west through the sahel and then conquer up into morocco but I guess you're on a timetable so it might not be feasible.
I honestly thought at first you cheated, but since you showed off the rebel history, seems legit.
i think people think you hate eu4 cause there've been a few times when youve said that like you cant play the game for fun anymore because its your job, and a few other things from your Q&As, not just because of the pain of A to Z
bro built like the dude from the atlas earth ad
Riga the strongest OPM: As Riga ensure there are no OPMs in Europe.
I just realized I have somehow not been subscribed despite watching 420.69% of videos released lately. That has been corrected.
As Riga be no1 wp!
yw😂
For Riga, just make a guide for me 🙈
As Norse Scandinavia, become the Emperor of China and conquer all of modern China. Conquer all regions inhabited by Vikings/Viking Descendants like the Normans and Constantinople.
Or as Hisn Kayfa, restore the Ayyubids, either form the Mughal Empire or restore the Roman Empire.
As Riga make the Baltic Sea the richest node in the world and get Global Trade spawned.
As Riga become HRE with decentralized rule
As Riga conquer Ragusa, Ingolstadt, Gotland and Austria.
As riga stay as one province nation and have france and balkans regions as non tributary subjects
damn man buy some lottery tickets!
bro built like the dude from the atlas earth af
As Ottoman become HRE Emperor
As riga have every order and crusader countries as vassals
Join HRE, stay OPM, vassalize Lithuania and Muscovy. Bonus goal: become free city of HRE
You should have taken Divine Ideas.
habibi vs quarbro idk who to root for
PAIN!
As Riga form Commonwealth
Riga's whole gimmick is about being tall. I don't care too much about the actual goal, but I'd like to see it stay under 6 provinces for the duration.
Which graphics mods does Red Hawk use?
OMG the comments! Stop with the over the top suggestions. Dude, as Riga just conquer modern day Baltic nations' borders. (Lithuania-Latvia-Estonia) Maybe enact Salvific Plutocracy if it's easy enough, because I've never seen that. Basically, try to do the achievements but just enjoy yourself.
no comments about the backwards hat?!
Congrats on the victory!
One grain of salt, the hat kind of ruins the villain moustache look 😢
as riga retake jerusalem
The entire section from 0:10 to 0:25 sounds like some sort of secret code or cult or something😂. EU4 TH-camrs have such weird names 😂
👍
mmm i think that is a half success, cause ceuta is a core of granada
For the second time, it's MA-RE-HAN, not MA-HE-RAN.
09:05 you could've moved your army into Ethiopia before you declared the war. You don't get exiled if you're in an ally's territory when you declare.
